* AudienceAlienatingPremise: One that was thankfully caught and scaled back. Originally intended to be a direct sequel to ''Kuuga'', someone working on the show raised the point that if another show was made about a new group of Grongi springing up then all of Kuuga's hard work would've been for nothing, which could've turned off returning viewers. Thus the monsters were turned into something completely unrelated, and the only real link is the police having created a power suit originally meant to fight Grongi.

** The fourth rider of the series is called Another Agito. Take a wild guess what the Kaijin from ''Series/KamenRiderZiO'' are called? Another Riders!

* CompleteMonster: [[KnightTemplar Captain Risa Fukami]] is a dangerous combination of [[GeneralFailure incompetence]] and [[InsaneAdmiral sociopathy]]. An officer working for the Japanese Ground Self-Defence Forces, Risa was in charge of an educational facility that exploited the abilities of psychic orphans. When the high levels of ESP attracted the attention of the Ant Lords, Risa merely saw the massacre as a failed experiment. Stealing information from the G3 Unit, Risa completes the lethal [[Film/KamenRiderAgitoProjectG4 G4 System]] and equips suicidal volunteers with it until she can find a way for it to be mass-produced, resulting in at least six casualties. After kidnapping Mana Kazaya, Risa connects her to a machine that absorbs her powers and gives them to the G4 System. Realizing that she had brought the Ant Lords to her base to kill even more people, Risa cowardly uses some of her soldiers as [[HumanShield human shields]], willing to sacrifice the lives of others even in the face of death.

The Rider who acts as a rival was not fully formed yet but it has its roots in this series as a recurring element. A lot of Heisei era tropes came from this show and many of them were expanded upon in later series. Here's a list:

** Movie Riders (Kamen Rider G4 was the first one).
** Rivalries between Riders (this series was more subtle about it).
** PoorCommunicationKills: This series was written by Creator/ToshikiInoue, who later became infamous for writing these sorts of situations. Thankfully it's not as bad here.
