Awesome Music / Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Go To

With composition by Go Shiina, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has nothing short of an orchestral brilliance surrounding all key scenes.

  • Gurenge, the anime's first opening, is a sombre rock track sung by LiSA that represents a glimpse of the series' tone. Like or dislike the anime, you gotta admit, it's a pretty great opening track.
  • The ending theme, from the edge, is also sung by LiSA in collaboration with FictionJunction, producing a somber but at times hopeful melody that encompasses the situation the Kamado siblings find themselves in.
  • The triumphant tune of Zenitsu’s Thunder Clap and Flash moments is just astounding, perfectly portraying Zenitsu’s inner valor and immediate turn of fate against the foe.
  • The glory of Zenitsu’s ascension from briefly putting aside his inner doubts, during his trance, to give everything he had with his augmented Six-Fold, against the Brother Spider Demon is a bliss to hear.
  • Episode 19's climax has The Song of Kamado Tanjiro, a beautiful, grandiose orchestral song by Go Shiina, which helped cement the scene as one of the greatest Awesome Moments of the anime season.
  • The emotional ending song for Demon Slayer: The Movie - Mugen Train: Homura, another by LiSA, perfectly encompasses the influence that the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku had on Tanjiro.
  • Rengoku vs Akaza plays in the final fight between the two characters in the movie, a rocking song that fits the mood of the fight the whole way through. Points especially go to the triumphant part of the song that plays when Rengoku uses Ninth Form: Rengoku.
  • The opening for the anime's Red Light District Arc, Zankyousanka, really kicks it up with its flashy fast-paced music, capturing Uzui's own flashy personality and the power of the battle between the demon slayers against Daki and Gyutaro.
  • The opening for the Swordsmith Village arc, "Kizuna no Kiseki" by Man With a Mission with Milet, is a high energy banger of electronica/rock fusion and fits well with sequences of the smith's beating steel into blades along with snippets of combat.
  • The final fight between the Demon Slayers and the Upper Six duo, Daki and Gyutaro, has Tengen vs. Gyutaro as a Theme Music Power-Up as the Demon Slayers gain enough willpower to attempt a desperate successful Last Ditch Move in order to behead both of them at the same time.
