** Tidus is the Protagonist, but Yuna is clearly the center of the plot, until the party as a whole takes the leading role. Or you could say that there is no more leading role in the end.

* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: [[spoiler:Seymour is at least ''intended'' to come across as this: he was born to a human mother and Guado father, he and his mother were banished by his father to maintain the peace in Guadosalam, his mother gave her life to become a Fayth ''right before his very eyes'' (to his horror), and he grew up lonely. As a result, he develops an ideology that life is suffering, and intends to become Sin so that he may kill everyone on Spira and end the cycle of death and pain. Unfortunately, he's targeted by the MisaimedFandom because the creators played ''down'' the potential {{Woobie}} traits and ''played up'' his condescending attitude and SmugSnake grin (as opposed to, say, the other way around]]. Then again, given that ''his own mother'' admits that he's driven completely by a lust for power and has become a CompleteMonster OmnicidalManiac who wants to destroy the world ForTheEvulz, it's kinda hard to ''make'' him sympathetic in the first place.

*** going into details with [[spoiler: Yunalesca]]'s difficulty, her first two forms aren't that bad, she'll use an attack called Hellbiter that does a small amount of damage and inflicts zombie status on the whole party, and then most of the damage she does comes from her using healing spells on them, which she will keep doing if even you remove the zombie status. This is more likely to be annoying than anything else, the bad part is that when she gets to her third form, where she starts using an attack called Megadeath, an instant death spell on the whole party, which you can only survive if someone has something protects from instant death (not likely at that point), or is in the zombie status, meaning you can't heal them.

* {{Wangst}}: Seriously dude, unless you [[CannotSpitItOut spit it out]] sometime soon, you have no right to be angsting over your [[LoveInterest love interest's]] [[HeroicSacrifice noble,]] [[StupidSacrifice if ultimately unnecessary sacrifice]], even if it does end up making this whole thing a ShoottheShaggyDog. Man up.

* HilariousInHindsight: The cutscene with Tidus grinding down the wires in Bevelle can be seen as quite hilarious, if you remember than JamesArnoldTaylor (Tidus' American VA) took over as the voice of [[RatchetAndClank Ratchet]] from 2 onwards.

** Quick Hit allows you to attack, and then get a second turn with no delay. Keep using the ability and your enemy never gets an action.

** Yuna's celestial weapon Nirvana turns her into a death machine. It breaks her damage limit and lets her cast any spell for just 1 mana-- including Holy, which normally costs ''85''. Even better, once Lulu gets Ultima and Doublecast, Yuna can immediately learn both with a black magic sphere and a special sphere. Yuna can then doublecast Ultima, doing tens of thousands in damage to all enemies, for less mana than the weakest cure spell.

** Yojimbo is a summoned aeon who fights for money. He's supposed to act randomly depending on how much you pay him. If you play your cards right you can guarantee he will use his ultra-rare "Zanmato" attack, which kills literally ''anything'' in one hit.
