Human Antagonists

     Whittney

Archetype: Unknown

A supervillain who serves as an enemy to Lori. She attacks Lori and Lincoln while the former is taking a rest from patrolling.
  • Archenemy: Fancies herself as this to Lori.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Whitney started tearing up a mall because she didn't manage to buy a purse she wanted.
  • Rich Bitch: Has access to lots of money thanks to her parents, but is a spoiled brat.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: She doesn't leave much of an impression beyond her introductory chapters, but her fight with Lori does lead to Lincoln discovering his Super-Empowering abilities, giving a silver lining to his Archetype.

     Fiona

Archetype: Magical Girl(?)

A rather easy-to-anger girl who serves as an antagonistic foil to Leni.

She's some type of Magical Girl like Leni, but unlike her, her specific magical power lets her conjure up black flames.

     Tetherby

Archetype: Unknown

Soulless

     In General
Zombie-like creatures that are the result of an Archetype either losing their soul (Husk) or having it corrupted (Tainted).
  • Always Chaotic Evil: The Husks are too mindless to think about morality, and all Tainted seen so far seem to desire to cause nothing but destruction.
  • Bishōnen Line: Inverted. The stronger variations, the Tainted, are typically much more monstrous than their inferior Husk counterparts.
  • The Corruption: This process is what turns someone into a Tainted.
  • The Dreaded: Most Bystanders wet themselves whenever they appear, and certain Tainted can even become this to powerful Archetypes.
  • Elite Zombie: Among The Soulless, the Tainted serve as this. Rather than losing their souls, like Husks, they go through The Corruption, retaining not only some of their mental faculties but also their Archetypes, making them much more dangerous in general. Just one of them gave Lori a run for her money during the Action Prologue.
  • Generic Doomsday Villain: Most of them lack the intelligence to develop much of a personality, and the few who do still seem to prioritize destroying everything just because.
  • Not Using the "Z" Word: Despite being effectively living zombies, they're called either "Husks" or "Tainted" depending on how their soul was affected.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: They behave like zombies, walk slowly and emit low groans, but otherwise look like normal people.
  • The Soulless: It's right there in their name, though technically only the Husks fit the description. Tainted still have their souls, it's just that they've been corrupted, causing them to turn into the beasts you see.
  • Technically-Living Zombie: They which emit low groans and wall slowly, but otherwise look like normal people. It's revealed these are people whose souls were lost thanks to not taking good care of them.
  • Was Once a Man: They were formerly Archetypes before their souls got either lost (Husks) or corrupted (Tainted).
  • Zerg Rush: This is the only viable tactic the average Husk can do, since they're pretty mindless otherwise and far too weak to pose a threat individually.

     Invisible Tainted

Archetype: Unknown (power includes Invisibility as a power)

The first Tainted ever seen, and the first villain in general. It was spotted during the attack at the coffee shop in the Action Prologue.

Its unnamed Archetype allows it to become invisible.

     The Corrupted One

Archetype: Unknown

A massive Tainted who once wrecked havoc until it was stopped by Leni. It eventually returns during the Husk outbreak at the mall.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: This Tainted is massive.
  • The Dreaded: Leni absolutely feared seeing this thing again.
  • The Heavy: While Fiona and Chandler are the ones responsible for the Husk outbreak, The Corrupted One dwarfs both of them in threat level.
  • Nigh-Invulnerable: This thing can take one hell of a beating; it's still standing Even after taking an attack filled with Leni's energy, and it takes Tuxedo Linky and Leni shooting another, combined full power blast to put it down.
  • Rasputinian Death: He takes, in order: Multiple attacks from Leni, multiple attacks from Tuxedo Linky, Leni's full power blast, and it takes a full power Combination Attack between Tuxedo Linky and Leni before they finally go down.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Like Whittney, their arrival marks the discovery of another one of Lincoln's abilities; namely, the Genre Shift.
