Rename Nice Guys Finish Last to Nice Guy Syndrome?

The reason given is that the name does not seem to actually be consistent with what the trope describes, i.e. the trope talks about a guy who thinks that he is a nice man and that he cannot get a date because all women are dumb and do not want to date a nice guy. However, the trope title would seem to indicate that it is about a Dogged Nice Guy or a guy who actually is nice rather than one who just thinks he is nice.
