Even Keito's apparent MoralEventHorizon of tricking Meiko into thinking she'd burned alive a nest of baby crows, is almost identical to the time Mari made it look like her crows were eating Joe's ants in order to provoke a violent reaction from him. Hana is way too important in the story to be considered an Ensemble Darkhorse. Since they did recieve punishment the USC doesn\'t count as Karma Houdini. Also, I\'m pretty sure fandom\'s never really had a lot of hate from them even after their light punishment.

** The Funimation English Dub didn't help matters, due to forced in, dated pop culture references and removing dialogue that didn't need to be removed. The author's response to some criticism (See InternetBackdraft below for context) didn't help, and several fans cancelled their subscriptions over the dub.

* InternetBackdraft: There has been some backlash towards the writer of the English dub when his reaction towards the criticisms were to make inflammatory comments where he called the people complaining "rapists," and in one case when a writer for the website Tech Raptor mentioned how his Japanese girlfriend found the Westernization to be very cringe inducing, the Funimation writer insulted the man by suggesting his girlfriend is just a "body pillow." When the man's girlfriend called the Funimation writer out for this insult on Twitter, said writer only offered a rather backhanded apology.

** Even among anime fans, the Funimation dub has split the base between those who like it and those who think it Westernizes the show too much.
*** This lead to a massive Base Breaking when one line was changed to mention the infamous "Gamergate" controversy. There are many who think that this is proof positive that Funi can't write a series to save their own lives and there are some who think that these people are just overly sensitive.

* InternetBackdraft: Reactions to the English dub by Funimation have not gone over well. The attempts to Westernize some of the humor with dated pop culture references were seen as being too akin to ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' styled humor, and making a reference to the infamous "Gamergate" controversy also caused a huge stir among fans of the series who did not like that the writer choose to force in a reference to such an event.
