* FightSceneFailure: Many examples. Among them: when she pulls off her trademark Spinning Bird Kick to KO four mooks at once, her foot is at closest ''a full inch away'' from any of them.
* HamAndCheese: Michael Clarke Duncan is the film's one saving grace as the gleefully evil Balrog.

* IdiotPlot: For several plot points to take place, multiple characters would have to have either suffered brain damage or lost the use of at least one major body part.

* WTHCastingAgency:
** Kristen Kreuk is [[ButNotTooForeign half-Chinese, half-Dutch]], while her child-version is played by an apparently fully Asian girl.
** Neal [=McDonough=] is playing a "[[FatalFury Geese Howard]]" version of [[http://foywonder.com/current_columns/gfx/foy_0309_02.jpg Bison]]. The amazing thing is that [=McDonough=] really does resemble the character, and would have at least ''looked'' the part if he'd shaved off the beard and worn some pauldrons and shinguards.
** Also, we have Robin "[[Film/MortalKombat Liu Kang]]" Shou as Gen. You'd probably be half-expecting him to do a Bicycle Kick, but instead all he does is [[spoiler:[[TheWorfEffect get thrashed by Bison at every turn]].]]
** And Taboo from The {{Black Eyed Peas}} as Vega. Taboo isn't "ugly" per se, but when you're supposed to cast a pseudo-androgynously "beautiful" vainpot like Vega, he's not what springs to mind.
** The PeripheryDemographic of [[GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff Chinese Chun-Li fans]] probably had this reaction over veteran martial arts actress Cheng Peipei appearing... just to point Chun-Li towards Gen.
** Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li. Too short/petite, and definitely lacking the thighs for the role.

Thankfully, this one was broken before the movie even went into production, so fans had time to digest it. It's still an incredibly bizarre casting choice, but people don't pay it much mind because of that.

Yet, he did the best with what he got. And he didn't do a half-bad job. It wasn't RaulJulia, but him and Duncan really helped elevate the movie's overall quality.

** To further illustrate the point: The Street Fighter II animated movie has a long and arduous Chun Li vs. Vega fight. Though she defeats Vega, Li nearly dies and winds up swathed in bandages for the remainder of the film. In this film, "Chun Li" defeated Vega, supposedly the world's greatest assassin, with absurd ease.

** Neal [=McDonough=] [[http://foywonder.com/current_columns/gfx/foy_0309_02.jpg as Bison]]. Raul Julia suddenly doesn't look like an odd choice '''now''', does it?
*** Neal's pretty clearly playing [[FatalFury Geese Howard.]] Maybe they got the script mixed up during production; it'd be a reasonable assumption given the amount of effort shown in the rest of the film.
*** The amazing thing is that [=McDonough=] really does resemble the character, and would have at least ''looked'' the part if he'd shaved off the beard and worn some pauldrons and shinguards. This might be a textbook case of WTHCostumingDepartment.
