Part One: The Phantom Pooh

Hello. Psyga315 here again. I love crossovers, how two different shows can go and interact with each other. That is why I prefer Kamen Rider Decade as my favorite Kamen Rider show. Why am I bringing this up? Because for this Liveblog, I will be tackling a not so well executed Crossover Video. Yes, a Crossover in video format. It is more of a genre really. Pooh’s Adventures. What is it about? Well, it is Pooh and his friends in different movies, assisting the protagonists of those movies with whatever they need to accomplish. Now you find yourself asking, “That sounds interesting, how can anyone screw this up?” I will answer with this: very easily.

For this Liveblog, we will look at Pooh's Adventures of Double Double Toil and Trouble. Some people might recognize that title as the movie starring the Olsen Twins. Now, someone would ask why I would pick a random one. Well, it is simple. It is the first one I watched. I was watching part five and the way I saw it, I thought I was watching Hocus Pocus and Bowser was going to pwn everyone at the ball (instead of that witch going all “I put a spell on you and now your mine!”) but no, as we will see later on *

. It’s worth noting that this has a Canonful of backstory. I am not kidding. Prepare yourself, from where we are jumping into; Pooh had gained many allies and many foes. Again, it sounds interesting, but as you will see, it is not.

Without further ado, it is time to tear into this video.

Part One of Eight

We start off with the NEW Disney Logo. Then the Disney Animation Studios logo. Then the WB logo. Then the user’s (BowserMovies1989's) logo, called 20th Century Koopa Studios (SUBTLE!) and we have our Quirky Miniboss Squad for this video: Bowser Koopa, Baby Bowser, Mistress 9, and Ranamon. An odd choice of characters but I will buy it. Moreover, I could have sworn that was the JOKER! sound deepened. Alternatively, it could be Bowser saying “SHOWTIME!” Then we have the Winnie The Pooh logo. With the subtitle being Spookable Fun! Yeah, we will see about that. Then we have the theme song from The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the nostalgic theme. Wait, was that Ash? Er... okay... Let’s enjoy the rest of the opening... Okay, now there’s the Quirky Miniboss Squad I mentioned before. Then these two guys. The Magician and Samhaeim. I had no idea who they were until today. Then... MEWTWO AND MEW? SLIMER? C3-P0 and R2-D2? STAYPUFF? AISLING? (Whom I did not know until now) THE GOOD FAIRY? (Wait, who?) ZILLA JR? DARTH VADER AND BOBA FETT? SIGN ME UP! THIS IS GOING TO ROCK! Wait... I already saw this... Wow, talk about disappointment.

Now, I will not be digging into the movie Pooh is crossing over into because I am reviewing Pooh’s Adventures, not Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen’s Adventures. Besides, my work will be cut out for me that way. You will see why. The kids are gathered into a tent to see Oscar the Clown, with a guest appearance by the Ghostbusters. Oscar introduces himself and Staypuff introduces the Ghostbusters. Now, if I was a kid, I’d pay more attention to the giant marshmellow man than the clown, but hey, what can you do? The Good Fairy asks the kids if they knew how Halloween began (look lady, there’s a kind old man in a haunted house with a giant pumpkin tree that will gladly show you how it began). Then Misty of all people introduces Egon, who tells them the origins. Apparently, Druids started it. Meh, if I wanted to know the true story of Halloween, I would watch The Halloween Tree. Then a musical..., which I am skipping. Now there is usually a problem with video crossovers (Pooh's Adventures is not the only one to do this), it has people jumping from place to place. The Ghostbusters are apparently in a school when they should be in the tent. I will not pick at those kinds of flaws because I would assume the author would tell us to use our imaginations, which is kind of what I do when I read stories.

Anyways, Oscar judges the winners, who happen to be twins. Guess who they are. Yep, it is Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. They are going to their aunt’s to get a loan and Vader, Mewtwo and Ash get interested in following. On the Ecto-1, which is known to make a siren sound when used. Which the people do not notice. You see a problem so far? First off, is the Ecto-1 a clown car? Because if it could fit all those people, then I would be pleased to know how that is possible. Second, how can the people driving not notice a blaring siren? Third, where the hell is Pooh? This is Pooh's Adventures of Double Double Toil and Trouble, not The Real Ghostbusters Take on a Witch. The Ecto-1 stops next to the car (they do not show it in the video, but I will assume that is what happened) and Egon reads from his PKE reader that there are multiple entities in the house and that would be more dangerous than it looks. Pooh (finally) gets the wonderful idea to protect the Olsen Twins. Tigger says “Yeah! Let’s-” No, he is not Killed Mid-Sentence. See, the way these people talk is that the audio is muted and subtitles are put in their place. When they are saying something that is according to the script, the audio is kept until something is changed, so Tigger says, “Yeah! Let’s do it!” So yea, the twins get out and the group of I believe fifteen or so people follow them. And the twins don’t notice them. At all. The pair come across a grave digger, then a dog comes up to him, then Slimer, fooling the audience into thinking that it’s Slimer who scared the digger, not the dog. Then the digger freaks out over the twins, “YOU’RE IN TWO PLACES AT THE SAME TIME! AHH!” And this gives me a wonderful idea for what the twins should have been as. Mion and Shion Sonozaki. Or at least Creepy Twins. Imagine the Nightmare Fuel!

And so ends our first part. Will our heroes protect the twins from whatever threat looms? Find out next time!

...

I can't believe this actually exists. As overused as it is, bad fanfic is an accurate summation.

I'll assume it's directed at Bowser.
