** Then there's [[spoiler: Advent]], whose appearance in the any of the final stages is usually synonymous with a massive nosedive in the writing, [[XanatosRoulette confusing and conflicting motivations]], committing an exhaustive list of [[CompleteMonster horrific atrocities]] and yet still getting to be on good terms with Hibiki in the end, and [[spoiler: the Supreme God Z]]'s design being unimpressive with only a single attack with proper animation.

** "[[JustForPun DAMONic]] [[FanNickname Spiders]]", as the case may be: "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsZ2 Dimensional Beasts]]" have high {{Hit Point}}s, barriers, can inflict StandardStatusEffects, good accuracy/evasion rates (and will only go higher due to their "[[CriticalStatusBuff Prevail]]" pilot skill[[note]]The lower the HP, the greater the increase to accuracy/evasion/critical/armor stats[[/note]]) and HP/EN regeneration. As one user on Website/SomethingAwful put it, "It's like someone decided [[Anime/MacrossPlus the Ghost X9]] should be [[UpToEleven more annoying]]".

* TheScrappy: "[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsZWalkingSpoilers The Four Angels]]", sans Sacrifi, are hated by a lot of players. Doctrine and Tempti have one-dimensional personalities and barely interesting plots that don't tie into the overall MythArc, and are also over-hyped as the ultimate villains for the ''Z'' series, only for them to have a lot of the VillainBall moments when they are hardly in the game.

It is still a powerful Super Robot all around, and ''much'' more powerful than its performance in ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsDestiny'' where its armor couldn't help against the overly high damage of the enemies there. Cue people worshipping Godmars as an unmoving God that can solve problems without even moving a limb or at best, just using miniscule animation.

** Scenario 57 in ''Jigoku-Hen'', [[MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack "BEYOND THE TIME"]], for the overall subversion of the ''Axis Shock'' event from the movie, Char Aznable and Full Frontal's characterizations, the revelations and conclusions, and the return of the titular soundtrack in all of its glory. Check ShockingMoments down below for more details.

** "Main Theme" for ''Dancougar Nova'' counts as this for those who were afraid they'd be stuck with the rather bad rendition of "Tori no Uta" the ''Z'' trilogy uses. Sadly, since this {{Leitmotif}} is technically meant for use by the Nova Eagle, it does not appear in ''Saisei-hen'' or ''Jigoku-hen'', since the Dancougar is acquired much earlier or is already combined.

* {{Narm}}: Take a look at the [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Sazabi's "All Range Attack"]] when it uses its [[LaserBlade beam sabers]]. It looks like a child throwing a temper tantrum at the robot.

** The ultimate attack from [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsZ The Edel Bernal]]]]: he creates a rip in the fabric of space-time, briefly showing off a rather ominous looking eye before a massive, rainbow-colored horde of evil...somethings...burst out in a massive stream, with the Chaos Lemures leading them like some demented band leader, and with the horde making a cacophony of creepy impish giggling. They swoop up, grab the hapless victim(s) and carry them into a dimension of pure rainbow insanity. They get swarmed by a mass of blobs, which is then assailed by "giant sperm", then eaten by a much larger one-eyed blob, colliding with MORE one-eyed blobs. The camera zooms out, until suddenly the mass is blasted by at least a dozen FrickinLaserBeams, until Chaos Lemures looms large and [[spoiler:the real Edel]] makes a rather wiggly SuperMovePortraitAttack, complete with a disturbing expression of pure elation. With a word of "Bye-Bye", he ends the madness by ramming a gigantic spear into the whole mess. Definitely a contender for creepiest attack in the franchise, tied with the BigBad in ''Alpha 3''.

** Back in the days, the players were completely unprepared in ''Z1'' that [[spoiler:there will be a scenario of ZEUTH vs ZEUTH, where the players get to fight the ''other half'' of the playable roster.]] "Holy Shit!" didn't even begin to describe what the players felt that time, since it was a first in SRW history (and for years to come, they never tried that again).

** The term "Char's Counterattack" has always been a bit of a misnomer in that [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack movie]], since [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam Char Aznable]] and the "[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Neo Zeon]]" are the aggressors. [[spoiler:The spin on this in ''Jigoku-hen'' makes this no longer a case]] (see HolyShitQuotient below).

* HolyShitQuotient
** A playable Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in ''Jigoku-hen'' already set the tone following its reveal in the promotional trailers, but to transform into the "[[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann]]"? '''WOW'''.
** The entire Axis ColonyDrop event in ''Jigoku-hen'': sure, multiple [=SRWs=] have used it before, but to see [[spoiler:Char reveal he's not the one dropping the asteroid, but rather use Axis to perform space-time recovery, ''lead'' all of Z-BLUE in stopping its descent, '''AND''' pull a XanatosGambit in case the drop does happen]]? All this is done as "[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Beyond the]] [[SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic Time]]" plays in the background.
** [[spoiler:Geminion Ray's "The Over Riser Arc" attack in ''Tengoku-hen''. How much? Oh, nothing short of ''splitting the Earth in half'']].

** The FinalBoss' [[https://youtu.be/5XlRSiaDEoQ attack]] in ''Tengoku-hen'': bombarding the enemy with horrific visions of universal death and destruction rivals that of [[spoiler:[[Characters/SuperRobotWarsAlpha3 Keisar Ephes]] and his "End of the Galaxy" attack]].

** Shikuu's "Assemblage of Corpses" {{Leitmotif}} would be scary if the distorted voice playing in the background didn't sound like someone burping.

** The PostFinalBoss in ''Jigoku-hen'' has half the {{Hit Point}}s of the [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Granzeboma]]. Justified since the scenario takes place in an epilogue, while the ''actual'' FinalBoss for the story's climax is [[spoiler:the Granzeboma]].

** Like the previous example, Anime/{{Godmars}} was a scrappy unit in ''Destiny'' due to the same bug and if it was destroyed, it was an instant game over. Although the same "game over" situation is in ''Hakai-hen'', Godmars is rendered as an ass-kicking tool of destruction that's nearly unstoppable. One fan on the Website/GameFAQs board described it as "two trucks duct-taped together with an atomic bomb", [[EarthShatteringKaboom which is an oddly accurate description of Godmars itself]]. It also helps that after the ''Godmars'' finale, the bomb is disposed of safely and there's now no game-ruining risk involved with using it.

** A deer appears during the [[SuperMovePortraitAttack pilot cut-in]] for Barbiel the Needle's strongest attack: while the imagery should be creepy, viewers state they recall [[Disney/{{Bambi}} mental images of another animated movie featuring a deer whose mother was killed by a hunter]].

* MostAnnoyingSound
** "[[Anime/EurekaSeven MOKYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!]]" from the [[Anime/EurekaSeven Nirvash Type-3]], because it says that ''every time it attacks''.
** "Main Theme" for ''Anime/DancougarNova'' is so over-the-top serious it quickly gets annoying, including the delayed yell in the Dancougar Nova's final attack, courtesy of [[Anime/DancougarNova Aoi Hidaka]] (more specifically, a young Aoi[[note]]In the show's FinalBattle against [[spoiler:the original {{Anime/Dancougar}}, when they use the "Dankuudangaiken", it shows a young Aoi. The other pilots helped her out of a HeroicBSOD where she was imagining herself when she was a little girl]][[/note]]).

* EarWorm: "GAN GAN LEON, GUNLEON! GAN GAN LEON, GUNLEON!"...and all the respective {{Ear Worm}}s of the various franchises, as usual.

* SpiritualAdaptation: The ''Z'' trilogy is one of the ''Franchise/MassEffect'' trilogy, if it took center stage for ''Super Robot Wars'' - the [[spoiler:Supreme God Sol/Z]] is a parallel to the [[EldritchAbomination Reapers]], an InUniverse force with NighInvulnerability [[spoiler:that has been wiping out civilizations for millions of years. Both entities feature a cycle of destruction and rebirth on a cosmic scale]]. The ability of [[spoiler:Advent]] to brainwash characters by being in close proximity to them is similar to Reaper "[[MoreThanMindControl Indoctrination]]" and [[spoiler:the fact that he pretends to be an ally of Z-BLUE and plans to use the Supreme God for his own agenda]] is a slight [[CounterpartComparison nod]] to "The Illusive Man".
