** Speaking of, the lack of VomitIndiscretionShot in a GrossOutShow is, one assumes, a Y7-rating related issue. Which didn't stop the show doing an episode revolving around a puking spree (including Abbey puking for canonically the first time in her life), which made the Discretion thematically somewhat unfortunate.

* CoolPet: Hermes, who is cute and incredibly smart, even serving as Lab Rat's assistant on occasion.

While being forced to breathe methane until his body adapted to it did most of the work, he was still being driven by the desire to be seen as superior to Abby[[note]]After a number of incidents in the two-parter where she'd unintentionally one-upped him[[/note]]. [[spoiler: Abby telling him YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre is what finally brings him back to the side of good.]]

* AmbiguousDisorder: While their actions can easily be passed off as typical CartoonishSupervillainy at first glance, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that a lot of the villains in the show seem to show signs of having mental disorders, as a lot of them exhibit extreme [[NoSocialSkills antisocial behavior]] and act [[TheSociopath borderline psychotic]], sometimes due to [[FreudianExcuse a traumatic event]] that happened to them in the past.
** Insectiva is an antisocial MisanthropeSupreme with an unhealthy obsession towards insects, which she believes are superior to humans.
** Fartor seems to be psychologically messed up from [[BigBrotherBully his brother]] farting on him throughout his childhood to the point of flat-out abuse. He's also very antisocial, to the point where he's perfectly content with [[spoiler: living on the moon]].
** Sloppy Joe HatesBaths despite being an adult and as a result is completely lacking in personal hygiene to a grotesque degree. He also doesn't have any regards for the people around him being affected by his filthiness.
** Lance Boil, V.K., and the Scab Fairy display signs of [[{{Narcissist}} Narcissism]].
** Mr. Fowler displays delusional thoughts, is neurotic, and has a hatred and fear of pigeons.
** Dr. Cornelius Colon suffered bullying in school which has turned him into a sociopath who is only friends with giant tapeworms.
** Chester is introverted, moody, and has a psychotic infatuation with Abby which manifests through his Kid Rot alter-ego.
** Basso Profondo stuffs himself with food to the point of morbid obesity (likely as a coping mechanism after falling out of stardom), refuses to share food, [[ItsAllAboutMe has no consideration for the people around him]], and unlike the other villains, his gimmick has very little to do with his backstory and one could wonder where he even got his affinity for burping from, whether it'd be a closet burping fetish or some other reason. He's also completely oblivious to how disgusting he is to other people (barring [[{{Fanboy}} Mr. Archer]]) and displays some narcissistic traits.
** Gary Gumdrop is an AxCrazy psychopath with no regard to oral health, to the point where his teeth have completely rotted.

* RapunzelHair: Abby's hair is not only incredibly long, but very large and is often somewhat distracting.

* AdultFear: Yes, Ty and Abby are very good at their job as Grossologists. But the majority of their opponents are adults [[WouldHurtAChild who pull no punches]] and both siblings have been kidnapped at least once each, with Ty's kidnapping by Fartor outright involving BrainwashedAndCrazy.

* {{Meganekko}}: Petunia Archer (Season 2) and Naomi are both shy-natured girls who are treated as quite pretty, glasses and all.

* NamedAfterTheInjury: Roger is called Pinkeye by his peers because of his [[EyeScream bacterial conjunctivitis]]. He is [[EmbarrassingNickname not the least bit pleased about it]].

Loosely based on author Sylvia Branzei's series of children's non-fiction books and educational games of the same name, '''''Grossology''''' is a Canadian animated {{Edutainment}}/GrossOutShow from Creator/{{Nelvana}} that follows the adventures of [[BrotherSisterTeam siblings]] Ty and Abby Archer, [[TeenSuperspy teenage secret agents]] with iron stomachs and a love of all things nauseating. The two work as "grossologists" for the titular Department of Grossology, a secret government bureau that handles all the problems that everyone else doesn't want to get anywhere near. Namely villains that have anything and everything to do with bodily fluids and excretions, weird medical issues, and unnerving organisms like parasites. Helping our field agents out are [[TheSmartGuy Lab Rat]], whose anxiety and dislike of bathing keep him even leaving the laboratory, and [[PointyHairedBoss The Director]], who probably got KickedUpstairs considering his poor constitution in the face of even the more mundane crime scenes.
