- Functional Addict : Unlike Johnny, Lily can always get motivated to perform, and has been using heroin occasionally for some time.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot : How she tempts Johnny a second time in Paradise City.
- Insistent Terminology : She prefers "bordello" to brothel.
- Meaningful Name : "Lily" is clearly a Shout-Out to Lillith, a Hebrew demon and Adam's first wife, who was expelled from the Garden of Eden for insisting on being on top during sex.
- The Smurfette Principle : The only woman (and a genderfluid one at that) in a group of guys.
- Unproblematic Prostitution : The only issue with Lily's job in a high end brothel is that she doesn't tell anyone what she does. Everyone is cool with it when they find out. She also sets clear boundaries and is fully in control.

- Meaningful Name : It's not stated but the character might be named for Henry Rollins and possibly "Ricky," the protagonist of Skid Row's "18 And Life," which plays on the film's soundtrack, or one of several rock'n'roll "Ricky"s, including Ricky Nelson or "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" by Steely Dan.
- Those Two Guys : Rarely seen without Leo near him.

- Absurdly Youthful Mother : Downplayed. Denise Richards is old enough to be Andy Biersack's mother, but she doesn't look old enough.
- Adapted Out : While she plays a secondary but important role in the film, as one of Johnny's moral compasses, Kat is absent from the series.
Gretchen

- The Ingenue : She practically glows.
- Morality Pet : For Johnny. She is the reason he decides to clean up and follow a sober path.
Vivian
- Ascended Extra : In the film, she's only known as "The Virgin," but has a substantial part in the series.
- Burger Fool : Works in a Subway-style fast food restaurant.
- Can't Get Away with Nuthin' : Had sex once, got pregnant with a rock star who wants nothing to do with her.
- Nature Abhors a Virgin : In the film, Vivian (only credited as "The Virgin") dreamed of losing her virginity to Johnny. Her mother (also not given a name in the film) manipulated their way onto the tour bus, and Johnny fulfilled the dream. It went about as well as you'd expect.
