** The SignatureScene of Big Brother 19 is pretty much everyone (Sans Mark, Kevin, Elena, and Ramses early on) in the backyard yelling at Jessica and Cody at Paul's bequest. Moments like these pretty much solidified the house as the most hated house this side of Big Brother 9 and 15, with Cameron (Evicted Day one) being more liked than half the house. Even poor Megan (who was hated inside the house but not outside), who walked from the agony she faced inside the house, and sweet-natured Jillian, (who was severely unlucky throughout her short run), were more beloved than these contestants. The fact that the final five have only one contestant at near the top of the popularity ratings (Kevin, the one on the outs with the rest) while the other four aside from neutral-rated base-breaker Josh are circling the drain at the bottom, shows how shitty things got in the end.
*** Cody and Jessica themselves crossed it repeatedly beforehand for some viewers, making extremely hateful, transphobic comments (Cody), treating other houseguests poorly in-general (including the aforementioned Megan-hate which they helped spearhead), making racist comments (Jessica), bodyshaming people (Jessica), and betraying their alliance.
** Brett crosses it in Big Brother 20 when he verbally trashes Rockstar live on the same night that her daughter is celebrating her tenth birthday and almost certainly watching at home. Rockstar herself calls it "disgusting" several times.
** Memphis and several other houseguests in Big Brother 22 crossed the line by making fun of Ian for being Autistic and laughing about it without remorse. All of their reputations soon tanked horribly, with Nicole F losing her sponsors and Memphis recieving death threats for instigating the incident.
** Ika crossed it in the infamous scene where she callously shredded the housemates' letters from home in BB Canada 2, though it wasn't the shredding of the letters that did it it-- it was how she came to the conclusion of wanting to do it. She spoke candidly thinking she wasn't going to be monitored by the other people in the house, saying some incredibly cold-blooded and vengeful things, and gleefully shredded several (and regretting a select few she had to destroy)... only to see them after destroying the letters and get rightfully cussed out and flipped off. She had a right to take the $5,000 check because Ika knew nobody in the house was going to keep her safe from eviction, but showed too much delight in screwing over the house in a very sadistic manner.
** Big Brother 23:
*** Sarah Beth putting the beloved Derek X on the block as a backdoor eviction was the moment that solidified her status as a villain to most viewers. And if not that, then her directly telling the viewers that “America can wipe their ass with the BB bucks” was what did it.
*** Xavier turning the entire Cookout alliance, except for Hannah, against the eventual AFP winner Tiffany was the moment that solidified his villainy to viewers. Between him doing this in response to her throwing away her closest ally for them, a move that the viewers saw as selfless but Xavier painted to the other houseguests as selfish, along with him convincing the alliance members to go even further and discredit everything else that she did, soured most viewers’ opinion on him for the rest of the game.
*** Azah lost most of her remaining fans when she targeted Hannah during the double eviction, despite Hannah just losing her only ally Tiffany, Hannah making it clear beforehand that she wanted to work with Azah but Azah refusing to even consider it (even going so far as to state in a Confession Cam that she was fine with getting fourth place as long as she could guarantee that Hannah would lose) in spite of Hannah being nothing but nice to her the whole season along with Kyland and Xavier clearly being bigger threats to Azah’s game, making it clear that Azah’s move was spite-based rather than strategy-based, and ultimately resulting in making Hannah spend the entire episode looking like she really needed to cry. Her following this up in the live feeds by mocking Hannah for looking scared, among other mean-spirited comments about her, certainly didn’t help.
*** Kyland arguably had three of these, ensuring that no one could possibly take his mantle of BigBad. The first moment that made viewers turn on him was his corruption of Sarah Beth by emotionally isolating her from the rest of the house, and as a result preventing her from having any kind of support network in the house except for him. Sarah Beth seemed to consider the whole situation as outright emotional abuse based on her statements in the Jury House. Then, once the Cookout got to final six, he immediately targeted both Tiffany and Hannah, the two remaining fan favorites, on the grounds that he considered neither of them deserving winners for the season. Most viewers saw this decision as outright sexism considering Derek F was still in the game despite sleeping through most of the season and winning zero challenges, making Kyland’s attempt to argue that Derek F deserved to win more than Tiff or Hannah (who both won multiple challenges and were clearly much more active strategists than DF) come across as nonsensical. And then, if he still had anyone rooting for him, Kyland tried to pick a fight with Xavier while being evicted by telling him he was a bad role model for his nephew, even pushing him on it repeatedly until Julie Chen scolded him into leaving.
** Todrick Hall became one of the show's most hated players. Him and Miesha shifting the eviction to Shanna was in many ways seen as some brilliant gameplay... but when Shanna was evicted? Todrick Hall decided to KickTheDog in one of the most brutal ways: Shanna had explained about the time she was robbed and the burglar said "Don't be hard on me". Todrick said this quote verbatim to Shanna as she left. It would be one thing if he didn't know this happened, but he knew it did - meaning he did this just to hurt her.
** Zach Nielson did this in the eleventh Season of Canada when he tried to blackmail Hope into being punished by production the second he realised he was going to be the Replacement Nominee and tried to talk Ty and Dan into quitting as well.

** The zombie twist on Season 25. A universally well-liked double eviction where two of the house's biggest villains were evicted in the span of an hour, only to end with Julie revealing that both of them would immediately be moving back into the house as "zombies", and one of them would have the chance to return to the game for good. Not only that, but the entire game was paused for a week while this twist played out. The twist was thoroughly hated for making the double eviction pointless, and for killing the momentum of the season that had been building over the prior few weeks.

** Cody from US Season 19. He without a doubt could be a serious asshole, making some hateful transphobic remarks and treating a lot of the houseguests very poorly. After they decided they had enough of it, the other houseguests chose to turn the tables and subject Cody to a massive hazing by the entire house. Additionally, his girlfriend is evicted right before jury, and lo and behold: JerkassHasAPoint in Paul being the mastermind and almost everyone left in the house being crazy and/or mentally unstable. It was definitely not an easy week for him, and its up to the viewers to decide if this is a case of KickTheDog or KickTheSonOfABitch.

In fact, the shipping for Zach is so intense that the fandom has even resorted to getting into ShipToShipCombat with each other. ** Marissa Jaret Winokur in the first US version of Celebrity Big Brother. Many felt that Ross Mathews was robbed and that most of the jury was voting for her on principle. However, as time went on, people started to point out she got WhatMeasureIsANonBadass treatment by the fandom, and that she deserved it due to a more social game. (The fact that she was more interested in the game than her career also helped.) She later returned to co-host a post-eviction special with Ross Mathews for Big Brother 20, which helped soften some hatred towards her.

* NotBadassEnoughForFans: Anyone deemed "undeserving" or simply didn't play the kind of game that people didn't like them. Typically, if you wind up taken over someone or actually have someone backstab their alliance in order to take you further, then you've certainly done something right.
** Porsche got this hard against the Vets. She was criticised of taking the offer of safety that the veterans offered her and for aligning with people who wouldn't have dropped her at final six.
** In-universe: Everyone (especially Zach) thinks that Victoria is too passive and acts like she's in summer camp (as opposed to playing in Big Brother.) Dr. Will points out that she made it to the finals with her social game, and that she was playing the game while Zach was the one in summer camp.
** Then there's [=BB17=]'s winner Steve Moses. He's accused of floating his way to the end and only winning because he wasn't against Vanessa, which some claim is just because he got lucky that the last question in the Final HOH was a random tidbit from John. Quite a few have claimed he's undeserving of the million and that Vanessa should have won. This is ignoring the fact that Vanessa wouldn't have taken him because she wanted a girl to win and still didn't vote for him in the end, and despite the fact his game was miles better than Liz's, who was practically non existent.
** Big Brother 6 Canada's winner, Paras. The fact she won period is seen by some as anti-climactic and a "Bitter jury". Kaela and Derek were much more active, whereas Paras intentionally played dumb, then became nigh untouchable at the end. Paras actually played very similarly to "Dr. Will".
** Taylor Hale got hit with this by fans in the US's 24th season - her game being more of a social game rather than a competition oriented game. Even though she was nominated six times, she managed to survive while not Determinator losing her composure.

** Nicole expected this to be pulled on Dr. Will in Season 2. Which ironically, she becomes one herself, due to fans forgetting that she was the power player in Season 2.
** Kalia, Shelly, and Porsche have had this. A lot of people dislike their gameplay, despite being as skilled in the game as others and clearly not being it.
*** Porsche got this hard against the Vets. She was criticised of taking the offer of safety that the veterans offered her and for aligning with people who wouldn't have dropped her at final six.
** Surprisingly averted with Jordan in Season 13 - despite literally being carried in both seasons she's on, everyone claims that she is a better competitor for having won a luxury competition and only one [=HOH=]. Then again, everyone will agree that it's her game to lose if Porsche didn't cut her off at final 4.
** In-universe: Everyone (especially Zach) thinks that Victoria is too passive and acts like she's in summer camp (as opposed to playing in Big Brother.) Nuking the scrappy page, keeping some examples from there (altho they might need rewriting)

* The Scrappy

* TheScrappy:
** Mr. Pectacular Jessie Godderz from Big Brother 10 and Big Brother 11 has been a constant annoyance since Season 10 because he is always so cocky and tries to remain blameless, with producers turning him into a mascot for the series who has managed to evolve into a OnceASeason appearance.
** Frankie Grande of Big Brother 16, mostly for being a CreatorsPet, being highly repulsive & offensive, a gigantic attention whore and coming off as fake and disingenuous. The reaction towards him became even more intense when Frankie decided to backstab his ally: fan favorite Zach, said he wanted to "euthanize" Zach, stab his heart and "bathe in Zach's blood". He also showed zero remorse in making fun of Zach (including making rude and negative comments about Zach's personality, his weight, etc) to everyone in the house. It also didn't help when he insulted every single female houseguests except for Joey and Paola (who were the two earliest boots). To top it all off, Frankie made a highly offensive rape joke about Victoria.
** Paul became a full-blown Scrappy in Big Brother 19 due to the amount of rigging that went his way, as well as his extreme bullying tactics. Much of the cast of that season also qualifies.
** JC who seems a little too creepy with how infamous his ice cream scoop incident has become, as well as his fondling Tyler in his sleep. People are also troubled by the lengthy discussion he had with Bayleigh about the appropriate use of derogatory terms like "midget" and "nigga", which prompted the unpleasant return of the anti-prejudice disclaimer last seen in the dreaded Big Brother 15. While the discussion was positive and showed JC meant no harm, Bayleigh was genuinely hurt by even hearing the word because she grew up in a predominantly white community. The show's producers also treated this incident with care and did not use these inflammatory remarks to get the ratings up, but educate people instead. This has made JC forgivable but people wished he showed more caution in what he said. Asking if Rachel was transgender and feeling her Adam's apple didn't sit well with a lot of people, either, because Rachel became uncomfortable and asked him to stop.
** Kyland from Big Brother 23 earned his spot as a Big Brother Scrappy for being a dick to pretty much everyone including Sarah Beth, and especially Xavier who he nearly got expelled by purposely saying at his eviction that he was an awful role model for his nephew, kicked Hannah when she was down, and corrupted Sarah Beth.

** Raven is very lovable and dorky and she's also the type to get easily excited over things. She shows to be enthusiastic and perky come every eviction vote with Julie. Raven was also the one who wanted temporary tattoos after the "Inked & Evicted" challenge ended. Her showmance partner Matt chose a temptation where he was made to dress as a ballerina. Raven is a dance teacher, so, naturally, after the challenge ends, he gave his tutu for her to wear for fun. However, her adorable personality is later on tainted and viewed in a more negative light as she reveals that underneath her cutesy persona, there lies a very nasty and violent personality. She's not as cute when she's bullying people or exploding in anger at others. The fact that she constantly embellishes stuff about her real life does not make her the least bit endearing.

** After 2020, CBS passed a policy that their reality shows must have a cast of at least 50% BIPOCBlack Indigenous People Of Colour to better represent the country.

** 24 featured a twist in which the house was divided into two camps who would live separately and ultimately culminate in a double eviction before reuniting. This naturally split the viewers - some view it as a good twist, some view it as a bad twist. Some think it was a twist that sounded better on paper, some think it was just poorly executed. Some think the twist itself was indeed bad, but it only worked within the context of 24, and some think the only saving grace was that it actually saved the season from being another big-alliance-blowout.
** The third season of Canada had one twist in which the jury started earlier than normal, but the final three would have to unanimously evict a juror. Some think this twist was unfair, some saw it coming. Others pointed out that it may have only worked within this particular season due to the final three being able to divide the jurors into their allies.

* WereStillRelevantDammit: Big Brother 20's house, despite being rather colourful and active in terms of its design, kind of falls into this with its "Tech" theme and the entire wall of Fidget Spinners. Paloma is the ringleader of turning the house against Taylor during the first week, and ends up being the first gone due to self-eviction for mental health reasons. Pooch sets up a scheme to get Taylor out the second week, but it backfires in an EpicFail and he goes home instead. Then her three biggest bullies, Ameerah, Taylor, and Daniel, all get sent home back-to-back-to-back due to them being outside of the newly-formed dominant Leftovers alliance. Then, after making remarks about wanting to throw hot soup in Taylor’s face, Indy ends up being the first to go to Jury simply because she had the misfortune of being the most convenient person to target that week. She’s followed by Taylor’s biggest remaining bully the next week, Jasmine, simply because of Jasmine’s waning popularity in general. Two weeks later, houseguest Kyle attempts to rally the white houseguests against the black houseguests, which would include Taylor, only for everyone to get fed up with him and send him home instead. He’s followed by Taylor’s biggest remaining bully Terrance the next week due to Terrance proving himself as a mild threat shortly beforehand, and finally houseguest Brittany ends up on the chopping block three weeks later after attempting to turn the vote against Taylor the week before, simply because the remaining houseguests liked her the least. With the exceptions of Joseph, Michael, and Alyssa, Taylor’s Karma can be said to have completely determined the season’s eviction order.
