* SoBadItsHorrible: To some, the {{narm}} and cheesiness aren't enough to save this terrible movie.

* EnsembleDarkhorse: The rapping dog (Fritz) is probably the biggest reason people even know about this movie, easily being the most (and quite possibly only) memorable thing in it.

Added DiffLines:

* OlderThanTheyThink: ''Far'' more people are aware of the ReCut than the original version of the movie, due to it being the one that WebVideo/TheNostalgiaCritic and WebVideo/JonTron reviewed. This is particularly evident with "Party Time" being the rap most people talk about, when the original uncut version had a completely different soundtrack with different songs.

Added DiffLines:

** In general, the ReCut version has ''horrible'' editing. The original version of the movie had a lot of {{Padding}} that the re-cut was nice enough to axe, but a lot of times they forgot to fix the pacing in the process. This leads to scenes that jump around all over the place, out-of-nowhere jump cuts, StockFootage being run in scenes that have nothing to do with anything (for instance, the rap randomly cuts to the kitchen scene in the middle of the song for no reason at all), and all sorts of other issues. It's pretty hard to tell if these cuts make the movie harder or easier to watch.

** It's really, really obvious that the infamous "PARTY TIME" sequence was added in later on. Not only is the animation of the dog dancing visibly different from the rest of the movie, but the first verse of the song is very clearly meant to be the dog talking normally (and he gains and loses his hat and shirt depending on the shot). There's also [[StockFootage about ten seconds worth of animation,]] repeated again and again over the course of about ninety.

Even if you're watching the original though, it's still obvious this is the case due to the AnimationBump.

Added DiffLines:

* ILikedItBetterWhenItSucked: Subverted. More people are familiar with the ReCut version of the movie, which features the infamous "Party Time" rap song. The original uncut version had a different rap that, while still bad, is far less overblown and out-of-nowhere than "Party Time", and while it still feels out of place, the lyrics are hardly even intelligible and the pace and energy of the song matches the tone of the rest of the movie a bit better (and there is an actual segue into the song, as opposed to just having a dog show up out of nowhere and immediately start rapping). A subversion because even though the uncut version obviously came first, more contemporary viewers were introduced to the ReCut that had a completely different score and far more people will point to "Party Time" as the movie's SignatureScene as it hits SoBadItsGood territory, where the original rap is relatively unknown.

* StrangledByTheRedString
** Our hero and heroine exchange three whole sentences before deciding they're meant to be.
** In the epilogue the wicked stepsisters/nieces (Gertrude's daughters) have married Kirk and Dirk. Not only did the pair have no relationship developed before this, but they never actually interacted at all.
