** In "The Garden Party", while the Freemans attend a party full of rich white people, Huey attempts to tell "[[UsefulNotes/ConspiracyTheories the truth]]" (Jesus was black, Ronald Reagan was the devil, and the government is lying about 9/11). However, no one believes him because he's just a kid, he has no solid evidence, and everything he says is just his own opinions; also, Huey and Robert believe that if he told people the "the truth", [[GoMadFromTheRevelation chaos would ensue among white people]]. That doesn't happen either; just because '''one''' person says something, especially when it's a conspiracy theorist's opinion, it doesn't mean that everyone is going to instantly believe said person.

* NWordPrivileges: Lampshaded, parodied and deconstructed in "The S-Word", when teacher Joe Petto refers to Riley as "nigga" in a [[InnocentBigot ill-advised attempt to be friendly]] and this instead gets him into massive trouble, with Robert and Riley scheming to use this to sue the school. In one scene, Huey points out that his grandfather and brother's plan is hypocritical since they both use the word casually and constantly. In another, a shaken Mr. Petto complains to the principal that he only used the word because Riley constantly and casually uses it to refer to everyone around and even himself, culminating in a complaint that he never used the word before Riley showed up.

[[https://www.cnn.com/2001/US/05/17/us.afghanistan.aid/index.html The $43 million in question]] wasn't cash; it was the value of food aid (mostly wheat) the US sent to Afghanistan to alleviate a potential famine, including in areas the Taliban didn't control. In areas where they were in control, the aid was given through the UN and [=NGOs=] rather than through the (unrecognized) Taliban government. While some of this value could be considered indirect subsidization of the Taliban (since international aid leaves them free to starve their subjects and instead spend everything on their military), that's far from what Huey (and the author) were claiming and it'd be pretty hard to argue that the Americans should've cut all aid and let hundreds of thousands of uninvolved civilians die-easily preventable deaths instead.
** The strip immediately prior also had Huey claim that the Reagan administration "trained" Osama bin Laden and gave him "countles" funds. [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allegations_of_CIA_assistance_to_Osama_bin_Laden This is is considered]] at best DatedHistory, at worst always a fringe ConspiracyTheory. As of the 2020s, there's still no evidence to support any of the claims regarding collaboration between U.S. government agencies and bin Laden. The most that can be argued (and is still unproven) is that his group (which represented less than 1% of the rebels fighting the Soviets) might have come across some of the funding third-hand (the Americans funneled it through Pakistan, who then funneled it through Afghan rebel groups, who could sometimes funnel it to foreign volunteers like bin Laden's Arabs). Even this is unlikely though, as bin Laden's group was self-funded. As for the training claim, no one in the American government ever even set foot in Afghanistan, much less trained one obscure band of foreign volunteers.
