So. Metal.

  • When the Mission in the Quarantine Zone goes awry, Quill has to pull off some swift aerial maneuvering in the Milano through a rapidly-collapsing derelict Warzone, avoiding flying rubble, ship parts and Nano-foam clusters to reach the exit before their window of opportunity to escape closes, all whilst backed up by his patented rock soundtrack.
    • Speaking of the Milano, going up against Captain Glory and his Lethal Legion if you hid Rocket’s tech back in Chapter 2. Watching the smug look on his face dissolve as he realizes your ship’s weapons aren’t as outdated as he thought, coupled with the Mook Horror Show that follows is totally worth the extra thousand units on your fine.
  • Any time Peter unlocks a new element for his blasters is a mix of awesome and heartwarming, as he uses his new abilities to save the rest of the team.
  • No matter which path is chosen, the Guardians manage to defeat the Dweller in Darkness by cutting each of its tentacles off before dealing the finishing blow.
  • Quill finally taking charge and standing up to Rocket at his refusal to save the converted Drax. Rocket is impressed at him finally showing some gnords and immediately throws his lot in without further complaint.
  • Mantis quickly trouncing the converted Drax, dodging his swipes, disarming him with her own praying-mantis-like blades, and pacifying him by hitting a pressure point on his torso multiple times—all in about 20 seconds after she drops in.
  • Rocket conquering his trauma of water and fears of drowning to destroy the source of the illusionary mist-copies of the Guardians when the endless battling against them results in Groot and Gamora becoming ensnared by the mystical mist once their strength is sapped.
  • The Guardians manage to take out Fin Fang Foom in a straight fight using nothing but their skills and using the environment against him. Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu? indeed.
  • During the final chapter, Star-Lord no longer needs to order the other Guardians to help progress through the level, as they'll all do it automatically, showing how far the Guardians have come since the beginning.
  • Pictured: During the climatic battle against the Church, Lady Hellbender flies in atop Fin Fang Foom to smash a ship ready to blast the Guardians when they're cornered in a dead end, before revealing she picked up Quill's cassette tape that was used as a distraction for the Guardians to sneak in closer and tosses it to him. Quill runs in slow-mo to leap and grab the tape, and if the player succeeds with the button prompt, they get an awesome wallpaper shot of Quill triumphantly posing mid-air with Foom blowing up spaceships behind him. Gamora and Quill even comment afterwards on how awesome it was.
    • During that same fight, if you made the right choices, Cosmo takes Knowhere into battle, firing death beams out of the Celestial skull's eyes! Afterward, Worldmind comes back to join the fray and take the battle to the Church.
  • What plays during the final boss against Magus? "The Final Countdown," of course.
  • Nikki gets one during the epilogue, when she shows up to her mother’s memorial service proudly displaying her flaming hair and tells the Kree Accusers where they can stick their hammers.
