* HoYay / AmbiguouslyBi: In one of the party montage scenes, Aldous is seen briefly snogging a man. In another, he and Aaron are leaving a gay bar. Aldous also seems pretty comfortable with having a threesome with another man, and some lyrics in some of his songs could be interpreted to be about gay sex. Finally, he flirts with Aaron and winks before he goes on stage for the concert. Conversely, he does react with considerable horror and disgust when Aaron kisses him during their threesome with Daphne.

* YouLookFamiliar: Most obviously, Jonah Hill's main character is different than the guy he played in ''Sarah Marshall'', but Carla Gallo (the "Gag Me" girl) here plays Destiny, and Da'Vone Mcdonald, the bartender Dwayne in the first movie, plays Sergio's security guard.
** [[LateToThePunchline Destiny & The "Gag Me" Girl are (probably) the same person.]]
** Dwayne does mention he moved from South Central LA to Oahu in ''Sarah Marshall'', so the security guard (who is based in LA) could be his twin brother or something.

* EarWorm: "I've the clap! You've got the clap!" Or, "Stroke the furry wall!"
** Pretty much all of the Infant Sorrow songs are these: "Why won't you call and come home? Please call and come home..." & "Can you hear what's going on? I'm comin up...I'm comin' up...I'm comin' up...I'm comin' u-u-u-u-up!"
** Also, both Jackie Q's songs are incredibly catchy.

* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments: The video tape scene. Jackie keeps insisting they should make a sex tape and Aldous says he doesn't want to, because he just wants to lie there and kiss her.
** The fact that the first song of the concert at the end of the movie was [[spoiler:the one that his father suggested he open the concert with]].

* TearJerker: The scene where Jackie confesses that [[spoiler: Aldous is not the real father of her son]].
** As well as the scene when, after nearly committing suicide, Aldous tearfully admits that he is sad and lonely.

-->"I was doin' lines off some girls' titties! [...] I woke up with glitter on my dick!"
** Not quite one scene, but [[spoiler: the hotel employee Aaron goes with to find Heroin steals the scene completely]]
** Pharrell Williams and his (not gangsta) pink polo shirt.

* UglyGuyHotWife: ElisabethMoss is fairly good looking while Jonah Hill is downright unattractive. In Hill's defence Aaron spends the majority of the film exhausted, stressed out and drugged up so he was probably deliberately made up to look uglier than normal, but even so the disparity in their attractiveness is noticeable.
** The attraction from her side is explained a little after he makes a joke and she smiles and says "You're funny." and drifts off to sleep.
** Still very much this trope. Countless movies have taught us that funniness in a man can outweigh any physical unattractiveness. Not so much for women, of course.
** Well, Jonah Hill CAN look good at times, even if he is overweight. Thing is, in this movie Hill is downright OBESE. Whereas he was just "fat" in Superbad, Sarah Marshall, and Walk Hard, Hill had seriously put on the pounds since and it really [[IncrediblyLamePun outweighed]] his attractiveness.
** This one's definitely a case of YMMV, as there are quite a few people who think Hill looked very good in this film (it helps that he lost the Jew-fro). Also, "fat" and "attractive" are not mutually exclusive.

* {{Mondegreen}}: Inevitable, given the outrageous lyrics for most of the songs. For example, one can't help hearing "Shake the room like a sodomite" (instead of "like it's dynamite") or "If you got a pretty face and a pretty fanny too" (instead of "a pretty thing or two").
