Heroes and Allies

    Ghost Batter
"Then I'll be coming to open a can of whoopass!"
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Ghost Batter has a crippling hero complex, which is obvious enough to the point where Huaso needs to confront him on what his sworn duty is doing to his psyche.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Has a quip or creative insult for just about every situation.
  • Death Is Cheap: Derivative. Ghost Batter is, well, a ghost, being undead by nature.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Ghost Batter's selling point.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: His first line in both this game and the previous one sends this trope all the way home from the beginning.
    Borbo
  • Black Eyes of Evil: With his weird pitch black vortex eyes. However, we're given no reason to assume he's evil until the ending cutscene, and in the subsequent game.
  • Cool Helmet

The Harbingers

    General
  • Death Is Cheap: Derivative. The Harbingers are undead by nature, though not immortal. Borbo is the only character incapable of dying permanently, simply respawning each time he's incapacitated.
  • Ironic Name: The Positive Harbingers each have names that denote good things (Health, Peace, Abundance, and Life), but are the antagonists who are terrorizing the populace. Meanwhile, the Negative Harbingers named after the four horsemen of the apocalypse are your main allies, though Death turns out to be not so benevolent.
  • Odd Friendship: Practically each pair of Harbingers that are of opposite Grades. Sometimes this leads into romantic territory.
  • One-Winged Angel: When exposed to their attributed element for a long period of time, Harbingers have the ability to go into "Full Mode". In this mode, they become the personifications of their aspects, often becoming entirely different people. Harbingers will stay in this mode until they are doused with an ample amount of an element they're weak to.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: All of the Positive Harbingers are blue in color scheme, and all the Negative Harbingers are red. This trope goes hand in hand with Blue Is Heroic and Red Is Violent.
  • Theme Naming: The Negative Harbingers; Huaso, Reinzi, and Carbine were named after horses, referencing the fact that they represent the horsemen of the apocalypse.

     Flo (Health)
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite being his unhealthy fixation on fire, he's a very competent doctor, make no mistake.
  • Family of Choice: Flo considers Reinzi "the brother he never had".
  • Keet: All the criteria is met; young, hyperactive, annoying, yet lovable.
  • Fragile Speedster: Though not particularly strong, his other strength outside of his regenerative abilities is being very, very, very hard to hit.
  • Meaningful Name: Though not intended on the part of the creator, his full name, Florence, can be attributed to Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing, referencing his occupation as a medic.
  • Playing with Fire: Flo is a textbook pyromaniac, most likely receiving this obsession after his awakening as Health. His element is Fire/Meat, and he's weak to Water/Plastic.

     Huaso (Pestilence)
  • Blessed with Suck: He perceives his status as the Harbinger of Pestilence as nothing but a burden, and actively distances himself from others to protect them.
  • Making a Splash: Though it doesn't suit him, his element is Water/Plastic, and he's weak to Fire/Meat.
  • Poisonous Person: Harbors all sorts of infectious diseases, being Pestilence and all.
  • Primal Fear: Of fire, as all Harbingers of Pestilence are weak to this element. His opposite's obsession with lighting things up doesn't help much.
  • Tears of Blood: A side effect from his status as Pestilence.

     Par (Peace)
  • Making a Splash: His element is Water/Plastic, and he's weak to Fire/Meat.
  • Older Than They Look: Par is permanently in his mid-late 40's, despite being much smaller than one would expect.

     Reinzi (War)
  • Playing with Fire: His element is Meat/Fire, but compared to Flo, he doesn't have as much of a grip on controlling his element. It usually manifests in the form of his hair catching fire.
  • Sunglasses at Night: Staring into his eyes can drive a person into insatiable wrath, so he wears red shades to mitigate direct eye contact.
  • The Stoic: Classic example. Due to his fire powers rearing their head when his emotions get out of control, he literally has to keep calm, or else.
  • What Beautiful Eyes!: Behind his shades, his eyes are painted like sunsets. Aside from Par, no one can see them and resist going mad, though.

     Mida (Abundance)
  • Call to Agriculture: Being the Harbinger of Abundance, while he is capable of curing world hunger, the downside is being seen as a resource rather than a person. As such, he prefers to live in Nowhere, cultivating his farm and livestock.
  • Eyes Always Shut
  • Green Thumb: His element is Metal/Earth, but given his association with farming, his powers manifest as such. He's still weak to Smoke/Wind, though.
  • Self-Deprecation: Often makes jokes at his own expense and jests how much of a "bad person" he is.

     Carbine (Famine)
  • Blow You Away: Her element is Smoke/Wind, and she's weak to Metal/Earth.

     Lepi (Life)
  • A God Am I: Considers himself the supreme ruler of everything that lives and breathes.
  • Blow You Away: His element is Smoke/Wind, and he's weak to Metal/Earth.
