The issue stems from the fact that these answers are extremely subjective rather than being based on fact, and even someone who knows a certain juror extremely well could still answer incorrectly. Production seems to have acknowledged this: starting with Season 20, the Final Round is instead based on statistics about each of the jurors, with contestants having to pick which statistic is false.

*** It certainly doesn't help that this season is largely blamed for the direction the series has taken since then. Nearly early every season afterward has played out almost exactly the same way as Season 16: a power alliance with one or two leaders steamrolls the rest of the house until no one else remains, after which evictions almost invariably go straight down the pecking order until only the aforementioned leaders remain. While it's certainly an effective strategy for those who manage to establish themselves at the top of the alliance, [[BoringButPractical it makes for boring, predictable television that isn't fun or interesting to watch in the slightest]]. The producers have clearly tried fighting against this strategy with [[ObviousRulePatch the introduction of various, increasingly outlandish twists]], but so far nothing has worked, and the power alliance strategy has continued to reign supreme. Many think the only way to end it is to change the game at a fundamental level, up to and including the return of the audience voting on evictions.

* EightDeadlyWords: Big Brother Brasil 22 has been considered the most boring installment of the show, with a dry selection of participants who appear to be uninterested in playing the game. Many fans have noticed that most of them are only worried about getting more social media followers, so they try to force themselves into becoming memes and avoid being "canceled" at all costs, so they refrain from saying or doing anything that could cause any sort of controversy or backlash, making the show very bland. None of the participants is particularly charismatic or entertaining, so the audience is not as excited to root for any of them as it was in the previous editions.

*** Derek F’s actual nickname in the house was “Big D”, to differentiate him from the skinnier and younger Derek X, who was “Baby D”. Fans however took to calling Derek F “Big Delusional”, due to him genuinely believing that he carried his alliance through the season despite him winning zero competitions to help them or even having to betray anyone for them like all five other alliance members had to do.
* FanonDiscontinuity: Some certain fans of the American version of Big Brother tend to ignore the first season due it being a completely different game than the games in the other seasons and the developers of that series treating it like OldShame themselves, with new producers later coming on to revamp the show into its current format. Because of that, you usually don't find that season in some season/houseguest/winner rankings. There's also people who basically treat Season 15 like a RedHeadedStepchild because it started out okay but quickly descended into the rectal cavity and into the bowels of infamy from which it will never return.

* FridgeBrilliance:
** The [=HOH=] competitions in the US Big Brother. Strategically, you ''don't'' want to win [=HOH=] because it puts a target on your back as you reveal your targets and sometimes your alliance to the house; and you're often seen as "getting them out" even when all you did as [=HOH=] was nominate them for eviction, very easily someone can flip the votes around with you having nothing to do with it. [=HOH=] only votes in the event of a tie. So naturally, people try to avoid this until much later in the game, but the competitions are designed so that somebody ''has'' to win, and it's not uncommon to have someone win by default. A common strategy is to throw it to your own alliance members.
** The final veto challenge in 12. It was actually set up like most multiple choice tests where you can eventually narrow it down to two possible choices. This was what allowed Hayden to win it, since he still had that skill of removing the blatantly-incorrect choices due to being a college student, whereas the other people in the challenge were a hotel sales manager, oil company worker, and insurance agent who had ''long'' finished school, or hadn't even gone to college.
** Josh's master plan in 19, which seems cowardly at first glance, but is actually an innovative and incredible idea. He used the goodbye videos to tell evicted houseguests the truth about himself being in an alliance with Paul, and to rat out Paul as the mastermind behind their eviction. The thing is, these videos are completely confidential, recorded in the Diary Room and only played outside of the house after someone gets evicted. Which meant as long as Josh kept his mouth shut, there was no possible way Paul could ever know Josh's strategy, and Josh was able to completely destroy Paul's game without him ever knowing about it. And anyone bound for Jury who sees them will go off to Jury with the knowledge Paul is a backstabber. Rinse and repeat several times, and you have multiple people in Jury who respect you for being honest and like the fact you are not totally on board with the guy who backstabbed them. Josh laid the foundation for his victory well in advance of Paul, and Paul was unable to secure the jury votes he needed to win.
* FridgeHorror: A few houseguests spoke in their sleep (notably Michele in US season 11). Sometimes, these sleep-talks unnerved everyone, because one can only imagine what on ''earth'' was going on in their dreams. The answer? Probably something you do ''NOT'' want to know...
** At least once a season, a houseguest with children has [[AdultFear a nightmare about their children being hurt while they were on the show.]]
** In BB 20, Brett takes a moment during the third live eviction night to turn Rockstar into his scapegoat. That is sure to make anyone mad, but for Rockstar, this is especially below the belt and enough to make it personal and send her into hysterics as the following week progresses and she drops out of an HOH competition first, breaking down in tears. Rockstar getting extremely angry at Brett and her subsequent meltdown seems a little unjustified at first. However, one fact changes this- when Rockstar reveals that Brett did this on ''her daughter's birthday.'' This means her daughter likely just watched her mom get insulted and trashed on LIVE TV that night and spoiled her special night. Rockstar has every right to want to get back at Brett, and she does.

** A few weeks into Big Brother 20, rumours started spreading that Bayleigh had gotten pregnant by Swaggy C while in the house. This prompted a storm of memes and jokes on social media about the alleged Big Brother baby, including multiple “Swayleigh Fetus” joke accounts. These jokes stopped almost immediately after the end of the season, when Bayleigh revealed that she and Swaggy did conceive a child in the house, but she had a miscarriage in the jury house.

Misuse. Does not mention audience avoiding work. Complaining.

* EndingAversion: For the subset of Big Brother 23 viewers who did support what the Cookout mission was achieving, but hated the way that the final six played out after that (mostly due to two out of the three final players being considered TheLoad, and the only player who wasn’t The Load being an extremely predictable winner because of this), many prefer to imagine that the game simply ended at Final 6 and the whole Cookout won instead. Helping this interpretation is that [[EnsembleDarkhorse Hannah]] was the one to win the final HOH needed for their success, and as the most universally liked member of the group, it gives that ending a very positive spin for these viewers.

* {{Moe}}: Hannah Chaddha of Big Brother 23 is absolutely adorable. She’s the youngest of the cast, very short in stature with a baby face, often styles herself with cute hairdos and outfits along with makeup blush that emphasizes her youthfulness, and is about as kind as one can be on a show like Big Brother while still doing what is required to make it far in the game. For example, having UndyingLoyalty to fellow houseguest Tiffany even when it became unpopular to associate with her, because she thought the house wasn’t being fair to her, and going out of her way to be sweet to houseguests Derek X and Claire even knowing she couldn’t take them far because of her alliance. She won the adoration of many other houseguests with her cute personality and cute quirks such as accurate imitations of how the houseguests walk and goofy dance moves. Her status as this was sealed with her elimination episode, when she got blindsided by a double eviction at the worst possible time and then spent the entire episode alternating between looking completely terrified or on the verge of tears as she failed to win either the HOH competition or veto while every other member of the house ganged up on her to ensure her eviction, making her come across as a major {{Woobie}}. Most comments about the episode on websites like Website/{{Twitter}} were along the lines of “my poor baby!” with crying emojis and outrage at the other contestants. The extent of the outrage even got so bad that the episode’s HOH who targeted Hannah ''had to have her Twitter account set to private for a week'' as a result of the intense fan backlash, confirming many see her like this.

* FanNickname:
** Chima from Big Brother 11 was nicknamed "Hirochima" after her explosion(s).
** Julie Chen has been nicknamed "Chenbot". House guests have actually called her "Chenbot" a few times, and CBS even has videos of ''Big Brother'' up on Website/YouTube with "Chenbot" in the keywords, so they're well aware of this.
*** The origin of the nickname "Chenbot" is because Julie Chen has been able to say certain lines (mostly "but first") in the ''exact same way'' each time, even making the same movements as she looks towards the camera or stands up from a bench. You can see a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDo7-4HbE80 Montage]] from season 6.
** Gretel Killeen was named Gretski by housemate Blair in season one, and continued to be called Gretski by fans for the remainder of her hosting stint.
** Victoria from [=BB16=] has been called Queen Victoria, partially out of irony due to her inability to win competitions, but also due to her self-assured personality and being the only girl left by Final 5. Other fans will jokingly call her anything ''but'' her actual name, like Velma, Vacuum, or Vuvuzela, in reference to how forgettable she was.
** The "Chop Shop" alliance from [=BBCan3=] has been dubbed the "Flop Shop" by many fans, who consider it doomed from the start: Zach is a mole, the two girls (Willow and Ashleigh) are more interested in working with the other girls, and the three other guys are generally disliked due to being {{boisterous bruiser}}s.
*** From the same season, Naeha quickly became known as Slaeha. Apparently it was for her gameplay, even though she was only [[WeHardlyKnewYe briefly seen]] [[InformedAttribute before coming in 15th place]].
** Victor on Big Brother 18 got the nickname [[Series/GameOfThrones "Juan Snow"]] due to his strong resemblance to Jon Snow, combined with his Latino heritage.
** During one [=HoH=] competition on Big Brother 18, Michelle, already known for being ProneToTears, started vomiting due to stress during the competition. This sent her into another fit of hysterics, during which she dubbed herself "Vomit Cry Baby." Fans quickly ran with the name.
** Fans have come to dub Big Brother 19 "Big Paul" because he [[SpotlightStealingSquad completely stole the show.]] A reporter for ''Entertainment Tonight'' made note of this to Paul himself at the afterparty, and he laughed at it heartily.
** A common joke nickname is for people online to call Christmas by any holiday name other than Christmas, e.g. Thanksgiving, Arbor Day, Flag Day, etc. The more obscure the better.
** Big Brother 21: Pretty much everyone from the Gr8ful/Six Shooters alliance was subject to some nasty nicknames by fans, due to their unpopularity.
*** The Gr8ful alliance as a whole was nicknamed H8ful as a result of their constant bullying and belittling of the other side of the house.
*** Jack and Jackson, while given the collective nickname "The Jacks" by the show, were referred to as "The Jackasses" online, for [[JerkAss obvious reasons]].
*** Jackson also gained the nickname "Snackson" due to his BigEater tendencies, including breaking Have Not rules by eating in the shower.
*** Holly was dubbed "Beth" after David accidentally called her this, to her annoyance.
*** Analyse became "Anal Lice", referencing Brett's intentional misspelling from the hacker competition last season.
** Nicole Franzel is commonly referred to as “Ratcole” or “Snakeole” for her cattiness and victim playing.
** Big Brother 23:
*** Kyland is often referred to as “Kyren” by fans due to the discovery that his Website/{{Twitter}} account was full of tweets where he acted like a “Karen”, often crying for customer service over small issues and showing entitled behavior toward corporate accounts. * [[EnsembleDarkhorse/BigBrother Ensemble Dark Horse]]

* EnsembleDarkhorse:
** Lisa in the ninth UK series entered with her boyfriend Mario, and was initially in his shadow and a background character, but after he was evicted she grew in popularity, because of her humour and the way she managed to be a bit of a CloudCuckooLander while being very down-to-earth at the same time, and was one of the few housemates to actually stand up to house villain Rex. When she was evicted it was a very close vote between her and [[TheWoobie Sara, who had been bullied badly by some of the other housemates]]. Lisa left with the crowd giving her the biggest cheers of the series even more so than any of the finalists that year.
** Marcus in the tenth UK series said he was going to rebel and intentionally tried to invoke this trope, calling himself "The Irrepressible Dark Horse". Although he didn't win, to an extent it worked, as he had one of the biggest fanbases of any housemate that series. This is added to the fact that currently he has the record for the most nominations for eviction of any housemate ever in the UK series.
** Season 9 of the Australian Big Brother has Surly, who isn't a housemate but the pet fish of the house who can talk and can give challenges to whoever he wants. His first reveal had everyone love him because of how unexpected it was and all his actions after that have made everyone love him more..
** Judd from US Big Brother 15 was well liked by fans but was voted off as the second person on the jury. He got closer when he came back, but was voted out in 5th. He did [[TookALevelInJerkass take a level in jerkass]] when he returned though. But wouldn't you if your closest ally betrayed you and the house came down to the very ''worst'' of the bunch left in power?
** Also from BB 15, Nick. He was a favorite to win from pre-season interviews, but his SpearCounterpart Helen outsmarted him and Nick was out ''second''. Yet he has his own Website/YouTube channel and used it to set up a tour of the afterparty for that season and go on a sort of date with [=GinaMarie=].
** Kevin, Naeha and Johnny from Canada Season 3. All of them were very well-liked by fans for different reasons. Johnny for being entertaining, [[FanNickname Slaeha]] being the strongest female strategist at that time, and Kevin was entertaining due to his personality and strategies.
** For Season 16, Pao-Pao's snarky nature got her more fans than she short stay in the house. Christine's husband, despite not even being in the house, also saw a rise in popularity.
** Season 17, we have Jason, despite being that close of reaching jury, he was considered humorous and is a superfan. His return to ''Over the Top'' saw him jump to second place, though his behavior was a lot more unchained and brutally honest.
*** After Jason left, the popularity polls have spoken and Johnny Mac is the new most popular player by quite a large margin for his quirky offbeat behaviour, his hilariously loud voice, and his underdog story. He definitely counts as this trope as he only placed fourth and was the second to last jury member.
*** We also have James (who ended up winning America's Favorite). He's also this to an extent in [=BB18=] but lesser since some argue he's not playing the game as hard and/or has trash talked Victor and Paul.
** After returning from the Battle Back, Victor from US Big Brother 18 has become very popular for his underdog story, his friendship with Paul who has also become popular, and for being one of the nicer houseguests of the season.
** US BB 19 gave us Cameron, who was one of the unluckiest houseguests ever who went out in under 24 hours without even making it to day one and didn't get through the Battle Back Showdown, but found himself getting attention from both women ''and'' men afterwards. He got even more popular when he spoke his mind at the finale and grilled an ''entire'' GenreBlind house, revealing that had he gone the distance, Cameron would have probably kept the show in balance and interesting instead of Paul just creaming everybody and running the whole shebang.
** Steve Arienta from BB 20 became an early favorite because he strongly resembled Derrick, only with a really lively personality and naturally cool charm, not wanting to take crap from anybody. Fans felt disappointed to see him become the first eviction and blindside of the season when he was clearly on the path to running the game if given time, but are happy that he received a lot of screentime to make up for his early departure.
** From Canada Season 4 we have Joel who was very close to being in the finale, but was (aside from Tim) the most liked houseguest of the final 6. (Or the least divisive one) Even the jury was shocked to see Joel go.
** Angela from BBAU season 12, for her outspoken personality, her winning two endurance challenges, and for being one of the few people in the house who was actually playing the game she was so popular that when a twist kept her in the game after being voted out almost no one complained.
** Frenchie from Big Brother 23 was the second houseguest evicted and yet ended up being one of the most memorable for how entertainingly over-the-top he was. The common fan sentiment is that he ''made'' the first two weeks but probably would have been [[LargeHam too]] [[DramaQueen much]] if he stayed any longer.
** Derek X and Claire of Big Brother 23 became fan favorites of their season despite being outside of the season’s main draw, the Cookout alliance. This is due to them being very likable individuals and supportive friends to the other houseguests, making it all the more tragic that they had to be evicted for the sake of the alliance’s success. Derek X gets some additional love for being an unexpectedly effective comp beast as well, with many pleasantly surprised to see how well he did on the challenges despite his wiry physique, ultimately being seen as enough of a threat for the Cookout to prioritize targeting him.
** Out of all the Cookout members from Big Brother 23, Hannah was the most liked despite being the second evicted out of the six and the TV edits giving her the least amount of screen time by a significant margin. This is due to her being really endearing while also being more grounded and moral than her fellow alliance members, along with the feeds showing that she was a genuinely great strategist for the Cookout while still maintaining her kind personality. Many fans loved her even more after her heartbreaking eviction episode, due to how kind she continued to be by repeatedly insisting that no one should feel bad about evicting her despite her having just spent the whole episode looking terrified and being on the verge of tears, confirming that she truly is as sweet of a person as she appeared to be.
** Lamar from Celebrity Big Brother 3 became an instant hit with fans despite, or perhaps even because of, not even understanding the fundamentals of how the game works, leading to a bunch of hilarious moments. For example, when finding out how the final two works, his response was “There’s no way losers can decide if I win!” His popularity rose even further when he unexpectedly showed genuine CharacterDevelopment throughout the season and became more savvy about how the game works, even becoming the OnlySaneMan out of all of the remaining non-villainous houseguests by the time of the final six. In particular, he was the only one to question the house’s incredibly idiotic decision to vote out [[HeelFaceTurn Shanna]] over [[BigBad Miesha]], leaving fans thankful that there was still at least one houseguest who wasn’t a {{Jerkass}} and/or an idiot.
** Despite being the second houseguest evicted, Mirai from Celebrity Big Brother 3 was a fan favorite as well due to her being TheCutie and fans sympathizing with her for several reasons. Between her earnest wish to be good representation for Asian Americans on the show, gracefully handling the other houseguests targeting her repeatedly despite how inoffensive and easy to get along with she seemed to be, and coming across as TheWoobie for how poorly the cast treated her in general, most fans felt she deserved much better and wished that she could have made it further into the game than she did.
** Creator/ChrisKattan became a fan favorite on Celebrity Big Brother 3 as well despite how little he strategized or even engaged with the game, and not lasting very long in the game either due to being the third to leave. This is mostly due to him [[NiceGuy being the only one who went out of his way to make sure that Mirai didn’t feel excluded]], which [[TheWoobie Mirai definitely needed]], leading to what viewers considered an extremely wholesome friendship dynamic. Viewers also found some of his antics really funny, such as his habit of getting up in the middle of the night to eat cake, which got to a point that he basically claimed the whole cake for himself.
** Due to being much more genuinely passionate about Big Brother gameplay than most of their fellow houseguests, along with the relatively cruel way they were ousted, both Shanna and [[Music/NSync Chris Kirkpatrick]] from Celebrity Big Brother 3 are also very popular among fans. Kirkpatrick was told he was a bad role model for his son for the heinous crime of...not trusting [[TheScrappy Todrick]], while Shanna's popularity skyrocketed after her eviction because of literally everyone left minus Lamar deciding she should go home because she played both sides [[HeelFaceDoorSlam despite having just saved the "heroic" side of the house]]. Let's just say fans were ''furious'' when she didn't win [=AFP=] over Carson, one of the people who turned on her and took a level in Jerkass.

** Celebrity Big Brother 3 has a handful of Adorkable houseguests as well. Mirai came across as socially awkward in the house and had trouble making friends, and yet most fans found her very adorable and endearing. Lamar and Chris Kattan also came across as this for being totally clueless about how the game works, making them come across as dorky in their attempts to understand what was going on, and yet were so sweet to the other houseguests that most fans loved them anyway.
