* [[TookTheBadFilmSeriously Took The Bad Gimmick Seriously]]: Fans are still insure about whether The Boogeyman was a worker doing his best with an outlandish gimmick out of professionalism or a honest performer taking a dream chance to unload his quirkiest side, but in any case, the point is that Wright took a character which was basically condemned to Website/WrestleCrap from the beginning and made it work through sheer enthusiasm and charisma. Wrestlers who accomplish this are typically regarded as legends, and it's very telling that Wright is currently in a legends contract with WWE.

* UncannyValley: The Boogeyman himself is straight up ''horrifying''. Not only is he covered in scars, but he also has long, sharp claws and equally sharp teeth.

* NightmareFuel: The mere fact that you play as [[AdultFear a child]] who has to fend off the titular Boogeyman is terrifying enough, but things are made far worse when you see [[http://boogeyman.wikia.com/wiki/Boogeyman_(Monster) what this monster looks like]]. It also doesn't help that he has ''[[FourIsDeath four]] ways to get inside your room'' and he'll move various objects in the room to distract you.

* CrazyAwesome: Not only Boogeyman himself, but also the fact that the act managed to get over, and as a babyface no less.

* SugarWiki/FunnyMoment: When you go into the basement, you can find a secret room where you will see the Boogeyman dancing with one of his copies. When they notice you, instead of killing you, they become embarrassed and state that they were dancing to work off the effects of the sugar consumed by the children whose souls they devoured. They than state "You saw nothing" and disappear.

** The worms he would eat and/or try to shove down his opponents' throats. Especially relevant when you learn that at least some of them were '''alive''' worms. Wright has quite of a stomach.
