* AntiClimaxBoss: [[spoiler: The Overlord of Darkness goes down from a single Rider Kick after Shouichi, Ryo, and Hikawa kill the Els of Wind and Earth. Though to be fair, he was in a position were he was vulnerable and couldn't really use most of his powers at the time. In reality the Els of Ground and Wind are the actual {{Final Boss}}es, as they're the final enemy of the show to actually be ''fought''. And it didn't ''kill'' him. He just decides to give up his little conquest against the humans and that's it]].
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic:
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2f1oEZLGdI DEEP BREATH, We need it, just focus!]]
** Years after Agito aired, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANEt7s6bu6Q Believe Yourself]] still might just be the best song whenever a Kamen Rider finishes his foe.
** Agito's CoolBike Machine Tornador has its own [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0iPupYkZL8 theme song]].
* BrokenBase: Is the V1 System a Kamen Rider or a [[Series/MetalHeroes Metal Hero]]? The debate comes from the fact that the suit was made by PropRecycling from various Metal Heroes series. Officially, Toei has not taken any stance - the V1 system was not among the group of Rider Reinforcements led by [[Series/KamenRiderOOO Akira Date/Kamen Rider Birth]] in ''Let's Go Kamen Riders''[[note]]The [[Series/KamenRiderRyuki Alternatives]], whose status as a rider is equally debatable, [[Series/KamenRiderKiva Kamen Rider Dark Kiva]], and, ironically enough, fellow ''Agito'' Kamen Rider Another Agito, were also absent from the reinforcements[[/note]], but it was also not among the list of Metal Heroes shown in ''[[Film/KamenRiderXSuperSentaiXSpaceSheriffSuperHeroTaisenZ Super Hero Taisen Z]]''[[note]]although like the rider reinforcements, there are absences - said list does not include ''Series/BRoboKabutack'' or ''Series/TetsuwanTanteiRobotack'', although [[FranchiseKiller there is good reason for this]][[/note]].
* CompleteMonster: [[YMMV/KamenRiderAgitoProjectG4 Fukami]]. See that page for details.
* FauxShadow: The show's second intro features a number of scenes implying future events that never actually happen.
* FranchiseOriginalSin: A lot of issues in many ''Kamen Rider'' shows that have Creator/ToshikiInoue as the lead writer can be traced back here. However, it is not as bad as say, ''[[Series/KamenRider555 555]]'' or ''[[Series/KamenRiderKiva Kiva]]'' since there are legitimate reasons and proper explanations such as PoorCommunicationKills: Shouichi admits that he doesn't know how to explain his power to others once Maya finds out that he's Agito, Gills is being manipulated by the BigBad, and the red tape from the superiors of SAUL prevents the team from helping Agito more than they want to. At the very least, Agito gives an explanation for why some of his SignatureStyle exists in the show while the others don't.
* HarsherInHindsight: Yusuke Kosaka was famously rejected after entering the final rounds of auditions for ''Agito'' when it was found out that he was the son of ''Series/KamenRiderX'' lead Ryo Hayami. Maito Fujioka, the son of [[Main/FirstInstalmentWins original Rider lead]] Hiroshi Fujioka, was later cast in his father's role in the film ''Film/KamenRiderBeyondGenerations''. Borders on HilariousInHindsight when you take into account that the elder Fujioka had made TheCameo in ''Agito'' TheMovie, and that the younger Fujioka had not even been born at the time.
* HilariousInHindsight: Episode 34 sees Agito defeat one of the Unknown using [[Webcomic/OnePunchMan one punch after transforming]].
** The fourth rider of the series is called Another Agito. Take a wild guess what the Kaijin from ''Series/KamenRiderZiO'' are called? Another Riders! Even better is that ''Zi-O'' also has its own Another Agito, but it just reuses the Another Agito suit!
* SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome:
** Agito, G3, Gills and Another Agito teaming up against the Overlord in Episode 46.
*** First, Shouichi tries to punch the Overlord even though he no longer has his powers.
*** After Shouichi's attempt is thwarted by a barrier, G3 fires his GX-05 Kerberos into the barrier, which ends up weakening it enough for Shouichi's second attempt punch the Overlord [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu to succeed]]. This releases the Power of Agito, restoring Shouichi, Ryo, and Kaoru's powers.
*** With their powers now restored, the three Kamen Riders use their respective rider kicks one after another to destroy the Hedgehog Lord.
* {{Narm}}: Thanks to a variant of SpecialEffectsFailure. [[spoiler:After the black Overlord takes back the powers of Agito, Gills and Another Agito, Shoichi goes through a Heroic BSOD of sorts before literally fighting to reclaim them in episode 46. At the critical moment, the black Overlord goes down and the powers he's taken emerge...from his groin.]]
** In TheMovie, when [[spoiler: Gills gets his arm cut off,]] the stump wobbles around amusingly.
** On a couple of occasions we see a closeup of a Lord opening its mouth wide...and it's clearly someone using the mask like a hand puppet.
** Any time we see a closeup of an Unknown after Gills uses his Heel Claw, it's pretty clearly not actually sticking in him, but just resting against the suit.
* NightmareFuel: The various methods the Unknown use to attack their victims.
** Gills himself qualifies as well, especially when you see ''his mouth open.'' Remember, Gills is an organic Rider, like [[Series/KamenRiderAmazon Amazon]]. ''[[BodyHorror That's not a helmet.]]''
** The Unknowns themselves are very nightmare fuel. From their humanlike appearances to the fact that they're constantly hissing or growling (the only word they seem to say is "Agito"). The BGM that accompanies them onscreen does not help.
* OlderThanTheyThink: This is ''not'' the first time Kamen Rider rides a Honda.[[note]]That could go to the very first ''Series/KamenRider'', which had Hondas as basis for Custom Cyclones, although Honda didn't sponsor the franchise until ''Agito''.[[/note]]
** On the other hand, this ''is'' the first series to feature talking weaponry in the form of the GX-05 Cerberus Gatling Gun - while the weapon doesn't [[CallingYourAttacks call attacks]], it ''does'' have a "Releasing Safety" message and an error code for an incorrect activation.
* RetroactiveRecognition: A relatively new ''Kamen Rider'' writer by the name of Creator/YasukoKobayashi wrote episode 28 of this series. In a rare case of the recognition being immediate, she was immediately hired to write [[Series/KamenRiderRyuki the next series]].
** After Yusuke Tomoi admitted to charges of adultery and domestic violence by several women, he retired from the acting business and is more known to be a manager working in the yakiniku restaurant business.
* TooCoolToLive: [[spoiler:Another Agito]]
* ToughActToFollow: Considering that it's right after [[Series/KamenRiderKuuga one of the best Heisei Kamen Rider shows not to mention the first]], this show had a steep hill to climb. While debate ranges if it is better than Kuuga or not, many will agree that it is a great show in its own right and that this is Toshiki Inoue's best work for ''Kamen Rider''.
