Robert McNair Wilson (22 May 1882 – 29 November 1963) was a Scottish author and journalist. He wrote an amazing number of books: medical textbooks, biographies, and historical fiction under his own name; murder mysteries (mainly of the Locked Room Mystery variety), a radio play, and non-fiction under the pseudonym Anthony Wynne; and another novel under the pseudonym Harry Colindale.

When not writing, he was a surgeon at Glasgow Western Infirmary. He was The Times' Medical Correspondent from 1914–1942. He also found the time to stand (unsuccessfully) for the Labour Party twice, in the general elections of 1922 and 1923.

His works have been largely forgotten and are almost all out of print. The notable exception is Murder of a Lady, which was reprinted in 2015 (for the first time since its original publication in 1931) as part of the British Library Crime Classics series.
