Heartwarming / Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!

Go To

  • Episode 4 has all of Yudias' people cheering Yuhi on after he saves them from being thrown into a trash compactor. This continues in the episode after that when Yudias' spaceship turns into a duel disk for Yuhi to use and are empowered to complete the transformation — which is shown as thousands of citizens pushing a giant plug into a socket — as they are inspired by him to give it their all.
  • Speaking of, Episode 4 plays for laughs Yudias' inability to understand Chupataro's real intention and mistaking them for proof of camaraderie. Come Episode 27, however, and the fact that Yudias kept considering him a friend and was concerned for the effects of the Earthdamar on his body ends up inspiring Chupataro to switch sides.
  • Episode 8 has Yuamu dueling her old friend Manya Atachi who has decided to come back to her hometown for a dueling show and has shown that the celebrity life has changed her. However, it turns out that haughty act was just an act; Yuamu knew from the beginning that her friend was just playing along and when the duel is over, Manya shows that she's really a nice girl the entire time.
  • Bochi and Manabu's duel in Episode 9 ends with Manabu's victory... which actually causes Bochi to burst into tears over how proud he's become of his old friend for getting stronger. Even though he and Manabu's friendship started as part of Bochi's plot to defeat the Sougetsu style, it turns out Bochi really did bond with the him and came to see him as a friend, and the two old pals let bygones be bygones before shaking hands over a good match.
  • The☆Luge is towards the end of Episode 39 ultimately comforted by the thought that his manga did technically manage to make someone smile despite how horribly boring it is.
  • Yuhi unknowingly giving Shewbahha who had resigned himself to death due to a lack of available food sources the will to keep going on and continue looking in Episode 42 is this especially since he later makes a reappearance and comes to an agreement with Phaser that keeps his situation stable.
  • Episode 51 has Zuwijo finally reconciling with Yudias after Yudias beat him during their second duel.
  • Speaking of it, the double duel Zwijo/Yudias and Damamu/Yuga is done across spaceships, with monster being materialized. This materializations needs people to fly small spaceships to manifest those cards. This is the perfect set-up for cool moments, as all recurring characters get to take off and manifest their ace monsters, but one that takes the cake and doubles as heartwarming is when The☆Luge, Manabu and Rovian manifest Dragias, Yameruler and Prima Guitarna. Yuga might be trapped in the past, but he hasn't forgotten Luke, Gakuto and Romin, and they are still ready to help him.
  • The beginning of Episode 52 shows Yudias achieving the goal for which he went to Earth after two years: bringing peace to the Velgear Star Cluster using Rush Duels. This marks the end of the ultimately meaningless war and allows the Kartumata to all come to a mutual understanding going beyond their roles as living pieces in a game.
  • Manabu being willing to accept and treat Maguto as an older brother is this considering how bizarre the situation is, how their first meeting went and how his relationship with his family is otherwise strained.
  • In Episode 90 Yudias was willing to offer his body to save Kuaidul's life while calling Kuaidul a comrade despite everything he has done while also saying that he never thought of his body that was given to him as solely his own. Kuaidul himself is visibly touched even if he doesn't say it and it's ultimately futile and too late for him.
  • Episode 98: When Mitsuko decides to join Zwijo in his last moments, she also picks up the dying Dinois so that the two of them can help Zwijo make his last move to win his last Rush Duel against Yudias.
  • Episode 102: After their duel which they found no result as Monster Reborn cannot be used to help revive the Velgearians and the card itself is too dangerous to be used, they finally find the answer they were dueling for, a way to send Yuga back to his own timeline. As Yuamu prepares Yuga in the shuttle, Yudias and Yuhi try to open up the hatch to release the shuttle. When they have trouble opening the hatch, the The☆Luge, Manabu, Rovian, London, Asaka, and Zaion all come to help out, all of them of course representing their future expies. Even if they aren't the same people as their descendants, Yuga's friends will always have his back. And its not only just them, before sending him out, Yuamu says goodbye to her descendant like a mother, reassuring him he will never have to shoulder his burden alone ever again.
