* AudienceAlienatingPremise: A light hearted comedy film based off a real life tragedy isn't exactly the most comfortable one to sit through.

** Which animated ''Titanic''-movie is worse? This one or [[WesternAnimation/TheLegendOfTheTitanic the other?]] On this movie's angle, the ones who argue it's the worse of the two will cite its NoBudget animation quality, the gigantic ClicheStorm, a much heavier presence of corny dialogue, and of course, the rapping dog.

* JustHereForGodzilla: Pretty much the only reason why viewers watch this film are due to the rapping dog and the reviews by The Nostalgia Critic and [=JonTron=].

* NightmareFuel: A psychologically frightening example: As WebVideo/MusicalHell points out in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lya34f60aCs her review]] of the movie, one of the passengers in the boarding montage sequence looks like UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler. Let that sink in for a moment. Adolf Hitler...on the Titanic.
** Of course, this loses its NightmareFuel factor and becomes AnachronismStew once you consider that Hitler wasn't placed in a position of power until 1933, ''a good twenty years after'' the sinking of the Titanic. In 1912, Hitler would have been selling paintings in Vienna. So once again this movie is completely oblivious to historical accuracy. Still frightening to viewers who don't know this information, though.

* TearJerker: Oddly enough, the uncut version does have one attempted emotional moment that almost works, when Winnie (the GoldDigger) and [=McTweed=] (the banker) come clean about their respective lies as the ship is going down and resolve to [[TogetherInDeath stay together rather than escape on the lifeboats]], deciding that though they have nothing of monetary value, they at least have each other.

* HilariousInHindsight: ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'' 's TV Funhouse segment had their own wacky animated version of Titanic called ''Titey'' which of course is also a musical and rather Disney-like. Their ship was sentient as was the iceberg that sank it. And they both get into a swordfight too.

* DesignatedHero: Angelica doesn't rescue a man because he's not William.

** It's made the top of several "worst movies ever" lists. Whether it's so soul-tainting bad that you can't bear it or whether it's so soul-taintingly bad [[SnarkBait it's a joy to mock]] is a matter of personal opinion.

* ILikedItBetterWhenItSucked: More people are familiar with the ReCut version of the movie, which features the infamous "Party Time" rap song. The original uncut version had a different rap that, while still bad, is far less overblown and out-of-nowhere than "Party Time"; while it still feels out of place, the lyrics are hardly even intelligible and the pace and energy of the song matches the tone of the rest of the movie a bit better (and there is an actual segue into the song, as opposed to just having a dog show up out of nowhere and immediately start rapping). Even though the uncut version came first, more contemporary viewers were introduced to the ReCut that had a completely different score and far more people will point to "Party Time" as the movie's SignatureScene as it hits SoBadItsGood territory, where the original rap is relatively unknown.

* {{Narm}}: All over the place.

* WhatDoYouMeanItWasntMadeOnDrugs: The idea that a scene involving '''a rapping dog on the ''Titanic''''' could've been conceived by sober minds is a bit frightening.

* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: One of the mouse family is rescued by a dog, who then suddenly starts rapping for no apparent reason. Perhaps the most inexplicable scene in a film full of them, it's never mentioned again afterward, except when the chihuahua mentions being hit with a "food item."

* HilariousInHindsight:

** This movie did "IT'S A FAAAAAAAAAKE!" several years before ''Series/StarTrekDeepSpaceNine'' did it.

* TheyCopiedItSoItSucks: Most of the characters are just blatant [[CaptainErsatz clones]] of popular Creator/{{Disney}} and Creator/DonBluth characters (most noticeably [[Disney/{{Cinderella}} Lady Tremaine]], WesternAnimation/{{Anastasia}}, [[WesternAnimation/AnAmericanTail the Mousekewitz family]], [[Disney/OneHundredAndOneDalmatians Pongo, and Perdita]]).

* BrokenBase: Which version is more laughably enjoyable to watch, the uncut or recut version? The recut has "Party Time" going for it, but the editing sometimes makes it a lot harder to follow (see SpecialEffectsFailure). It also doesn't have any of the repeating dialogue issues which removes some of the {{Narm}}. Of course, both are hilariously enjoyable to watch to most people anyway, but which one hits the SoBadItsGood territory better is a subject for debate.

** Gaston. He's a bit slimy and dumb, but there's the fact that he's treated like a jewel thief when the worst he did was pick Angelica's locket up off of the ground and give it to a girl he was wooing. He never actually stole anything. Then again, the fact he didn't take the necklace to the Lost and Found section might make some people consider him just as bad as a thief.
