• Ensemble Dark Horse: Captain Kyber was created by Meridian for this fic. To say that he's become a very popular character would be a massive undersatement.
  • This fic can also be credited with bringing Cutup, Hevy, and Droidbait, characters who barely even got screentime in canon, to the limelight. After Dominoes first premiered, many more fics featuring the entirety of Domino Squad started to emerge.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Cutup, when picking what to paint his armor, doesn't know what to paint (he died a Shiny on the Rishi Moon and never got the option). He ends up painting his helmet to resemble Ahsoka's markings. This was done years before season seven of Clone Wars was released, where the final arc showed that a large number of the 332nd went on to do the same thing.
• Iron Woobie: All of Domino Squad, but especially Fives and Echo, who are struggling with the traumas they've experienced and still press on.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Fox and Dogma have, shall we say, not the best first impressions in the show. Here, they are both given a bit more character development, with Fox being characterized as A Father to His Men, whose murder of Fives is strongly implied to be the result of involuntary Mind Control. Dogma, on the other hand, has enough of his canon personality traits to prevent him from being out of character, but after a brief stint of Brainwashed and Crazy, goes through some character development and realizes that there IS such a thing as "orders you shouldn't follow."
• The Woobie: Commander Fox. He's A Father to His Men who's desperately struggling with running the Coruscant Guard while dealing with being overworked, racism against clones, and his memory loss, which results in him losing days of his life. Then he learns that it's because of the biochip, which turns him into a mindless slave; he immediately realizes he's likely been doing some horrible things that he can't even remember, and then is told he can't have it removed or it will be suspicious. And finally, Palpatine has him and the rest of the Coruscant Guard permanently brainwashed and left as mindless slaves full-time, with his first task being to hunt down and kill his friend Hevy.
  • Kyber definitely also qualifies as one.
