- Even Evil Has Standards: Likes to brag about how he would never scavenge from the dead.
The Fox and the Crow

- Cunning Like a Fox: He tricks the crow into dropping her cheese by asking her to sing.
- Foul Fox: He steals the crow's cheese and deceives her.
The Crow
- Informed Flaw: The moral of her story is not to be vain, but she was actually singing on the fox's request and not out of vanity.
The Apes and the two Travellers
The Travellers
- Wrong Genre Savvy: The traveller who tells the truth thought that if he told the truth, he will be rewarded much more than the liar. Turns out, it ended up getting him executed.
The Apes
- Berserk Button: Apparently, calling them apes will get you clawed to death.
The Tortoise and the Hare
The Hare
- Epic Fail: He loses a race to a tortoise. Even better? He would have won by a long shot if he just kept going, instead of stopping to take a nap before the race was over. The only reason the tortoise was able to win was because of the hare's stupidity.
- Idiot Ball: His overconfidence in his superior speed causes him to fall asleep under a tree in the middle of their race instead of afterwards, believing this will change nothing. It doesn't go well for him.
- Smug Snake: His Fatal Flaw. His overconfidence costs him the race.
- Tempting Fate: He decides to take a nap under a tree before the race is over, arrogantly believing that the tortoise is too slow for this to affect anything. He learns how wrong he was when he wakes up.
The Tortoise
- Determinator: Despite the fact that he quickly got left behind in the race, he continues to go on. It paid off in the end.
The Frogs Who Desired a King
The Frogs
- Too Dumb to Live: They decide a stork will be their king, and he eats them.
The Stork
- God Save Us from the Queen!: Gender-Inverted— he is a male stork, who the frogs decide to make their King, but then he eats them.

- Too Dumb to Live: Despite initially being rational enough to conclude that if he stung the frog, the frog would be too weak to swim, leading to them both drowning, he stings him anyway because it's "in [his] nature".
