** Casey as well due to being a Deconstruction of RookieRedRanger, to the point where he's the only Disney Actor who was brought back for ''Super Megaforce''. His actor being JustForFun/OneOfUs helps, too. It should be noted that Jason Smith, Casey's actor, was also a writer for ''Super Megaforce'', so that could've been an additional reason.

** This season received a somewhat lukewarm response on initial airing. Nowadays (like ''[[Series/PowerRangersLightspeedRescue Lightspeed Rescue]]''), the season is seen as an underrated gem and one of the strongest of the Disney era for its likable team of Rangers and competent {{Wuxia}}-flavored storytelling alongside a very well thought out theme of self improvement. Linkara's [[WebVideo/HistoryOfPowerRangers review]] probably helped it a bit in addition to ''Gekiranger'' becoming a fan favourite season as the years went on.

Even its villains are strong character-wise with Jarrod/Dai Shi's unique take on a villain who grows in power much like the Rangers and Camille a loyal minion who will go through hell and back because she believes it's worth it. * BrokenBase: The Solar Morphers split the fans right down the middle- some thought that the sunglasses made sense as all of the Rangers do complicated martial arts sequences in their morph sequence, and sunglasses are as good a disguise, as, say [[Series/PowerRangersWildForce Cell]] [[Series/PowerRangersMysticForce Phone]] morphers. On the other hand, many dismissed the entire concept of the Solar Morphers after RJ used a more conventional morpher, and also because they didn't think sunglasses could be used as morphers.
** It doesn't help that the transformation devices used in ''Gekiranger,'' the Beast Henshin Claws, are integrated into the suits and referred to as "Battle Claws" in ''Jungle Fury.'' The Gekirangers also crack their knuckles before morphing, and rumor has it that the Solar Morphers were brought in over fears kids could imitate the knuckle-cracking and injure themselves.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Despite being a lesser-loved series, ''Jungle Fury'' has one of the most loved non-Ranger characters of the Disney era: Fran, the glasses-wearing, {{adorkable}} girl who slowly comes out of her shell, is well loved amongst the fans.

** Although it probably wouldn't have worked, given that it has been shown that simply having a Solar Morpher isn't enough to become a Ranger. All their gear pretty much Ranger-ifies the energy you yourself generate with MagicMartialArts, as seen with any time the Rangers themselves have difficulty. We were probably spared from seeing Fran smacked around for trying to be a hero.

** A bit of this also goes to Casey as many viewers appreciate his character growth more. While many complained at the time that he was a bit too whiny, especially compared to other [[RookieRedRanger Rookie Red Rangers]] such as Wes, realistically Casey was right to be worried as this was a student that just started out thrusted into the role of guardian and then Power Ranger. But through CharacterDevelopment, he became more confident in his abilities and eventually come out on his own to become a master. Compare Casey from the start of this season to his cameo in [[Series/PowerRangersMegaforce Super Megaforce]] and you see a cub who became a wise master much like Master Mao.

**It's also sad we never got to see Lily use the cheetah-themed motorcycle her "edgy" persona used in an actual Ranger battle. They went to the trouble of making it, so you'd think it'd be used now and again, but no.

* HoYay: RJ/Casey has fans.
** Not without evidence. Casey's greatest fear (revealed during an early two-parter) was something coming out of his closet. He offers to give RJ rub-downs (mistakenly believing that RJ has regressed to his wolf form), and he also mentions being the "catcher" for his little league baseball team. Given RJ's bohemian attitude to life, you could very easily see RJ and Casey getting together. What didn't hurt was that every other character paired up. By the close of the finale, Dom and Fran had run off to Europe together, Theo was dating Lily, and Camille and Jarrod were closer than they'd ever been.

Added DiffLines:

* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: While it's easy to see Dai Shi as simply controlling Jarrod's body after possessing him, its ambiguous how much of his appearances is him controlling Jarrod, or rather him simply ''influencing'' Jarrod and bringing out his more negative qualities. One point towards this idea is how he treats Camille. While possessing Jarrod, he shows noticeable kindness and favoritism towards her, though later Jarrod says that ''he'' is the one who cares for Camille, not Dai Shi. Despite this though, Dai Shi possessing Jarrod still expresses familiarity towards his former generals, and follows an honor code of MightMakesRight unlike Jarrod, yet Carnisoar plays on Jarrod's memories of being bullied to try and toughen him up. So how much of Dai Shi possessing Jarrod is actually Dai Shi, and how much is actually Jarrod is up for debate.

* YouLookFamiliar: Subverted as far as possible - Kelson Henderson, who had played roles in the previous three ''Power Rangers'' series, gets reduced to a voice acting credit in the role of Flit, [[spoiler:and only appears in person in the finale - even then, he's mostly hidden by a backwards cap and large sunglasses. [[FridgeHorror Was his transformation to human form not complete]]?]]
** Camille is played by Holly Shanahan, previously Leelee in ''Mystic Force''. [[spoiler:Making this her second role as a villainess who does a HeelFaceTurn.]]
*** Disguised with DyeingForYourArt - Leelee is blonde, Camille has dark hair.
** And Michelle Langstone, Kat Manx from ''SPD'', returns as Master Guin. Who incidentally ''was also called Michelle'' in ''Gekiranger'', leading to fans deeming her Michelle Guin. Or Michelle Pengstone.
** Another subversion: Sarah Thomson (Fran) played Diane, the human form of the ''other'' MonsterOfTheWeek in the ''Series/PowerRangersSPD'' episode "A-Bridged." Fran lacks Diane's EightiesHair.
