  • When Mike orders Spike to injure Junior, Kevin is furious and physically warns Mike it better not happen again.
Kevin: Hammersmith? If that kid of yours pulls another stunt like that, you're both out of here.
Mike: Hey, come on! I thought you wanted to win!
    Kevin: Not like that.
  • For one critical play, the group decides to pitch to Johnny, who protests loudly. But when he gets thrown the ball, he gets pointed to what Becky and Danny noticed that he hasn't yet.
    Johnny: Now what?
    Becky: Just run to him!
Johnny looks down the field and sees his dad at the end zone, back from his business trip.
    Johnny: Dad? (Beat) Dad!
Cue Johnny dodging the entire Cowboys defensive line to run the touchdown and hug his dad
  • With the final play of the game and the Cowboys on their final down and yards to the goal, Patty tips Danny off to what Kevin's going to do by reminding him of one of Kevin's proudest moments when he scored the game-winning touchdown in a similar situation. Danny calls time-out and fills the team in; as the Cowboys prepare to hike, the Giants stand and move over at once to cover the side Spike is going to come down. Kevin has a sudden Oh, Crap! when he realizes "they know the play!" Spike is subsquently brought down with several Giants dragging him to the dirt, failing to cross the line and the Giants get the turnover on downs.
  • The final play — with four seconds left, the Giants fumblerooski to trick the Cowboys and then begin running, passing the ball between each other to run the entire length of the field and win the game.
  • The film's final Brick Joke. It opened In Medias Res to Kevin and Danny's childhood, and Kevin gave a Badass Boast that one day their names would be on the town watertower, "The O'Shea Brothers". In the modern day, only Kevin's name is up there. At the end of the film, Kevin tries to talk his way out of giving up his car dealership to Danny, offering him anything he wants. Danny replies "there is one thing". Cue the film ending on a shot of the water tower, now reading "The O'Shea Brothers".
