  • Episode 1x08, "The Search For Something More"
    • Lucas beating the crap out of Gabe after he drugged Peyton with a roofie and attempted to assault her.
  • Episode 2X12, "Between Order and Randomness"
    • Brooke and the employees at Carl's Crab Shack teaming up to get the owner to star giving them proper benefits and stop mistreating them by threatening to tell people that his crabs are frozen.
  • Episode 3x09, "How a Resurrection Really Feels"
    • Nathan and Chris Keller punching out some thugs and escaping with the poker money from a riverboat.
  • Episode 3x16, "With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept"
    • Nathan and Lucas charging into the school to try and find Haley and Peyton. Also a Heartwarming Moment.
    • Brooke gets one in the same episode when she tells off the news reporter who is being insensitive in her reporting of the shooting, telling her that the reporter "should be ashamed of [her]self." While it's acknowledged that Brooke is exactly the kind of popular person who knows nothing about the less-popular members of her class, she still gets points for it because she is not having it. All of the people who actually care about her are inside of that school and they might be dead, and she is not going to let some smarmy reporter sensationalize the situation if she has any say in it.
  • Episode 3x20, "Everyday Is A Sunday Evening"
    • Nathan making a free throw without even looking, showing up Damien West. There's a reason this would go on to be in the opening titles from the following season, and again when the opening titles were brought back in Season 8 . And be used as the "High School!Nathan" shot during the final scenes of the series.
  • Episode 4x05, "I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness"
    • Lucas and Derek both protecting Peyton from Psycho-Derek, culminating in both of them charging him and sending him out the window.
  • Episode 4x09, "Some Give You Away"
    • Nathan, Lucas and Skills leading the Tree Hill Ravens to their first State Championship in the history of the team. Bonus points for being Whitey's last game as Coach, and the last game of basketball Lucas will ever play due to his HCM.
  • Episode 4x16, "You Call It Madness, But I Call It Love"
    • Brooke and Peyton both teaming up to beat the crap out of Psycho!Derek after he kidnapped Peyton.
  • Episode 4x18, "The Runaway Found"
    • Abby Brown's bravery when Dan confronts her about her witnessing Keith's murder. She knows he could kill both her and her mother, and she's clearly terrified, but she tells him she hopes he burns in hell. That takes guts.
  • Episode 4x21, "All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone"
    • Mouth punching out the guy harrassing Shelley. It's even better when you realise that he's the ex-boyfriend whose treatment of Shelley prompted her to create Clean Teens previously mentioned in "Pictures of You."
Jerk: I was gonna take it easy—
[Mouth floors the guy with one punch]
    Mouth: Yeah, me too.
    • Later, he jumps off the roof, marches straight towards Brooke, and kisses her because he's "always wanted to do that" and walks away.
    • The look on her face REALLY sells it. Far from being offended that someone kissed her against her will, she’s IMPRESSED! Even Brooke’s boyfriend gives him props.
  • Episode 5x6, "Don't Dream It's Over"
  • Episode 5x7, "In Da Club"
    • Quentin punching out Mia's ex-bandmate Jason.
  • Episode 5x10, "Running to Stand Still"
    • Owen beating the crap out of a drug dealer trying to harass Rachel for money.
  • Episode 5x11, "You're Gonna Need Someone On Your Side"
    • Brooke finally standing up to Victoria and firing her from Clothes Over Bro's.
  • Episode 5x12, "Hundred"
    • Dan rescuing Jamie from Nanny Carrie after she kidnaps him at Lucas and Lindsey's wedding, giving her one hell of a pants-wetting threat in the process.
Dan: My name is Dan Scott, I think you know my grandson. It’s okay, you can blink once for yes. That’s what I thought. Well, you’re done knowing him for the rest of time. And if you forget, or if you decide to go anywhere near my family again, let’s just say this - I killed my brother in cold blood, I’d have no trouble killing you.
  • Episode 6x05, "You've Dug Your Own Grave, Now Lie In It"
    • Deb taking out Carrie as she chases Haley and Jamie out of a cornfield; swiftly followed by Dan shooting Carrie as she gets up with an axe in hand, unbeknownst to Haley and Deb.
Deb: I guess there's a new crazy nanny in this town, bitch.
  • Episode 6x13, "Things A Mama Don't Know"
    • Brooke beating up Xavier and rescuing Sam after he attacked her at the Clothes Over Bros. store.
  • Episode 6x19, "Letting Go"
    • Rimkus being called out her incompetence as a teacher by Jack and Sam.
Rimkus: Congratulations. You've set a new record for failing.
Jack: We didn't fail, you failed. Bring back Mrs Scott.
Rimkus: You. Detention in my office.
Jack: Here's how little you know - I'm not even in this class. You shouldn't be either.
[Jack gets up and leaves the class]
    Rimkus: Anyone else?
Sam: He's got a point. Maybe we wouldn't be failing if you hadn't fired our teacher.
Rimkus: Watch it, or you'll be joining your friend, Mr No-Name.
Sam: All I'm saying is, that either we all got instantly dumber, or you should've been a little bit smarter. I'll see myself out.
    • Haley's English class walking out of school, and heading to the Scott house to get Haley to teach them, since Rimkus is a crappy teacher and they aren't learning anything from her.
  • Episode 7x07, "I And Love And You" has Dan using a lie detector test to prove that Nathan didn't cheat on Haley and get Renee pregnant.
    • To elaborate on this, He invites Renee onto his show on a live segment where he hooks her up to the lie detector and asks a series of question that are all stated to true: including her sleeping with Nathan. He then has it hooked to him and gives a series of Blatant Lies that the machine states is also true revealing it to be fake. Dan shows a close-up recording of Renee's reactions, and using basic knowledge of reading facial ticks, points out the woman's shock when her statement of sleeping with Nate was marked as true. Dan gets Renee to admit that while she did have sex the night of the party as she claims, it wasn't with Nathan and has been lying about the affair this whole time.
  • Episode 8x01, "Asleep At Heaven's Gate"
    • While they didn't have much of an active role in it, there's still something impressive about the fact that Clay and Quinn were lying on the floor bleeding out for twelve hours, and not only did they survive, they made full recoveries.
  • Episode 8x11, "Darkness On The Edge Of Town"
    • The entire Quinn/Katie fight, full stop. Especially when Quinn shoots Katie in exactly the same spot where she shot her and Clay.
    • Brooke ordering Julian to save Jamie first, since given the situation and the way she was trapped, she had to know that there was a very good chance that she would drown if Jamie was rescued first. She does it anyway and does drown, though Julian saves her with CPR.
    • Julian immediately jumping off a bridge into a river to save Brooke when the car she's in goes into the water, and then putting all of his strength into saving her and Jamie.
  • Episode 8x20, "The Man Who Sailed Around The World"
    • Clay, Julian and Nathan confronting Ian Kellerman after they find out that he was the one driving the car that ran Brooke and Jamie off the side of the bridge before leaving them for dead during the storm. Especially when it's Clay, not Julian or Nathan, who winds up losing his cool and attacking him.
  • Episode 9x03, "Love The Way You Lie"
    • Haley stands up for Dan. Yes, you read that right.
  • Episode 9x06, "Catastrophe And The Cure"
    • Dan effortlessly destroying the motive the Tree Hill police had for him being the one to kidnap Nathan.
    • Jamie standing up to Dan and demanding to know what he's done with his father. Remember that Jamie's only around 9 years old.
  • Episode 9x07 "Last Known Surroundings"
    • Nathan strangling Dimitri and freeing himself.
  • Episode 9x08, "A Rush Of Blood To The Head"
    • Chase beating the crap out of Chuck's abusive father.
  • Episode 9x10, "Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will"
    • Dan's rescue of Nathan, culminating in Dan taking a bullet to protect his son.
      • Nathan gets a minor one, as when Dan realises that he's out of shotgun shells and switches to his sidearm, Nathan picks the shotgun up again. When Dan tells Nathan to leave it since he's out of ammo for it, Nathan points out that the kidnappers don't know that.
    • Julian playing the role of Big Damn Hero by hitting the shady cop over the head whilst he has a gun a pointed at Nathan. Especially considering Dan had specifically told him to leave, so that there would be no risk of Brooke having to raise Jude and Davis on her own.
    • Tara gets her own Big Damn Heroes moment when she tases Xavier to save Brooke.
  • Episode 9x13, "One Tree Hill"
    • After a smarmy record exec smugly tells Chris Keller that her label isn't interested in signing any acts that sing about breakfast foods, just rock acts, Chris simply tells the house band to play "Blues riff, F-sharp minor" and promptly rocks Tric with a performance of "Loaded Gun".
Chris: Chris Keller says - You're welcome.
      • The absolute finest moment, however, comes when the same exec tries to butter Chris up, and he tells her where to go.
    • In the final Time Skip, we see that Jamie has followed in the footsteps of Nathan, Lucas, Dan and Keith as being a Tree Hill Raven. And has broken Nathan's scoring record and had his number retired, whilst still being a member of the team.
