Voiced by: Ryōta Ōsaka
  • Anti-Hero: He does not hesitate to kill monsters and criminals to steal their skills and points to satisfy his hunger but he uses his power to protect the innocent and do the right thing morally.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: His skill is the mortal sin gluttony which he uses to satisfy his hunger by killing monsters and criminals but he is not a villain.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: He becomes attached to Roxy because she saved him many times and accepts his power.
  • Berserk Button: Hurting his loved ones and innocent people is a good way to drive him to rage.
  • Captain Ersatz: A clear cut one to Kirito. The anime adaptation tweaks his unmasked appearance to resemble Kirito far less.
  • Character Development: He was angry from the way he was treated because of his useless skill. When he discovers his secret power he decides to payback the humiliation he received from everyone, however having many loved ones prevents him from getting consumed by anger and he abandons his quest for revenge while also forgiving many people.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: He wears black clothes and a skull mask but he is not evil.
  • Foil: To Rafale while both have similar backstories Fate did not succumb to his inner demons unlike Rafael who is too far gone.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Played with, Myne warns him not to kill the divine dragon as he was not ready to consume a power of this scale, but he decides to kill the dragon regardless to protect Roxy, almost getting consumed by the skill and Myne nearly killing him if not for Roxy saving him from getting consumed by the skill.
  • Nerves of Steel: He does not back down from facing stronger opponents.
  • Power Parasite: The more he kills the more skills he gains and the stronger he gets.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: His eyes turn crimson red when he activates starvation mode.
  • Rescue Romance: He develops Feelings for Roxy when she saves him twice, First from Rafale and second from dying.
  • Super-Senses: When he activates his starvation mode he become perceptive in all his senses

    Greed

Voiced by: Tomokazu Seki
One of the Deadly Sin Weapons, an intelligent sword who can transform into different types of weapons, but requires the wielder to sacrifice their stats to use it.
  • Anti-Magic: Scythe form can cut though magic.
  • Cast from Experience Points: Greed can absorb it's user stats to activate it's abilities. In fact just to be it's rightful owner requires the user to give up all of their current stats to it just to unlock Bow mode, and special attacks require at least 10%. For anyone else, this is Awesome, but Impractical but for Fate who can absorb stats, it's a blessing.
  • Equippable Ally: He is a weapon and indispensable ally to fate
  • Living Weapon: He is a soul inside a sword
  • Morph Weapon: He has four additional different forms: Scythe, Bow, Shield, Staff and gauntlets.
  • Shipper on Deck: He teases fate for his relationship with Roxy.

  • Captain Ersatz: A female knight with long hair who develops feelings for a man dressed in black (who happens to be one year younger than her). Are we talking about Roxy or Asuna?
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Roxy is a blonde, and she's also kind towards other people.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: To complement her blonde hair.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: A member of the Holy Knights, Roxy holds the belief that the strong must be punished and the weak rescued.
  • Whole Costume Reference: Roxy's initial outfit resembles Asuna's iconic "Blood Cloth" outfit, with the differences being blue trimmings rather than red, elbow-length gauntlets as well as knee-high boots with stiletto heels. Her later outfit would take on a more original design.
