Episode Two
- Mickey Sykes manages to hide his knife and saw his way through his leather restraints before managing to rescue everyone else.
- Judith shows herself to be far from useless as she throws a broken crutch down the hall after everyone fails their stealth checks and distracts the lunatics running the asylum long enough for them to find their quarry in Norris.
- The player characters form themselves in a Eldritch Location that is a bookstore transformed into a primeval forest with two-dimensional animals about to kill them as well as an enormous evil tree. Neil, of all people, saves the group by pulling out the tree's heart out and breaking the spell. Doubly impressive because Mickey and Hazel, the most competent members of the team, were already disabled.
- Judith pulls Hazel away from a bunch of two-dimensional (literally) killer animals.
Episode Two and a Half
- The player characters manage to track down the second book very easily to another bookshop and are almost immediately transported to a fairy tale portion of Carcoa. They manage to handle their second inter-dimensional excursion pretty well, all things considered.
- Hazel recites the story of how she was a lesbian in 1920s America and fell in love with a girl named Elizabeth. After Elizabeth goes insane, Hazel devotes herself to the occult and psychology to try to find a cure.
- Mickey Sykes is willing to give up his only good memory of his mother (her singing) in hopes of sparing everyone else of having to sacrifice something.
- Neil, having seen how devastating the giving away everyone else's actions has been and suspecting the final test will result in their death, voluntarily does a Heroic Sacrifice. He is then killed by The Hecate Sisters.
Episode Three
- Mickey and Hazel manage to take down the mad scientist, Tristan Gottard, by use of old fashioned firepower. It turns out a zombie Mad Scientist will go down if you shoot it enough times with a rifle and pistol.
- Mickey Sykes destroys the Blood Magic monster by stabbing it with the Bone Knife.
