[[http://www.illwillpress.com/ Neurotically Yours]] (the title comes from 'Writer's Block,' in which Germaine signs her poem Neurotically Yours after going insane) is an online cartoon series created, animated, starring, voiced by, and generally fueled by Jonanthan Ian Mathers (also known as J.I.M). Episodes are one to three minutes long and feature an ongoing storyline with some CharacterDevelopment for the lead characters (generally Germaine and sometimes Foamy, since the other characters tend not to learn anything from their mistakes - ever), while the rest feature hyper-aggressive, comically exaggerated rants by Foamy about various annoyances and what he considers to be the stupidity of humans.

* AnAesop: The creator drops some not so subtle scenes over how Germaine is sexually treated by people in general. Examples include random jizz shots on her for no reason, a stalker who keeps objectifying her, objectifying herself, etc. Eventually, Germaine snaps and is sent to an asylum to recover. The whole point behind the increasing sexual scenes is to show how most men look at and treat women like sexual objects while society pressures women into becoming an ideal beauty for men to appreciate (slim body and large breasts and butt). The author has also pointed out that even though Germaine is a cartoon character, people on the internet still looked at her for their own sexual fantasies, proving his point on how women of any kind are treated.

* Fan Mail: Foamy hates it but is forced to answer it. For the first few episodes, Foamy is friendly and excited,but undergoes a CreatorBreakdown, during which he burns his set. He gradually recovers, now just spending the fan mail segments insulting his letter-writing fandom.

* TalkingToHimself: J.I.M. voices all male characters (whether they're squirrels, record-store employees or tofu,) on the show with a modified voice (the only exception being the aforementioned nameless record store worker from 4-Y Records, his voice is JIM's [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6BqRGlVYkk&feature=player_embedded real voice]]) so its obvious this trope would come up.

* OffModel: Became apparent once the series began to be published on Website/YouTube, but the reboot arc makes the problem more apparent. Tas the colors of the characters are washed out, making Germaine and other human characters look extremely pale. This is due to how Website/YouTube encodes and compresses videos uploaded to the site (the series started out in flash format, which doesn't lose quality when uploaded), which is most likely the reason that JIM started to reupload the entire series from episode one onwards, one by one, in 1080p format in order to retain the original quality.

* FlatCharacter: Mutie is just [[GagBoobs ludicrously big-breasted]] [[MsFanservice eye candy]] put in DVD-exclusive episodes to [[{{Fanservice}} entice horny guys]] [[SchmuckBait into buying the [=DVDs=]]].
** [[WordofGod Foamy also explained]] in "Foamy Fan Mail XIII" the entire "Mutie" arc was supposed to be [[SpoofAesop about how breasts are useless]].
* GagBoobs: At some point during her weight gain Germaine stopped getting fat like a normal person, and the weight all went to her breasts. Each one is now larger than her head, and they literally hang down to her waist, unobstructed by anything so realistic as a protruding belly.
** There was also that one spell Foamy cast much earlier in the series. Poor Germaine was bedridden by the size of her boobs.
*** Referenced in "A Change of Heart" where Foamy (in the rebooted arc) tells Germaine about the book and then a ring that allows the user to enlarge their breasts at will. Germaine orders the ring and alternates between blowing up her breasts and shrinking them down to normal size while Anchovie watches through a window before [[YourHeadASplode his head explodes from too much pleasure and excitement when Germaine goes for massively huge boobs]].

* TheVoiceless: [[CuteMute Mutie]]

* WhamEpisode: "Previous Owner", which gives us a glimpse at who will likely be the series' first villain (an asexual hermaphrodite who wants to kill Foamy for getting him/her in trouble with "evil spirits"). Oh, and Foamy destroys Germaine's medication, so her previously hinted at SanitySlippage will likely become an issue.

* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: In "Reboot Button," Foamy mentions he's had 632 owners over a 400 year lifetime and has granted the reboot button to only three other owners after offering it to Germaine. He let the others self-destruct from their own stupidity.
** The ones that didn't self-destruct were destroyed by someone else (in fact, Foamy spent a significant portion of Germaine's allotted ten years on the fence about whether or not she deserved the Reboot Button; the episode ''opens'' with Germaine complaining about getting shot at, and Foamy offhandedly griping about incompetent assassins).

* YouAreWhatYouHate: Germaine in the classic series is this full stop. She hates how women are treated as nothing but sexual objects by men and how women are pressured to dress up in more provocative clothing, yet Germaine has no problem using her own sexuality to manipulate men or allowing herself to become a slut while [[HypocriticalHumor still complaining about how men are pigs.]]
** It's taken a step further with [[spoiler: her magic breast control ring during her delusions. Representing her becoming nothing more than a pair of breasts to be used to her advantage.]]
* YourHeadASplode: What happens to Anchovie in "Lewd Lingerie" after he can't take any more of Germaine's sexual teasing.
** And again in "A Change of Heart" when [[spoiler: Germaine uses a magic breast size controlling ring to make her breasts gigantic.]]

* BareYourMidriff: Germaine once she started to gain weight and her clothes were not fitting properly. She dips in and out of the trope in the reboot series.

* {{Gainaxing}}: In the reboot, Germaine's breasts bounce every time she talks.

* TheMeanBrit: Begley in some of his appearances (his catchphrase is "Wanker!")

* DeadpanSnarker: Germaine and Foamy, UpToEleven. Mammed Udi also became this when he was fired from his tech support job and now doesn't really care about the problems of his customers in his odd jobs as long as he gets paid for it.

* MotorMouth: Foamy often talks non-stop, especially in the early episodes. Pilz-E is worse since he [[UpToEleven talks twice as fast as Foamy.]]

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Germaine does after returning from the road. This happens again in the reboot as of "A New You".

* being extremely politically incorrect (making a point to mock acceptable and unacceptable targets equally);

[[spoiler: It turns out that the chocolates were never ''filled'' that way, they were just normal chocolates that had melted a little in the mail. it was just her delusion about Anchovy making her think they were contaminated.]]

* EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys: The shocky monkey who hits Mammed Udi when he doesn't work fast enough.

* {{Asexuality}}: Foamy has absolutely no interest in finding someone to love and gets annoyed when Germaine asks him if he finds some girls that she knows as hot (mostly because the girls are human and Foamy is a squirrel). Foamy knows it's perfectly normal for people to fall in love and to lust after each other, but he feels people are too caught up in their sexuality and make a big deal out it.

** EvilPlan: Said scheme has recently been elaborated on in Foamy's character bio from the official website, and it is CrazyAwesome. Direct quote: ''"He lives with Germaine, his goth chick owner, as her unassuming pet... when in reality, he's plotting to enlighten the world through infallible logic and enforce that logic with an army of robots created from discarded automatons and the brains of his former dead owners. [[LampshadeHanging Crazy, no?]]"''

** "Squirrel Advice (HD)" reveals Germaine is a bisexual and has been trying to get together with another girl in her modeling class that is fat, a fetish that Germaine has.

* StopBeingStereotypical: Foamy and Germaine have called out The Hatta on the trope, noting how he acts like a [[{{Flanderization}} flanderized]] caricature of his race. The Hatta brushes the accusations off by claiming people are just being racist to him.

* AbortedArc: The storyline involving Germaine bettering her life and getting a scholarship so she could go to college never fully developed thanks to the series getting a reboot. It was implied, however, that Germaine still did sexual favors to strangers and the Reboot episode had Foamy state that Germaine's life in the future was going to be ''worse'' than it was in the past 10 years.

* ACupAngst: Yes and no. Germaine for a long time was quite busty, but recently had breast reduction surgery. At first she was pleased that her back was feeling better and she wasn't being harassed as much. When she realized that she wasn't getting free stuff anymore she seemed a bit down, but was still okay with her decision. Then Foamy pointed out that without her huge breasts, Germaine would likely no longer get massive tips at Starshmucks, and she had a massive "oh fuck" moment. [[spoiler: The whole issue is resolved one episode later, when she gets a magic ring that allows her to grow her breasts to whatever size she wants at will.]]

* BloodBath: An early short with Germaine getting attacked by the Ghostface Killer from the ''Franchise/{{Scream}}'' movies ends with Germaine continuing her bath in the killer's own blood while his body is seen hanging from the ceiling in the background.
