* HarsherInHindsight: A ''lot'' of things, as is Key tradition; see RewatchBonus. For example, how Mio is called "shadowless" for her lack of presence by the class bullies; [[spoiler:she actually doesn't have a shadow in the dream world, as it manifests as Midori]]. A more subtle one is the set of CGs, used a few times in Haruka's route, where Haruka is at her parents' house at the kitchen table. She's awkwardly holding the fork in her left hand -- a right-handed place setting, despite the fact that we know she's left-handed. [[spoiler:Between two scenes that use the exact same CGs, we learn that Haruka's extended family used to beat her for being left-handed.]]

** Suginami is a minor character appearing in just two heroine routes and lacks a sprite in the visual novel. In spite of this, she has gained a following of fans who are even working on a fan route for her.

** Kudryavka, usually just called "Kud", is so beloved she got her own expansion.

* TheScrappy: Futaki is hated by certain audiences because of her behavior towards Haruka in the latter's Route.
* TastesLikeDiabetes: What Kurugaya felt after that battle between her and Komari.
** Also Kudryavka Noumi fits into the tee as well

* RewatchBonus: There is a whole ''lot'' of foreshadowing in the game that you probably wouldn't even notice until you replayed while paying attention. For example: both times the narrative reveals what toppings the characters have with foods: first with eggs, then pancakes: Haruka has mayonnaise. [[spoiler:As mayonnaise is made from eggs, this naturally ties into Kanata's (assumed) egg allergy.]]

* HomoeroticSubtext: Between Riki and Kyousuke, and ''how''. It ranges from simple HoYay ([[YaoiFangirl Mio's]] misinterpretations, Kengo's nicknames for Riki including things like 'loves Kyousuke') to ambiguous subtext (yes, leading someone by the hand is a main theme, but there are only so many times a couple of teenage boys can hold hands, think about holding hands, and reminisce at length about how they enjoy holding hands before you start to wonder...) to full-on ShipTease (the whole scene where Riki stays with Kyousuke instead of going to the sleepover, not to mention the distinctly AnguishedDeclarationOfLove-esque feeling to [[spoiler:their final conversation before Riki exited the dream world.]]) The game lampshades it a lot, but given that Riki and Kyousuke's relationship is one of the most important in the entire game - arguably more so than for ''most of the love interests'', it's likely this was all very deliberate.

* {{Narm}} - In the Refrain path [[spoiler:of episode Masato, in Masato's point of view, everyone becomes Masato. While it's intended to be a frightening way of showing Masato's delusion, when Masato visits the cafeteria, everyone is Masato, smiling and fooling around too!]]

* Horrible/VoiceActing: A lot of people feel the voice acting for the anime is abysmal, Komari getting the worst of it since she sounds like she inhaled too much helium.
** The characters in the anime are voiced by the same seiyuu as that of the visual novel, though.

She is forced to leave the dream world by killing her "avatar", and although the ending scene is pretty ambiguous as to her soul's new whereabouts, she can never be with Riki or the Little Busters for real. * EnsembleDarkhorse - Kudryavka is popular enough to have her own After Story (Kud Wafter)!

* FanPreferredCouple: Riki/Rin and Rik/Kyousuke. Also, Komari/Kyousuke and Kud/Masato seem to be the most popular non-canon straight ships in the fandom

** The English dub can fall into the SoOkayItsAverage or SoBadItsGood territory. Some people find that Creator/GregAyres as Masato is [[WTHCastingAgency a big miscast]] since he uses his normal voice acting for the said character rather than trying for a deeper voice. On the other hand, TiffanyGrant's voice acting as Kudryavka Noumi was a bit praised by some for giving the said loli a Russian accent (although the cute part may be a subjective kind of thing); and Tia Ballard's voice acting on Komari sounds more natural by some.

* FanDumb: Many a groan was read when it was revealed that the AnimatedAdaptation wuould be made by Creator/JCStaff rather than Creator/KyotoAnimation. Considering the former's habit of changing plot details every so often and a hang towards {{Flanderization}} makes this at least in part justified, though not to the levels of ComplainingAboutShowsYouDontWatch or even RuinedForever like it was the case on certain websites.
