Hm. If I DO finally decide to stop stalling and touch up the spelling in this, then by comparason HHC MIGHT be... kind of a let down of a spiritual successor so far? I mean, HHC is doing most of what I like about SJAHJ (confusing plot, crossover dictated by Author Appeal, never truly took itself seriously, original Sburbless world) without anything I regretted (no Elitaa, no long and boring troll conversations, the ancestors are COMPARATIVELY more unique, alts have a bit more depth), but its story is way too focused on ship teasing and the Hotter And Sexier elements get creepy even by parody standards at times. Plus the plot hardly goes anywhere until halfway through the story, whereas in SJAHJ it's lightning quick. Hm....

I found this trope a looooong time ago, then forgot about it until very recently.

Just in case I haven't hammered in the fact that this comic isn't Happy Gifset-esque Trolls and Kids Goofing Off Rave Party Town enough... (I didn't know I already had this trope on here, so I'm kinda akwardly merging a tweak of what I had on a sandbox with what's already there.)

Alright I have these sitting in the YMMV Sandbox, taking up space. I'm gonna move some of them here so I can finally cut them. Also I may be exaggerating in the addition to Black And Gray Morality...

I meant to add this last edit but I forgot to.

Thinking back I probably should have had at least one shot of the background alts as canon-sprite edits, so that it will look more like John/Jade/Jane/Jake's dreams.

One thing I DO like about this in hindsight was how the characters and plot just ''work'' when they're split off into groups, something I've been trying to imitate for HHC but it comes across as certain people just getting shoehorned into the scene. One example is where Jake starts hitting on Jade; even though they were fighting Dirk and Roxy prior and were aided with their alternate selves, they left the scene with their rivals being pushed by them... only for said rivals to end up getting killed by eachother, leaving them alone. And Jade and Jake being alone in the scene really helped gave the feel that Jade was more screwed over. Also the arc inside Kanaya's dreams worked out well too; characters woke up just when they would be too extrainious to the situation, and had reasons for it. (IE Kanaya deciding not to listen in on John and Jenn's feelings jam, and in turn missing out on Roxy's following invasion and actions.)

Just to get this out of the way. Moving from the Sandbox.

Not sure how much this trope fits the Lalondes, Striders, and Harleys, but I'm pretty sure there's SOME trope to examplify how f'd up these guys are.
