Season 1

Episode 2: The Organization for Monitoring Interstellar Kriminals

  • Manabu Sogetsu is a member of the MIK who storms UTS to apprehend Yudias for coming to Earth illegally. While he is initially hesitant to accept a challenge to a Rush Duel and just wants to do his job and leave, Yudias calls him out on his lack of Warrior's Pride in not doing so. So, Yudias and Manabu commence a Rush Duel with Yudias's freedom on the line. At one point, Yudias draws a Level 7 Monster for the first time, but he hesitates to Tribute Summon it even though not doing so would ensure his defeat because as someone who spent his entire young adulthood as a soldier in active combat he has PTSD and Survivor's Guilt about the idea of sacrificing comrades. However, Manabu instructs him to, rather than to think of it as the callous sacrifice of comrades by a commanding officer, to think of it as Yudias's comrades making the ultimate sacrifice of their own volition to ensure victory. So, Yudias tribute summons his ace monster "Galatica Oblivion" and wins the duel. If Manabu had kept his mouth shut he probably would've won the duel, but as a pre-teen secret agent he naturally understands Yudias's pain all too well.

Episode 3: Terror? The Blood-sucking Alien

  • Yuamu's debut duel reveals that she's the first female duelist to use a deck entirely consisting of dragons. The kicker? Her ace is Blue-Tooth Burst Dragon, a send-up to the original Blue-Eyes White Dragon!
    • Its attack is even called "Burst Streaming of Destruction" which is an obvious reference to the attack of Blue-Eyes White Dragon "Burst Stream of Destruction".

Episode 4: The Chupacabra's Trap

  • Yuhi ends up stumbling upon the alien who took the Earthdamar from him and that he has been searching all along. This happens completely by accident, and he has no assurance he might find them again if he lets the chance go. However, Yuhi is also pursuing Yudias' spaceship (with all his countrymen inside) that was taken and about to be thrown away. Faced with this decision, he has no doubt that the right thing to do is keep going after the spaceship, even if it might mean losing his only chance for payback. This directly sets up the awesome moment below.

Episode 5: I'm Kawai Tell, and I'm parched

  • Yuhi finally finds the alien, Kawai Tell, who stole his precious Earthdamar, and challenges him to a Rush Duel. If he wins, his Earthdamar will be returned, but if he loses he will be locked in a cell for the rest of his life and have horrible experiments conducted on him to learn more about the Earthdamar (It's revealed that the Earthdamar is one of Yuhi's internal organs that was physically ripped from his body and being without it causes him great psychological distress, so it's not as one-sided a wager as it would initially seem). However, Yuhi's duel disk is soaked because Tell is a Kappa who operates a dry cleaning business, so everything that comes into his shop ironically ends up soaking wet. Yudias's countrymen decide to repay the kindness Yuhi showed them in the previous episode — by making a fake spaceship that was swiped by Chuta that he was about to throw into the incinerator (moreso because Yuhi thought he destroyed the original one) — by morphing their ship into a Duel Disk for Yuhi to use so the duel can take place. However, because Yudias's crew is inexperienced with operating a duel disk from the inside, they're having trouble keeping up with the action, and Yuhi's trap card activation is not being registered at a critical moment. So, Yuhi chants the phrase "Vi Bal Du!" which in the Velgear language is a declaration of the highest loyalty and respect to a comrade to inspire them to finish the circuit— symbolized by them pushing a giant plug into a socket — so that Yuhi can activate his trap and win the duel.

Episode 9: Bochi of the Graveyard

  • Manabu taking advantage of Bochi's excessive use of the graveyard with Chemicalize Salamander's effect causing Bochi's monsters to lose ATK equal to the number of monsters in his graveyard x 100.

Episode 10: Magical Sheep-Girl Meeeg-Chan

  • Chupataro's ace monster (the titular Meeeg-chan) has been brought to life and mistakes Yudias for a soldier of the antagonists of her lore, the Black Hole Empire. At one point during the duel, Meeeg-Chan makes a giant ball of stuff from around the room and hurls it at Yudias's monster (as in actually tried to physically assault it not attack it within the rules of the game). The attack naturally goes right through it since it's a hologram and sends Yudias flying into the wall behind him. But despite the fact that he was visibly injured by it, Yudias insists on continuing the duel because even if his opponent breaks the rules by physically assaulting him, he will win by following the rules.

Episode 17: Information, De-Sky?

Episode 22: The Queen of Badloon Castle

  • One has to give Yuhi and Yuamu credit; despite their very different personalities, unlike the situations with Yugi and Kaiba, Judai and Edo, and Yuma and Kaito, where they had to take on an opponent and were hampered by a lack of teamwork owing to the latter of each pair not liking the former and refusing to cooperate, the Ohdo twins have none of that and play off each other quite well in their combos.
  • Conversely, the real praise has to be given to Rovian Kirishima. Quite a few examples with her...
    • She does what few duelists in the franchise, if ever, have done in Battle-Royale scenarios; take advantage of the specialized rules in how they impact her plays versus the norm. During her first turn, she hits the Ohdo twins with a hand-rip effect that actually deals them more damage than normal since they're sharing LP, and at the same amount as Rovian. Her winning move is likewise based on this; the equip spell note  she places on her ace monster, Bandijo of the Battle Ballad, increases its ATK based on the number of cards in all of the players' hands. As such, it gains more ATK than normal and wipes out the twins in a dual attack via the equip spell's other effect.
    • We also learn that she's the one who implemented the Duel Power system of the alien underground, giving them hope after the MIK basically imprisoned them, and now leads the Rovian Bandits ostensibly to continue that. It's also a bit heartwarming as well; even the crazed Psycho Lesbian that is Yuna Goha legitimately respects Rovian for this philosophy.

Episode 26: Fly! Rush Duel

  • The reveal of Mutsuba Town being located on top of a giant space ship and then flying off into space.

Episode 28: Fight! UTS Eight

  • There is something nice and impressive about how the older members of UTS made the effort to manually approximate Solid Vision with themselves and various materials for Yuhi in his duel against Asaka due to him lacking a duel disk at that time.

Episode 39: That Guy from the Future

  • Yudias performs his first Fusion Summon by fusing together his ace monster, Transamu Rainac, and Yuga's ace monster, Sevens Road Magician, into Transamuroad Rainac.
  • A villainous one for Zwijo. While he is forced to leave due to not being able to withstand the burst of negative energy, he succeeds in all his goals including obtaining Equip Spells from the Rovian Bandits, stealing the Fusion Spell from Nyandestar, and finally being the first villain to successfully use a Humanoid Abomination for his plans by manipulating The☆Luge and stealing one of the pages of his Mr. Universe manuscript to further his goals.

Episode 42: Shewbahha the Courier

  • Shewbahha manages to reach 11100 ATK (which at the time was a record for the Rush Duel anime screentime) with Buster Blader on top of granting it protection against destruction by card effects in a format where at the time even 4000 ATK was difficult to deal with for many decks due to Yuhi accidentally using his original Dragon deck that he swapped with Yuamu with Yuhi amazingly still managing to overcome that despite the disadvantage.

Episode 50: Battleship Rush Duel!

  • Yuga summoning Sevensgias, Prima Guitarna, and Yameruler in one turn in his Battleship Rush Duel against Damamu, complete with The☆Luge, Rovian, and Manabu performing the summon chants for their respective SEVENS counterparts' aces.

Episode 51: Carthumata

  • Yudias fusing Galactica Oblivion with two of his secondary aces, who are piloted by Yuhi and Yuamu respectively, to summon the first-ever Triple Fusion in Rush Duels. Then proceeds to give it a massive ATK boost fueled by all of the extended cast's aces in his graveyard. Zwijo was quite literally defeated by the friends Yudias made along the way.

Season 2

Episode 55: Alien School #8

  • Asaka equipped Demolition Shutter Demolition Charge Dragon Dangerous Blasthamut so it can't be destroyed by battle but then Yuamu gets around this with a combination of her monster's effects. She fusion summoned Blue Tooth Enhanced Burst Dragon just to lower its ATK to 1500 before sending that newly fused monster to the graveyard to resummon Blue Tooth Burst Dragon to use the effect of destroying any monster with 1500 or less ATK to destroy Asaka's boss monster before finishing her off.

Episode 58: The Commander Exposed

  • Despite not having his own Maximum Monster, Zwijo manages to defeat Manabu by redirecting the attack of Blazebolt Chemistorm Fenghuang Volcalize Phoenix right back to its owner.

Episode 59: Phaser's Secret

  • Yudias uses the effect of Supreme Fullsteam Magnum Overlord [L] to send his own Maximum Monster back to his deck and draw three cards. However, instead of the usual formula of him regaining his entire set, he is only able to draw Supreme Fullsteam Magnum Overlord, but nonetheless manages to defeat Tremolo by using his opponent's Maximum Monster as a sacrifice to summon only that component and using it to attack directly. Making things even more awesome is the fact that this is the first time that a Maximum Monster is used individually instead of an entire set thus showcasing that there are more ways to use them aside from Maximum Summoning them.
  • The way Tremolo managed to safeguard his brother's secret by catching the fleeing Fisher Sukai skyfish between two cards he throws without anyone noticing also deserves a mention.

Episode 89: Two Galaxies

  • Yuga managed to escape being trapped in Kuaidul's Space-Time and was able to help Zwijo and Yudias from the outside by giving them hints.

Episode 98: Extinction

  • Knowing full well that his life force won't last any longer, Zwijo uses the last of it for one final duel against Yudias. What follows is one of the best duels we have witnessed as they fight with all they have not only using their strongest cards, but utilizing cards that the other has used creating a back and forth with neither Velgearian giving an inch to their comrade. The end of the duel happens when Yudias summons Galactica Oblivion and equipping it with Galactica Xiphos. Along with Galactica Dispersion which allows Oblivion to attack twice ensuring his victory, the first which destroys Voidvelgr Apocalypse. But when going for the second attack which would have been for the win, Zwijo activates Galaxy Cross, a card Yudias used earlier to destroy all face-up Spell Cards and allows Zwijo to Special Summon Voidvelgr Requiem, who gains an extra 1000 ATK for each spell card destroyed with Galaxy Cross which also forces every monster to attack, allowing Zwijo to finally defeat Yudias as Zwijo fades away.
  • Adding onto this, the final attack is played with the Season 2 theme, "Soul Galaxy". "Soul Galaxy" is an inspirational and motivational song about not being shy about showing how great you can become. While it also doubles as a tear jerker due to Zwijo disappearing, he showed Yudias in his final moments why he's the amazing Velgearian warrior Yudias admired.
  • And then when Zwijo goes for his final move, his legs give out as this is the moment where he starts to disappear. However, two of his comrades come to his aid, Mitsuko and the still fading Dinowa. They lift him up and all say Requiem's summoning chant. Muda's spirit even gets shown during the chant.
"But this is not a Mass for the Dead!"
