Domino Squad

Domino Squad as a whole

  • Back from the Dead:All of Domino Squad. It's heavily implied to have been caused by the Force itself. Chapter 45 confirms that it's because the Sister chose Domino Squad as her champions in an attempt to Set Right What Once Went Wrong.
  • Deadpan Snarker: All of them are this, naturally.
  • Faking the Dead: After Halle Burtoni learns that Hevy's chip has been removed, the squad have to fake their deaths. Hevy (and Flak) fake their deaths on Coruscant while the rest fake theirs when taken by the shinies who are under the influence of this chips.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: All of Domino Squad are pretty traumatized by their deaths, and tend to react badly when confronting whatever causes them.

    Fives

Fives (CT-5555)

Species: Clone

Homeworld: Kamino

  • Arch-Enemy: He has three. Pong Krell for his actions on Umbara. As well as, Lama Su and Palpatine for getting him killed in his past life.
  • Berserk Button: Pong Krell. The mere mention of his name pisses Fives off immensely.
  • Hypocritical Humor: Fives is the one who instructs the Dominoes not blow their secret about being time travelers, and then proceeds to always be the one to accidentally give it away.

    Echo

Echo (CT-1409)

Species: Clone

Homeworld: Kamino

  • Death by Adaptation: In his past life, Echo survived his torture at Wat Tambor's hands and was eventually rescued, going on to serve in the Bad Batch even after the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire. Here, he dies while in Tambor's custody so the story can happen.
  • Trauma Button: Wat Tambor is this to the point he briefly goes AWOL in an attempt to kill him on Ryloth.

    Hevy

Hevy (CT-782)

Species: Clone

Homeworld: Kamino

  • Appropriated Appellation: He was likely named Hevy due his heavy personality, which is reflected in his preference for heavy weapons like the Z-6 Rotary Cannon.
  • BFG: Again, he favors the Z-6 Rotary Cannon.
  • Blood Knight: Of all the members of Domino Squad, he's the most eager to see real action and is also the most aggressive member of the group.
  • Character Development: Hevy starts thinking things through more and abandoning his shoot-first mentality, though he stays a Blood Knight. He even turns out to be a great political speaker, drumming up support for giving the clones more rights.
  • Doomed Moral Victor: Subverted. Hevy becomes a symbol for giving the clones equal rights after his death is faked so he can escape Coruscant.

  • The Chosen One: Anakin will stop the Sith and bring balance to the force. The Daughter wishes to prevent Anakin's turn to the darkside with the Domino Squad acting as her champions. While the Son wants Anakin to turn using Krell as his champion.
  • Everybody Knew Already: Fives is clearly aware of his relationship with Padmé.
  • Rebuilt Pedestal: Fives view of Anakin improves after the aforementioned apology and his vow to help the clones after learning the circumstances of Fives' death.
  • Red Oni: Seen especially in his dynamic with Obi-Wan. Anakin is the Red Oni, one who is more chaotic, likely to break the rules, jump into fights, and is more passionate and emotional.

    Padmé Amidala

Padmé Amidala

Species: Human

Homeworld: Naboo

Title: Senator of Naboo

  • Badass Normal: Padmé has no superhuman abilities, but is more than capable of defending herself.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Padmé has a strong, unwavering desire to help others in need, even if it puts her in danger. She has dedicated her life to public service, which includes clone rights.
  • The Determinator: Not even attempted assassination or her secret husbands' pleas will prevent her from getting the Clones the rights they deserve.

Galactic Republic Senate

    Chancellor Palpatine

Sheev Palpatine (Darth Sidious)

Species: Human

Homeworld: Naboo

Title: Supreme Chancellor of the Republic/Dark Lord of the Sith

  • Greater-Scope Villain: While the Dominoes know that he's responsible for the chips, their participation in the war ended well before Order 66 and the establishment of the New Order. As such, they think he's a traitor, but don't know what the end goal is, the true purpose of the chips, or that the Chancellor is secretly a Sith Lord.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Downplayed, but Hevy sees Palpatine glowering at Anakin during his speech voicing his support for Clone rights despite previously using his kindly grandfather demeanor up until that point. At one point, Hevy even briefly sees his Palpatine's true face.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: To the public, he's viewed as a benevolent ruler. In actuality, he's as far away as that description than you can imagine. Even Domino Squad is unaware that he's actually a Sith Lord, and only believe that he's just a corrupt traitor.

    The Brother

The Son

  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: He has no idea why his sister opted for Domino Squad and mocks her for it.
  • Evil Is Hammy: He has a very over-the-top demeanor, and his first line in the story has him shouting.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: He shares this with Palpatine. As he wishes to enact Anakin's fall to the dark side and selects Krell as his champion.

    His Champion

Pong Krell

Species: Besalisk

Homeworld: Ojom

Occupation: Fallen Jedi/Champion of the Son

  • Dirty Coward: During his duel with Luminara and Mace, he at one point holds Gree hostage. When Gree frees himself, he later tries to flee the scene.
  • The Neidermeyer: Obviously this goes without saying considering the actions of his canon counterpart. Here we see him abuse his troops and isolate them from the outside world. His most frequent victim was Captain Kyber.
  • Smug Snake: Brags about his strength when up against Mace Windu and Luminara Unduli.
  • Strong and Skilled: His natural Besalisk strength combined with his Jedi combat training makes Krell an extremely deadly combatant both with a lightsaber and unarmed. Here we see him get in a duel with two other Jedi Masters.
  • You Are Number 6: As with canon, he always refers to his clones by their alphanumeric designations.
