The pirates seem to have left [[spoiler: Ace's]] body behind (for obvious reasons - I doubt that Akainu will let anyone pick it up). So they'll leave - but remember how insistent Akainu was about Luffy's death? And with the damage done here they might decide to make a new unit. Who better to hunt down the one who exacerbated the damage so than the one who knows him the best? [[supersecretspoiler: Robo-Ace; Luffy's attachment will serve as a grand weak point.]]

** Did you see his face after [[spoiler: Ace dies]]? Perfect setup for that... [[supersecretspoiler: Now that it's been thought of, Oda will do something even more different/awesome.]]

We know there are other CP units besides CP9. Perhaps one of those units isn't currently engaged in covert ops, and could have been enlisted by the Marines beforehand to strike Whitebeard's most important crewmates when they least expect it.

* I'd like to expand on my idea: in this world, food and flirting are related. Sanji makes food, and it's somehow related to winning girls. Luffy is a huge lech - he greedily accepts and eats food, and it's a huge kink. Big eaters are big perverts. And they're not fish people: Fish people are figh people, not people people. No, people people in OnePiece swim in the air, or burrow underground.

* FridgeLogic response to the above point about Decken's targeting power being too similar to Usopp's sniping skills: (1) both Zoro and Brook are swordsmen of respectable skill, but Zoro is the crew's "official" swordsman; (2) both Franky and Brook are musicians (Franky plays a guitar), but Brook is the crew's "official" musician; (3) both Sanji and Nami are excellent cooks (as revealed in one of the short OnePiece TV specials), but Sanji is the crew's "official" cook (since Nami charges exorbitant fees for her meals anyway); (4) both Franky and Usopp have degrees of knowledge of carpentry, but Franky is the crew's "official" shipwright since Usopp's carpentry skills suck. And, too, snipers are snipers because they ''shoot'' at things, which Usopp does...but we have yet to see Decken shoot anything (be it with a gun, slingshot or any other weapon that fires projectiles) with aid from his Target-Target fruit ability; he's only used his power to throw things so far.

And just to further the [[BuffySpeak Wild Mass Guessiness]], it will need Blackbeard's Yami-Yami Fruit in order to work (thus explaining why the World Government didn't activate it themselves, and why Blackbeard wanted the Fruit so badly), will serve to [[AmplifierArtifact amplifiy]] those same powers, will be shaped like a [[PowerFloats floating]] [[FreudWasRight black tower]], and it will be named Zeus.

This will also set Ace up as [[SiblingRivalry Luffy's future rival for Pirate King]].

In addition to the contradictory way Iva talks ("I-- I'm-- ''I WON'T DIE!''") , it's implied that s/he might have turned a king into a woman against his will, as demonstrated with his vengeful son who immidiately took on a girly attitude after becoming female ("Kyaaa~, I'm so embarassed!"). Being a [[RockyHorrorPictureShow Dr. Frank N. Furter expy]] doesn't help.

We've already seen post-timeskip Aokiji (back to Kuzan) and Akainu. Their facial features are quite similar, except the blind man looks fittingly older. The wounds that gave him the scars on his eyes aren't what blinded him; it was the close range to his extremely bright light attacks. As for the massive crushing force, remember what Kizaru said at Saobody? "Speed is weight..."
* I think he showed up in the Z movie though...? I'm not sure, I'm watching a terribly bootlegged (and unsubbed) version. Although, at the very least, I support this as an AU.

Let's face it, they look incredibly similar, use a sword-cane, gamble a lot, and have violent reactions to being cheated. It's pretty much a no-brainer that he's BASED off of Zatoichi; thus, he's probably named after him too.
* Jossed. The blind man's name is Issho, and his alias is Fujitora. Neither have to do with 'low-ranking blind person Ichi' which is what Zatoichi means (His name is Ichi, his title is Zato-no-Ichi, or Zatoichi for short)

In the form of a person who's just an arm, bonus points if due to some devil fruit he has bird like features.

Pretty noticeable. She in the present is shown to be able to turn Nami, Momonosuke, Chopper, Brook and Sunny into toys. It was mentioned in the recent chapter that the living toys were once human and that one of Doflamingo's subordinate has a Devil Fruit that did it.
* Doesn`t Jora`s devil fruit turn people into art not toys though?
** Yes, Jora turns people into her own demented form of art, not toys. The manga made it clear that there was a separate - and as of yet, unknown - Devil Fruit user from Jora that was responsible for turning people into toys.

Whatever Garp did to him will be revealed, and it turns out to be something that can just be talked through, given the chance. Being such a great judge of character and a charming type overall, Luffy manages to get to Chinjao and befriend him, after which he will throw the fight.
* Jossed. He ''does'' fix his problem, after a fashion... but the end of the fight was nothing but diplomatic.

Related to the above, there was once a love triangle between the two men and a beautiful woman - Luffy's grandmother. Garp won, naturally, which Chinjao never got over.

"That man" is Ace. He wants to bury the fruit at Ace's grave. This also explains the history between him and Luffy.

"That man" that he wants the Mera Mera no Mi for is Dragon to give to one of his comrades. His "close links with Luffy" are that he's friends with his Dad. Rumours of his cruelty have been widely exaggerated because they've come through Government channels (maybe the 'civilians' he killed were CP agents) and he's so dismissive of the Coliseum crowd because they come from such a corrupt society.
* Jossed. He is just a pirate [[spoiler:who looks up to Luffy(-senpai) since the Logue Town arc]].

[[WMG: Bon Kurei was KilledOffForReal]]
Even though nobody dies in One Piece, odds are Oda won't show him alive again. He was facing Magellan, whom even Luffy can't beat, and the entire guard of Impel Down; and he's done a lot of fighting already. The scenes with the den-den mushi and the words of the "Okama Way" song look like the manga version of a ReallyDeadMontage.
* Lalala~ Can't hear you T___T Although, I have to chokingly admit, that a part of her feels that anything except for death would feel like a cop-out, and she is furiously trying to smother that part.
** Ah, but [[spoiler: it was revealed later on that * probably* the Blackbeards beat the crap out of Magellan, so who knows about ol' Mr. 2 now]]?
*** Then that means that Bon-chan is stuck on an island with no escape (he can't open the gate for himself) trapped with hundreds of marines. Best case scenario is he's disguised as a guard until he gets some (pretty unlikely) help, Or escapes while disguised as a guard.
*** I would love to see some sort of filler episode where Bon Kurei escapes Impel Down with the captured New-Kama disguised as Magellan and Impel Down guards.
* Jossed in one of the From the Decks of the World manga covers, he's still alive and has apparently become the new queen of New-Kama land.


[[WMG: Doflamingo's Devil Fruit power isn't what we think it as AT ALL.]]
Doflamingo's power is NOT manipulating people. What we've thought his power is really is King's Haki at its maximum potential. Doflamingo has, most likely do to insane amounts of talent and training, learned not only how to overpower opoonent's wills, but make them do exactly what he wants to. His puppeteer like movement is all an act, and those strings on his fingers are to distract people from what his real Devil Fruit power may be (Something probbably nightmarishly terryfying, I bet). This can also be used to explain his high bounty, as it's unlikely he'd get a 340,000,000 bounty just from being able to control under a dozen people.
** Firstly, high bounties can come from being AxeCrazy, which Doflamingo definately is. Secondly, this is One Piece. There are no weak powers. The guy with the power to push things is one of the more dangerous people around.
*** So Doflamingo used King's Haki to [[spoiler:slice off Oars Jr.'s leg?]]
*** I think the original poster means Doflamingo has a RazorWire fruit still.
* Jossed. His Devil Fruit is proven to be completely responsible for his body manipulation.

Doflamingo ate the Manipulator Manipulator Fruit, or the Japanese word equivalent. His power seems to be able to control people and he moves his hands in fashion that one does to control a marionette, and marionette's puppeteer is called the manipulator. Plus he really likes to manipulate people, organizations and the entire age itself. It just seems to fit.
* Jossed concerning the name, but the powers are right. It's the String-String fruit.
[[WMG: Doflamingo's Devil fruit is the Blood Blood fruit]]
* Which is how he can control other people: he's manipulating the blood in their veins to control their movements like puppets, a la bloodbending from WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender.
** This does not explain how he can run in midair...unless he's controlling his own blood.

Bartholomew Kuma was voluntarily reprogrammed by the WG as a Pacifista, and as Pacifista's are a {{Shout Out}} to the Terminator series, Bon Kurei will be turned into the WG's version of the T-1000!
* It could be possible he could be converted to a Pacifista via their turn-regular-people-into-a-tree-sized-man thing, but not the face of a new model as he doesn't have the reputation or fear-inducing appearence like Kuma does.
** Neither did Robert Patrick. if anything, Bon Clays would be a far more stealthy version after some modifications from Vegapunk; he had two years to create more powerful versions of the Pacifista, who knows what he's capable of doing to Bon Clay? maybe take his power and further it along his shape shifting abilities, maybe be able to change his voice, etc. Vegapunk IS this universes version of Tony Stark, after all.
** Jossed. Bon Kurei still has all of his free will intact and no apparent machine powers. He's in hiding in Impel Down 5.5, rebuilt and back into secrecy.

*** But what if Bon-Chan killed one of the members and took their image when they got up to where he and Magellan were fighting. Maybe Magellan redirected his attack on Blackberad and in the midst of the battle and Bon-Chan knew his only way of getting out was to kill a member. Total BS I know, but this IS WMG
*** Possible, if we're following the speculation that Blackbeard Pirates vs Straw Hat pirates as an even factor, the Straw Hats either need one more or Blackbeards need one less.

[[WMG: Arlong will become a Warlord of the Sea]]
The World Goverment will forcibly upgrade him to a fishman Pacifista, then send him to kill Jinbe, giving them control over Fishman Island. If he succeeds, they make him a Warlordin order to have a reason to place Marines on Fishman Island.

* They already have the Kuma Model Pacifista; would they go to the extra effort of taking months or even years to modify someone completely new, who probably isn't even as strong as Kuma originally was?

* 1: It's never been established what happened to him after he was beaten by Luffy
* 2: He fits with the AnimalMotifs of the other Shichibukai
* 3: His main motivation is to not get chased by the Marines, which could easily be accomplished by becoming a Shichibukai.
* 4: He's a likely candidate for MagikarpPower due to not yet having a Devil Fruit. Unlike [[JokeCharacter Alvida]], he actually possesses some legitimate fighting skills to build off of (having developed his own rudimentary form of [[FlashStep Soru]] without any prior knowledge of Rokushiki) as well as the intellect necessary to [[WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer make the most of a Devil Fruit Power]]. With enough practice and/or a complementary Devil Fruit Power he could conceivably evolve into a FragileSpeedster-type fighter.
* Well, the thing is, Kuro is unlikely to be the next Warlord because he has no drive to be a pirate. Remember, he wanted to escape piracy and be rid of his bounty. The last thing he would probably want is to have to endure the difficulty of becoming one of the world's strongest pirates, be hunted down by Marines, and then have to earn his right to be a Warlord (and then have other ''pirates'' coming for his head rather than Marines).

[[WMG: Jewelry Bonney will become the next Warlord of the Sea ]]
She just got captured by the World Government, but I bet she'll be offered the position and will attempt to use it to get vengeance on Blackbeard
* Why exactly would you hire someone who had her entire crew utterly defeated by him into yout elite unit?
** Moria got his [bottom] kicked by Kaidou before he became a warlord, so being beaten by the best clearly does not disqualify you.

[[WMG: Bon Kurei will escape Impel Down with Blackbeard's crew]]
There's no way he's dead. Someone as noble as that can't just die. And having him stay in Impel Down indefinitely would be too unjust a fate for someone so selfless. But Blackbeard an co. are still there and about to leave, providing a convenient way for anyone left behind to still make it to safety. Bon-chan could either convince them to take him with them or simply take the place of one of the people in Blackbeard's entourage with his DF ability.
* Bon being alive is also strongly hinted at in the latest chapter, when Luffy himself exclaims to a disinterested Buggy that he could be okay.
** Alternatively, he'll become the next Ivankov, spending his days merrily partying away with other inmates in Level 5.5.
*** I highly doubt that, cause Mallegan said he'll kill him, as there's no way he'll back down from that, after everything that has happened, unless Bon Kurei escaped. Though there's a possibility that Impel Down will search for how the prisoners where vanishing and reappearing from. So the only way Bon Kurei would survive, if somebody saves him, namely a guy who can disable Devil Fruit powers, and a person who knows Mallegan very close.
*** In the most recent chapter, Magellen was found beaten to near death, his assailaint missing. It sounds like Bon Clay (Kurei, whatever) might show back up again.
* The Blackbeard Pirates showed up at the war site, minus Bon Clay, so...
* Confirmed. It wasn't elaborated on how he escaped, but in one of the From the Decks of the World manga covers, he's still alive and has apparently become the new queen of New-Kama land.
* JOSSED. Chapter 666's cover shows that Bon Kurei is the new queen of Newkama Land: Impel Down 5.5.

[[WMG: Gladius is the one who turns Doflamingo's enemies into toys.]]
That's why his elbows are mechanical; he made himself partially into a toy, either accidentally or on purpose.
* Jossed: Sugar is the one with the Hobby Fruit that turns people into toys.

[[WMG: The winner of Block D is Meadows.]]
The named competitors are shown knocked out except for Meadows, Acilia, and Rolling Logan. Logan was last seen trying to eliminate Rebecca, and since we see Rebecca fighting later without Logan after him, it can be assumed he's out. Similarly, Acilia seems to be on Rebecca's side, trying to help her win, making it unlikely (but possible) she would win because she has no desire to. This leaves Meadows, who knocked out the remainder of Block D with a Devil Fruit power.

[[WMG: The blind gambler is Kyros.]]
They have about the same look in them.
* Seconded, because that would also neatly tie up two loose threads.
** It's become highly unlikely--with the blind man revealed as Admiral Fujitora, the only way this could work is if he competed in the colosseum many years ago under the pseudonym of Kyros.

Luffy will discover more about Rebecca's backstory and decides that she deserves it more than he does. So he will jump out of the ring, Gomu gomu UFO style, and say that Rebecca won.

Not to say Doflamingo doesn´t have the real one, but why risk having the real one in

It's [[spoiler: Bentham]]. It's actually possible if you think about it. He's somebody that Luffy thought was dead, has possible ties to the revolutionary army through [[spoiler: Iva]], and he could have [[spoiler: made himself look like Luffy,]] explaining why Doflamingo and other in the gladiator arena didn't pick up that Lucy isn't Luffy any more. And although [[spoiler: Sabo]] obviously has more reason to be motivated to [[spoiler: get Ace's devil fruit back, Bentham]] could know how important it was to Luffy and be similarly motivated. Of course there's evidence against this like [[spoiler: we saw Bentham in a chapters cover art having taken over for Iva in newkama land, and his fighting style thus far being different]], but Oda loves to trick people, and it would explain why we still haven't seen his face after all these weeks.

** Or maybe SANJI is somehow related to Doflamingo...
** Doflamingo appeared to be in his late teens or early twenties at the time of Roger's execution. He could be Zoro's father. Zoro could be so protective over Chopper because he sees himself in Chopper, a person without a father figure. So he wants to fulfill that role.
** Jossed. Doflamingo's family is quite well documented as of the latest flashback. Zoro's nowhere in it.

I know that she just appeared, but I got to thinking how there isn't a dancer in the crew. They do dance, yes, but there isn't really anyone who has dancing as their thing. Also, if she ate the Mera-Mera No Mi, it would give her dance-based fire attacks. I also think it's a safe bet that Luffy would rather have a crew member who has eaten his brother's fruit than having the fruit just be randomly somewhere and someone accidentally eating it. [[WMG: One-Legged Soldier will join the Straw Hat Pirates.]]
This is not as insane as it sounds: He apparently has blinding speed, electric powers, and he wields a rifle, a weapon totally unlike any of the other Straw Hats (and it seems to be a hunting rifle, not a sniper rifle, so it doesn't overlap with Usopp). He also has a personality that would meld well with Luffy and the others, a rebellious attitude ALL of the Straw Hats embody in one way or another, and by the end of the arc, he may get a new leg, making him a Peg-Legged Soldier...or Peg-Legged Pirate. And a proper name. Besides, it'd be really cool to have a member of this new Toy race become a main character. In any case, the facts that he gets a name box (for what looks like a random civilian), the box appears an entire ''chapter'' after he's introduced, and a brief meeting with Luffy that could have been skipped without affecting this particular scene suggest that One-Legged Soldier will be important to the story later on. Additionally, I'd like to propose a follow-up WMG:
* Jossed, probably. Considering who he turns out to be, there is no way he's ever leaving Dressrosa again, especially just to become a pirate.

[[WMG: Donqixote will eat the Mera Mera fruit after Luffy wins the tournament just to spite Luffy.]]
Also the Mera Mera fruit will be more powerful than Ace's, meaning when a devil fruit user dies, the fruit that comes back is even more powerful than before.
* If this happens, I could see a reason why, and three possibilities regarding the outcome.
** Donqixote would eat the fruit right after Luffy had beaten him, as a sort of desperate effort to keep Luffy from gaining the fruit or as a sort of TakeThat trying to prove a last point to Luffy that Dreams and Determination don't always win (since one of Donqixote's things seems to be the idea that dreams are for wussies). Then this would result in one of three possible scenarios:
** First, Donqixote already seems to have a Devilfruit power, and people with a power can't consume a second fruit or it kills them. Thus consuming the fruit would be suicide for Donqixote.
** Second, Donqixote eats the fruit...[[FromBadToWorse and somehow gains its powers]] in addition to the ones he already has, [[MegaManning a la Blackbeard.]] This would also reveal how Blackbeard was able to consume a second fruit. Unlikely? Sure, but this is One Piece, and the series has a history of doing what we'd least expect.
** Third, sort of similar to the second one, is that Donqixote's previously displayed powers are somehow NOT the result of a Devilfruit, thus he simply eats the fruit and gains Ace's former powers [[OhCrap in addition to the]] RazorFloss [[OhCrap powers he's used before.]]
* Jossed he ate the Ito Ito No Mi so he can't eat another fruit.

[[WMG: Letter for Luffy]]
It's pretty obvious that Robin met [[spoiler: Dragon]] over the time skip, but what about [[spoiler: Sabo (assuming he's still alive)]]? If they met, I could see [[spoiler: Sabo]] wanting to give Robin a message to Luffy for him (through letter or otherwise) in the New World, but not before because he doesn't want to distract him with the fact that [[spoiler: the brother he thought was dead for ''years'' is still alive and kicking]] while making the dangerous voyage through Fishman Island.
* Very improbable, if you recall just what happened to [[spoiler:Sabo in Luffy's flashback]]. And [[spoiler:him being alive]] would nullify Luffy's whole motivation, which I doubt Oda would do.
** If you recall, there was very strong hinting in both the manga and anime that [[spoiler: he survived, and Dragon and that co. saved him]].
* I think it's confirmed in some data book that Sabo is definitely dead.
*** "Sabo" may be dead, but that still leaves multiple other possibilities, like amnesia, or mind control, or like they did with Kuma
* As of chapter 731, [[spoiler: Luffy meets up with someone who is heavily implied to be Sabo and freaks out about how he thought he was dead. His Celestial Dragon parents were constantly executing people for anything they perceived as a failure, as we have seen Celestial Dragons do at Sabaody and at Goa, and Doflamingo had to stand and watch all of this happen. Over time, he grew sickened of it and [[DefectorFromDecadence defected from nobility]] to become the pirate leader he is today. One of his key characteristics that sets him apart from other villains is that he cares greatly for his underlings provided they at least tried to do what he asked them to do, even if they didn't succeed. He wants to be King of the Pirates so that he can create a world where he'll never have to see You Have Failed Me again.

By contrast, Doflamingo is a man who doesn't believe in dreams (though he seems to be a little more tolerant of the concept than his former subordinate [[JerkAss Bellamy]]), but rather claims that the New Age of Pirates ought to be one where men focus on what is right in front of them instead of chasing dreams that may very well not exist. The only reason the confrontation will be physical at all is once Luffy learns of Doflamingo's connection to Bellamy, or of the fact that [[spoiler:Doflamingo was the owner of the slave-auction house in Saobody Archipelago]].
* Even better, Doflamingo could force Luffy into a situation where attacking him could mean serious trouble (such as Doflamingo holding people hostage with his powers), and the only way Luffy can safely resolve the situation is to get through to Doflamingo at an ideological level.
* Nope. As of chapter 745 the fists are flying, no Bellamy required.


[[WMG: Big Mom is a grown-up Koala]]
I was thinking about how we first saw Dadan in a flashback and then she showed up out of nowhere after we came back to the present. If I'm right, that means that Koala not only learned what really happened that day when she was told that there was no sound, but she became a pirate to get revenge on those who killed the one who brought her home. A crazy guess, I know, but it would be awesome if I was right.

** While Blackbeard was a bastard, he was a bastard that believed wholeheartedly in the power of dreams. Belief in the power of dreams seems to be a characteristic of the Ds. A nihlist like Doflamingo doesn't really fit all that well.
*** Makes sense. Besides, every character that is a D. has had that fact revealed from the first moment their full names were revealed, and that's not the case with Doflamingo.

Something will happen later in the tournament which will lead Luffy to steal the Mera Mera no Mi and escape. He'll be surrounded by Marines, other people in the tournament, and the Donquixote Family, so he'll eat the Mera Mera no Mi to protect it and it turns out, he can use multiple Devil Fruits like Blackbeard.
* Eh, I'd rather know first ''what'' enabled Blackbeard to eat a second fruit, or - to be more contextual - to tap into Whitebeard's power. It's been established that eating a second fruit will make you die, and Blackbeard's case is special, but we haven't seen what's "special" about him.

The four finalists will be Jesus Burgess (confirmed), Lucy, Rebecca, and Cavendish. Lucy will face Cavendish in the first round, blow his cover, and lose either to a technicality or a ring-out by surprise. Cavendish, in turn, will get his butt handed to him by Burgess, who wins the Flame-Flame Fruit. The story then shifts to Luffy and the Straw Hats who find him pursuing Burgess to prevent him from either consuming it himself or giving it to Blackbeard. During this time, Rebecca will assist them because she'll consider Burgess a disgrace to Kyros's legacy.
* Rebecca and Cavendish are in the same block of fighters (D) so one one of them can make it to the finals. your theory still holds up however as long as Cavendish defeats Rebecca. My guess for the finalists are Jesus, Lucy, Bellamy, and Cavendish.
** You're right. Somehow, I thought Lucy was in Block D, with Cavendish in C and Rebecca in B for some reason. Everyone in Luffy's group has split off to do his own thing, however, so it'd also require meeting up with his pals again later on. Looking at the lineup, Block B will most likely come down to Bellamy and Bartolomeo though.
** The finalists are Lucy, Rebecca, Bartolomeo, Burgess, and Diamante.

It'd be too convenient for Luffy to have a logia ally or thwart someone else from eating the fruit, and Blackbeard specifically mentions that "it'll be like having Ace in their crew" which seems like a fairly unsubtle indication of things to come. Plus, it sets up a good match between him and potentially Sanji(a fellow fire using character and martial artist).

[[WMG: Sugar is the real leader of the Toy House.]]
* She's wearing a crown and Trebol is in chains. Perhaps she did something to his mind to put herself in control with her memory manipulation. It would be a classic Oda twist to have the little girl be the real nasty instead of the blob man.
* Jossed. They're both equally nasty, for one thing, and Trebol just has an eccentric fashion sense. If you meant the SMILE factory, it's leader is actually a lesser minion named Kyuin. Trebol and Sugar are just patrolling there due to the invasion.

Thunder Soldier and the Tontattas just put two and two together and guessed that Sugar is responsible for both toy-conversion and memory-wiping. We can take Thunder Soldier to be right about Sugar turning people into toys, as he witnessed it firsthand, but the memory-wiping is indirect, the toys do not feel it happening, and the act seems too disconnected from her power set. Thus, I believe Trébol has a Memory Memory Fruit that allows him to erase and possibly insert memories on a wide scale and that his glop-like appearance is just him being a slob. Trébol is in charge of the Special Powers division of the Doflamingo Pirates, so he must have bizarre, non-combat powers himself, but that he's their leader means he can weaponize the powers he has. I would also bet that Trébol has the ability to ''insert'' memories too--together, it would make for an incredibly dangerous Devil Fruit ability even in the hands of someone with no physical ability to fight.

[[WMG: Doflamingo won't be the main antagonist of the Dressrosa arc.]]
It's actually [[spoiler: Violet/Viola. She is manipulating both sides (StrawHeart Alliance and Donquixote Family) into wiping each other out. Or rather, wiping out Doflamingo, Riku, Toy Soldier, and Rebecca. With King Riku out of the way, Rebecca would be the next in line for the throne; her or her father. However everyone has forgotten that the Toy Soldier is her father - but Viola knows because she's been watching the Dwarf and Toy Soldier plan with her special eyes, as she said. With Riku, her niece, and brother in law out of the picture, Viola would be the next in line for the throne. But there's still Doflamingo. Hence why she ditched Sanji (telling him the Sunny was under attack by fighting fish when it wasn't), shooting the screen with Rebecca on it, and then letting Luffy, Zoro, and Kin into the palace to topple Doflamingo.]]

When you think about it so far the second half of the manga's BigBads have been essentially a litmus test showing how far Luffy has come, he's beaten up pretty easily what was essentially Arlong on steroids, he easily wiped the floor with a logia user thanks to Armaments Haki, and now he's facing a Warlord, Crocodile and Moria were two of the most difficult bad guys he had to defeat and the whole reason he asked his crew for that two years of training was because they were powerless in front of Kuma. Doflamingo will be the culmination of all his hard work. It will prove he's ready for the New World.

Ok my theory is this, from the tiny flashback we know Law was dying and he had previously said Corazon saved his life, so I'm guessing that Crozaon used the Ope Ope power to heal Law and was the one who taught Law his medical expertise. I'm guessing that Corazon was Doffy's voice of reason, eventually he went too far, most likely when he used birdcage, and when Corazon protested, he killed him. This caused Law to take a bite of the newly reformed Ope Ope No Mi and become the new user of the power and swore revenge on Doflamingo.
* Jossed as of chapter 764. Corazon used the Nagi Nagi no Mi, so it is impossible for him to have used the Ope Ope no Mi.

[[WMG: Rocinante will die by eating the ope ope no mi]]
* The first part of Law's past had a similarity to Robin's, but the part where he went along with Corazon is rather similar with Chopper. Chopper's called monster and Hiluluk was as silly as Corazon. We know eating two DF would destroy someone. It's Dofla's original plan, and seeing how Hiluluk actually died... My guess is Corazon was in a situation where he can't refuse Doffy's order to eat the fruit. Without any choice, he ate the fruit knowing well it would meant his death, but not before asking Law to prepare another fruit. With his death as a distraction, Ope-ope's transferred to another fruit and Law ate it right away.
* He's already got a devil fruit power, but as things are, it doesn't look like he'll be able to deliver it to Law. That, and the fact that Law is in no condition to cure himself, means that Rocinante will have to eat it, live just long enough to use the eternal life thing, and then explode.
** No. Doflamingo will force him to eat it. He doesn't know about Nagi Nagi.

This is related to an earlier WMG "Sanji and Doflamingo will fight". Where this one is concerned, for one thing, we don't know anything about Sanji's family or relatives prior to his back-story on the cruise ship when he met Zeff. Doflamingo's about the right age to be Sanji's dad, or at least an uncle or some other type of relative, and (according to the other WMG) the two have certain character dynamics that make Doflamingo a perfect EvilCounterpart to Sanji.
* Seeing how Doflamingo actually valued his family, jossed. Unless he didn't know Sanji's actually his son or something.

[[WMG: Doflammino is really Corazon]]
Not exactly sure how this would play out, but everything we have been seeing points to Mingo being a horrible person and Corazon being opposite. However this is One Piece so there is some twist on this coming. My guess is that Mingo was a good person, Corazon was the sadistic evil sociopath..at some point Corazon tricked Law, or the previous user of the Op-Op Fruit, into switching the two's personality then killed Doflamingo(who was in Corazon's body)

Considering the last whereabouts of Kanjuro is the House of Toys, he has most likely been turned into a toy. Horsey has suddenly been introduced as Violet's steed and has remained completely silent. Considering those who oppose Doflamingo are turned into toys, this means he used to be a human at some point. Horsey's total cooperation with Sanji and Violet suggests he still harbors a grudge.
** Wouldn't the others have forgotten all about him, then?

If Doflamingo really did what Law is claiming, then a lot of his previous statements and actions are not going to make sense. The possibilities of what REALLY happened are endless: He could have faked his death, or be comatose, or even have amnesia. Either way, it's very unlikely that what Law thinks happened and what actually DID happen are going to match up 100 percent.
* Jossed, Corazon is killed by Doflamingo.

[[WMG: Dragon is Gol D. Roger's brother]]
This would explain Dragon's reason for leading the Revolutionary Army, because he didn't know about Roger's fatal disease or even if he does, still blames the World Government anyway. If you look at them, they are very similar, with the same skin tone in the anime and their hair looks overwhelmingly similar. Whatever their story is, Dragon and Roger are brothers.
* That doesn't explain why they have different last names (Monkey and Gol). Maybe they're cousins.
** Plus, Garp would surely have known if his nemesis Roger was his son.
* Another possiblity is that Roger is Garp's brother. As for the difference in surnames, they could easily be half-brothers (same mother, different fathers), or one of them could have chosen to use there mother's surname instead of their father's, (as Ace did).
* Probably jossed from overwhelming evidence. It's been stated many times in canon that Luffy is not related to Ace by blood in any fashion. If they were cousins, it would have been mentioned by now, certainly before Ace's death. Also, Dragon being Roger's brother would make Garp Roger's father, and we've seen that they were clearly around the same age during their fighting days 20 years ago, both appearing as middle aged men. Unless Garp was actually ''really'' older than he looked and Roger was ''really'' younger than he looked, it's highly unlikely that Roger could be Garp's son, and by extension, Dragon's brother.

[[WMG: Whatever Usopp's "Lying Power" actually is, he got it from his mother.]]
The both of them have the same "Pinocchio" nose, which hints that Usopp's mother has a similar lying personality. However, she later suppressed this trait when one of her lies came true and caused serious problems and later grew deathly ill from the guilt. It is also a hidden reason for her to tell a young Usopp "not to dream"; she doesn't want her son to live with the pain of this power.
* Jossed. It's explicitly stated that Usopp started telling lies, specifically about Yasopp returning, to try and cheer his mother up and encourage her to get better. It's very likely that after she died, he continued lying in the same vein as a coping mechanism.

Probably plenty of things to disprove this, but I'll say it anyway. When Roger and Shiki clashed, Roger won because of a change in the weather, which Dragon seems to be able to do. Yeah, he's was shown to have his head chopped off, but bear with me here... although Poseidon turned out to be Shirahoshi, Pluton must be robotic, 'cause they said it has blueprints, right? Well, what if it's a cyborg. Dr Vegapunk (he was said to have built Pluton), made Gold Roger a cyborg (Shiki said in their clash that he had an apocalyptic weapon), and also did.. something to him that stopped him from being killed.. somehow. Then, he became Dragon. All of this is kept beyond top-secret by the WG, to save face (imagine the uproar if everyone knew that the Pirate King was still alive). Yeah, this WMG is probably full of holes, but it's ''too damn awesome'' to not say.
* Pluton was built in Water7 hundreds of years ago, way before Dr Vegapunk's time. And it has been confirmed to be some sort of a warship.
* Jossed, Dragon was present at Gold Roger's execution as shown in the special Chapter 0. They're two separate people.

[[WMG: Don Krieg wiped out Brook's crew.]]
The Rumbar Pirates were attacked with poisoned weapons. To my knowledge, he's the only one to employ such tactics in the series and It'd be just like Oda to pull something like this.
I know, he apparently fled the Grand Line before he got very far in, not to mention the time difference, but weirder things have happened.
* I think you just countered your own argument there. Don Krieg fled after not getting very far in. Where was Brook's crew wiped out? The Florian Triangle. A stone's throw away from the Red Line. If they had made it that far, I doubt Don Krieg would have turned around and fled all the way back to the East Blue.
* Not to mention that Brook's Crew was wiped out some 50 years Before the series happens, Krieg probably wasn't even born then.
* I'd say we can count this Jossed. Too much evidence against it for it to ever be true.

Probably it's the old 3D2Y or it's something similiar like Ace. ASL maybe? We never see him without his sleeves since timeskip, after all.

She thinks those kidnapped children as her own. She acted good to them (as the children themselves said) not because she's putting up a front, but because she's genuinely love them (in a disturbing way) and wished them to returned those feelings back. She gave them medicine so they get addicted, thus would never leave and always depending on her. Just looked at her reaction when those children were rescued. She thought they were taking her children away.
* Jossed. She's passed away now, and there's nothing really to support that she saw the kids as anything but "toys" (she seems to get a genuine kick out of suffering). Furthermore, she personally refers to the children as "the master's precious experiments", states that her "mission" is to protect Caesar and his "experiments", and goes on to [[http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/686/16 mockingly refer to them as her and Caesar's "treasure" with a very obviously insincere smirk on her face]]. As for her seemingly concerned face on the next page, it's also arguable that her despair comes from knowing that Doflamingo will kill her if she fails her mission- hence the reason her last line of the chapter is reiterating the importance of her mission.

Only more advanced, as he can combine them simultaneously. His Jet Walk is Soru (Shave) combined with Geppo (Moonwalk). If he knows other techniques, he can combine those for truly devastating--and New World worthy--effects.

The Thunder Soldier, who we now know is actually the legendary gladiator Kyros, is an original inhabitant of Dressrosa who would have no way to have learned the government's signature martial art. Furthermore, we saw a fairly detailed chronicle of his life from 15 years old up until he was transformed into a toy at 34; no mention of Rokushiki at all, and he fights with a longsword even in present day.

Sanji's masculinity has been tortured in each arc since returning from the transvestite kingdom, why stop now? She will eventually be revealed to be male (either one of Ivankov's former victims or just a REALLY good crossdresser, unlike the okamas so far). We've got him mastering Haki and the Gears, the only improvement left is that he's actually a Logia. Aside from elemental control (missing), his body can completely become rubber, and he appears to manifest this at all times. When you compare this to many of the other Paramecia (like Foxy) whose powers are largely temporary, it's quite different. The fact that he can significantly alter his body also confirms this. As for what element, it's a type of earth power. His body can become as soft as clay or hard as vulcanized rubber. His ability to use Haoshoku Haki is sort of a shock wave effect, as it the ability to harden his body with Haki. In other words, he's using Earth powers that look like/overlap with Haki.
* Jossed. Luffy's Gum Gum Fruit has been confirmed as a Paramecia many times. There are several things that make it ''not'' a Logia. He can't generate limitless amounts of rubber nor move it by itself without force like ''all'' Logias have shown the ability to do. His body can also be hurt by plain blunt attacks (Lucci, anyone?), which is major evidence against him being Logia; even solid Logias like Aokiji's ice and Crocodile's sand aren't hurt by plain blunt attacks, they don't even feel them. Also, there are other Paramecias that are permanently "on" at all times, like Buggy's Chop Chop fruit (after all, he can't "turn off" his body splitting up when it gets cut, as shown when Mihawk cut him by surprise).

Not as they're typically understood, but maybe a plant-type Zoan. Maybe something like the Tsuru Tsuru (Vine Vine) no Mi Model: Rubber. The reason he can extend parts of his body is because he has "awakened" his fruit, like Marco and the Impel Down guards.

This could explain why he hasn't killed the Straw Hats yet, because of her link to Zoro. Or maybe Vegapunk brainwashed her into Tashigi.

Luffy has had it all planned out because he's a SGA to capture his father; Garp KNOWS this and only lets it look like he is trying to capture him. You see, being a total ditz, leader of a pirate crew that consists almost completely out of non-adults? Absolutely NO danger. Son of the boss? Yeah, why not, come and meet him, if you want... maybe you'll even live. He's charismatic enough to play it off and because of the previously stated prerequisites he might even be able to get a meeting with Dragon. Chit-chat a bit, wrap him into conversation, and then lure him into a well-laid trap. Bam! Number 1 criminal out of the way. And no one saw it coming.
* Ummm... Luffy has made the World Government look like complete idiots on numerous occasions, and was largely responsible for two of their three most important bases being wrecked to total hell. Granted, the WG's actions tend to be well below genius-level, but that would be a seriously sloppy and self-defeating gambit even for ''them''.
* Jossed. We've seen the Gorosei talk about Luffy in an antagonistic manner even in complete private. Also, Akainu tried to drive a magma fist through his brain. I don't think the Gorosei would authorize that if Luffy was their secret weapon to capture Dragon.\

Rather, they are specifically the result of a human eating the Hito Hito no Mi; if any other creature had eaten it, they would not have the near-indestructible body or ability to launch explosions that Sengoku has.

The problem is, in normal nature, his antlers would fall off annually anyway and he would grow a new set. The only reason he would require that bolt is if the Human Human Fruit took away the ability for him to lose and grow antlers. This would mean he'd be stuck with the current set of antlers he had when he ate it.
* Nope. They still grew after the Timeskip, as seen is his Walk Point.

The body produces electricity, especially the heart. My guess is that Luffy can control his rubber heart muscles in order to enhance electricity production throughout his body and then strike with it. I believe Gear Fourth in general will be similar to Gear Second in functionality (emphasis on speed, so he won't grow any bigger), but with electrical discharge. The massive spike in energy will also make him physically stronger; I don't think he'll swell up in size a la Nightmare Luffy, but his muscles will get ridiculously ripped (along with spiked up hair, because DBZ homage). A basic move, such as a Gum Gum Pistol, will have power comparable to Elizabello's King Punch or ''possibly even stronger''.

Truly, Pell surviving a nuke to the face is one thing, but if Doflamingo is still alive after all ''that'' punishment, he might as well be declared the Pirate King by default. Of course, Luffy killing a villain carries huge, manga shattering implications for the rest of the series... but this is the New World we're talking about.

And as we know, [[spoiler: Law also carries a Will of D, with his real name being Trafalgar D. Water Law. ]]

Fujitora just caught the string (may be anime-only scene), any logia can just disperse, Law probably can teleport away ("parasite" doesn't hinder mental activity or speech)... It seems unlikely that Luffy, resident hypnosis victim, has any special resistance - more probable that Doflamingo just doesn't think this move can be useful against non-fodder.

Nojiko would have been old enough to recognize a pregnancy, and it would just be weird that she'd never think to mention that their mother had given birth within a few months of adopting them.

So far all we know for sure about Law's plans are that he wants to take down one of the yonko. At the end of the end of the Fishman Island Arc it's mentioned by one of Big Mom's crew (can't remember which) that Kid had taken down 2 of their ships. Drake was also seen attacking one of Kaido's islands (and makes it clear that Kaido ids the reason he's doing it). Essentially I think that all of the biggest supernovas Brownbeard mentioned, or at least most of them, are all planning to work together to take down all of the 4 yonko to replace them. At the moment it seems that Big Mom would be their primary target due to being the weakest (she was pressured into making a deal with Luffy because of Kid's attacks).

Lastly, this is just speculative, but... if they both joined, that would make ''four'' sword users in the crew. I think Oda's probably going for more variety with whoever the next main character is; I'd put my money on either a Fishman Karate user (coughJimbecough) or a person with a unique Devil Fruit or weapon (like a scythe or nunchaku or something).

Perhaps Leo (bless his tiny, oblivious heart) will get a clue, and escape with the Strawhats due to sheer embarrassment.

He and Luffy are cool again and he's made a complete change from his loudmouthed, petty, sociopathic JerkAss days, but he's also afraid of his boss, especially now that he failed him again, and seems very nervous about the task that he was given to remain in his good graces (killing Luffy). Also, he's presumably aware of just how much trouble Doflamingo is in and how big of a clusterfuck the Clown affair has become, which means that he has even less to lose and even more of a reason to leave rather than get caught in the inevitable fallout.

Think about it... he is only alive due to sewing his organs together after being gamma knifed. If he is knocked out, the strings will no longer be active and he will die from severe internal bleeding.

** Yeah, except Doflamingo only survived getting his organs fucked up by the Gamma knife by using his Strings to stitch them back together. Besides, This injury is on top of being Red hawked, hit by 5-8 Gear 2 attacks and [[spoiler: getting wrecked by Gear 4, attacks that are likely to be much stronger than Gear 3 since they come at at Gear 2 speed.]] If the bird cage is deactivated, then the Strings holding Doffy's organs are deactivated, causing him to bleed out from the inside. Sure, people have survived things such as haki imbued light speed kicks, Near fatal poisoning, getting frozen in a series where harmless freezing is averted, recoil from a reject dial, getting decked by magma. But remember that the characters still need their organs to survive. [[spoiler: Monet]] died not from getting cut up, but by getting her heart shanked. [[spoiler: Ace]] getting his insides incinerated after getting impaled had a delayed death. Doffy can survive getting his bones broken, but I doubt he can survive having his organs torn apart. Hell, if you look at the most recent chapter, he is barely alive to the point that only one more attack from Luffy will knock him out, undo the stitching, and kill him quite painfully.

They may be grateful for Fujitora's help in protecting the civilians, but whatever feelings for good or ill towards him are going to be tempered by the fact that he's the exception to the rule as far as the Marines go. Following Dressrosa's conclusion the kingdom itself may withdraw from the Government if it's possible to do so, possibly becoming another batch of Luffy's territory like Fishman island.

He strives to defend his kingdom as much as Riku, and is a warrior so he won't fall because of the pacifism that allowed Riku to be manipulated. Plus, his entire arc has been Kyros learning YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre. What better way to exemplify that then to go from hated street thug to revered king.

** Depending on succession laws in Dressrosa (often the older sibling having a child places that child above the younger sibling in the line of succession), it'd be either her or Rebecca, yes. Though that doesn't mean they wouldn't try to crown Kyros regardless.

When Dragon made an appearance after the Dressrosa arc, many people were curious about why he was more interested in Robin than his own son. This got me thinking- when was the Revolutionary army founded, exactly? I think that the Ohara incident might have been the catalyst to make Dragon disillusioned with the world government, after having been apart of the marines, eventually making it to Vice Admiral status, one of the five needed to enact a buster call. After learning about Robin's origins, he likely felt guilt for his role in the incident, and is trying to make it up to her.
Structurally wise, it also makes sense that Oda would have revealed his identity the same arc we learn Robin's backstory, so we the readers would connect them in our heads.
* Wrong and impossible. The Ohara incident happened after Gol D. Roger's execution, during which Dragon was already a criminal. Plus, the reason why he only asked about Robin is because he had already heard plenty enough about Luffy from Sabo.

Sure, it sounds odd what with BB being a dreamer and Doflamingo being not, but notice how they were paling around during the feast at Mariejoa, and how ecstatic Doflamingo got when [[spoiler: Blackbeard came to Marineford]]. The overall goal of the VillainTeamUp is to usher in the New Age in the vein of the strong survive (Judging from [[spoiler: the ID recruitment process]], it's not too hard to say Blackbeard is a Darwinist like Doflamingo is), both of which have wanted to do so. Of course, once they do usher in it, it's just a matter of who stabs who in the back first. Also explains why Doflamingo is/was so persistent in his recruitment of [[spoiler: Crocodile]].
* Jossed. We got a detailed enough look at both their current operations in the Dressrosa Arc (especially Doflamingo's). They don't seem to be working together.

Plus, there's already speculation that Sanji's protectiveness towards women period stems from problems in his childhood that simply haven't been shown yet, and that he just doesn't want to talk about, and would explain why he was apparently without any parental figure for a time while a child. And Doflamingo is a crazy [illegitimate child], and would be a rather epic MoralEventHorizon. And in this arc, Oda took another thing of Sanji's that usually played for laughs (his nosebleeds) and played it seriously, which could be foreshadowing that seemingly funny things about him can have serious consequences and reasons for being there.

Even if Shirahoshi doesn't join as discussed above, I find it hard to believe the Sunny is going to leave Fishman Island without a redesign with the skills Franky picked up from Vega's lab, or whatever technology is found at Fishman Island.

That way they could trick the Straw Hats into believing Nami was somehow transformed, making them investigate the matter further and walk right into a trap.

Rather, Sanji, and probably Brook and Momonosuke, are surrounded by beautiful Mink women. Nami feels strongly about it all, Sanji first and foremost, because Sanji's stopped paying attention to her.
* Jossed. As of this writing, we ''still'' don't know exactly what happened to him; but, both Nami and Brook himself actually assure Luffy that Sanji is in a serious situation.

During the Arlong arc, Sanji notes that Zoro became a "high tempered" person since that "shameful defeat"(Guess what he's talking about.). Craziness has also been mentioned in the context of his character a few times. Finally, his 'asura' attack invokes an (often sinister) Eastern deity whose characterization fits him perfectly: quick to anger and thirsting for power, and whose qualities detract from peace of mind according to Buddhism. With Perona's negative ghosts likely hanging around him a great deal, the next time we'll see him he'll likely be mentally in dismal shape.
* Coby told Zoro, when he was tied up by the marines, that only Luffy could save Zoro and only Zoro could save Luffy. Possible allusion towards both their mental states after this current arc.

* While this would make sense, it's sorta ruined when you learn that Buggy was on a ship just because he wanted to be a pirate. He had no real goal. Usopp has many goals, from becoming a great warrior like his father, to becoming the greatest sniper, to finding the Warrior Paradise. Buggy was really more along for the ride.
** Er - When they reached the Grand Line and did the foot-on-the-barrel oaths, Usopp's was "become a brave warrior of the sea." He wants to do the other things mostly ''for the purpose of'' being a great pirate. He certainly has more depth than that (perhaps by dint of being on Luffy's crew; we don't know much about the dynamic on Roger's), but if you were to give a one-sentence summary of his motivation...
* Usopp is physically the weakest of the Straw Hats, but I'd definitely hesitate to rank him as the least effective combatant. His sharpshooting talent, technological advanced arsenal, and tactical ingenuity make him a good guy to have at your back in a fight. Buggy on the other hand seems to have been just a nobody on Roger's crew.
* Buggy's love of treasure, willingness to rob his own crew, and possession of the Map that lead into the Grand Line suggest that he's something of a dark reprise on NAMI, of all people.
* True but if you look at the Strawhats and say "There's an enemy fleet" who's the most likely to have a freak out?

He's scared of environmental things and forces of nature (angry yonkou must count as this) but he quite happily took on Hordy's forces, even when Hordy himself was on hand to back them up, as well as running back into an army to fight them some more. He's got better.

Smoker is basically a bigger, more mature version of Zoro; he ''might'' have had a deeper connection with Dragon once, judging by their interaction in Logue Town. It will be a heartbreaking way to show friendship being hurt by circumstances or ambition.
* Probably Jossed. Dragon and Smoker were actually both present at Roger's execution; Smoker was just some kid and Dragon was already an adult and wearing revolutionary garb. IntergenerationalFriendship is technically possible but ehhh... that's kind of pushing it.

Jack, in essense, will suffer TheWorfEffect, in that we see just how strong and powerful he is, but he is still no match for the Marines' top brass. Bonus points if it's ''Tsuru'' who defeats him, as she, too, has been hyped to be incredibly powerful, as not only does her very presence send chills down even skilled pirates' spines (and curb-stomps whole groups of them simultaneously with her Devil Fruit powers), it's repeatedly shown that she's the only person on the side of the World Government Doflamingo genuinely fears. Tsuru's Wash-Wash Fruit is a perfect match-up against Jack, as it would allow Tsuru to wash away Jack's thirst for destruction and calm him down.

Giving free speech to the world. It meshes well with Luffy's ideal that "the pirate king is the free'est man in the world". We've seen that, information doesn't really travel well in the world of One Piece. In east blue, there was a lot of mystery about what the grand line really was, and as we saw during the dressrosa arc, the world government totally controls the newspaper. It makes sense that the world government would try to keep a lid on it, even going as far as create a void century to hide it.
What doesn't make sense though, is why Roger wouldn't release it. One possibility is that One Piece can be destroyed, and thus needs to be protected once it's released to the public. Since Roger was dying, he wasn't the ideal man for protecting the One Piece. Knowing this, he instead went through a lot of trouble to set up the ideal circumstances for somebody to take up the mantle.

While Acilia's whereabouts are unaccounted for and I have no explanation, Jean is a bounty hunter and has most likely followed the Thousand Sunny between when he was restored and when the Birdcage went up in order to claim the bounties on Sanji, Brook, Nami, and maybe Chopper. Jean is way out of their league though, and is probably lying bleeding and humiliated somewhere on the Thousand Sunny, on his own ship, or on Zou. What happened during then will be explained in a chapter title page story.

While the latter point remains to be seen if it's true or not, if it is, it's more than possible Raizou was too.

I'm thinking this could be a valid explanation for why he's only wanted alive. The blond Elder Star, the youngest looking one, appears to be in his 40's-50's; Sanji is only 21, so it's plausible that man could be his father. We don't know Sanji's history before he was on the cruise ship; perhaps the blond Gorosei finally recognized him since he got a real picture on his bounty poster, and now, he only wants his son imprisoned and not killed.
* Jossed. Sanji's father is the head of a family of assassins, as well as a mysterious army. The reason why Sanji is only wanted alive is suspected by him to be because of his ArrangedMarriage.

Notice how she's wearing Nami's Fishman Island outfit, and not her current clothes as seen in chapter 795 (And is also carrying a sword, a weapon Nami can't use). Maybe the Mink tribe encountered Sanji and co., and correctly assumed the rest of the crew would arrive, so they had a female Minkman who looks strikingly like Nami wear a recognizable outfit from her. That way they could trick the Straw Hats into believing Nami was somehow transformed, making them investigate the matter further and walk right into a trap.

Jack, in essense, will suffer TheWorfEffect, in that we see just how strong and powerful he is, but he is still no match for the Marines' top brass. Bonus points if it's ''Tsuru'' who defeats him, as she, too, has been hyped to be incredibly powerful, as not only does her very presence send chills down even skilled pirates' spines (and curb-stomps whole groups of them simultaneously with her Devil Fruit powers), it's repeatedly shown that she's the only person on the side of the World Government Doflamingo genuinely fears. Tsuru's Wash-Wash Fruit is a perfect match-up against Jack, as it would allow Tsuru to wash away Jack's thirst for destruction and calm him down.

Oda said in an [[WordOfGod SBS]] that Sanji can't hit a woman for some reason. Since the focus of this arc will be more on Sanji, its possible that we'll be seeing the reason for his inability to hit women in this arc.
* If by "Animal Island" arc you mean Zou, it's jossed; the reason why he can't hit a woman was never brought up. Besides, Oda stared that it was more due to his upbringing than anything; if he's going to give more details about that, it won't be in the Zou arc, which is almost/pretty much over.

Its eyes look like empty sockets, almost like it has no eyes at all. Some ancient technology from before the Void Century may keep it still functional; its showering twice a day may be an automated process, and a navigation system makes it possibile for it to stay away from islands (else, just its passage would cause disasters). Alternately, the same technology keeps it "barely" alive, enough to still do the aforementioned things.

Rather, Sanji, and probably Brook and Momonosuke, are surrounded by beautiful Mink women. Nami feels strongly about it all, Sanji first and foremost, because Sanji's stopped paying attention to her.

When Sanji first briefly fought Mont Blanc cricket we see they're both using similar techniques, then we see the storybook King of Lvneel, who looks more like the current Sanji than the realistic flashback to the king. Oda has been known to slip this kind of foreshadowing in (like Luffy's drawing of the shipwright he wants).
Added to that, he calls himself 'Mr. Prince' in the Alabasta arc and in one of the SBS results for favorite attack it even says 'He's a real prince'. When he tells Kuma that he'll be causing more trouble than the rest of them combined, he's doesn't just mean as a pirate.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the whole running gag with the wanted poster is a way to obscure that Sanji's face would be so identifiable in the North Blue there would already be a fuss.

At this point the Strawhats are wrongfully despised by the general merman populous and will have to escape along with Decken with the help of Jinbei and Den.
This event will be the first step towards Luffy's (and by extension his crews)ultimate destiny ,to fight alongside his father and the revolution in their attempts to overthrow the now irredeemable government.

They will not be defeated for good though--they'll be forced to make a retreat. What happens afterwards, however, I haven't the slightest clue.

There's no way that this wasn't deliberate. Kaido knew full well that Jack had absolutely no chance at winning that fight, but he sent him anyways to get an idea of what kind of opposition he would be facing. The most logical conclusion is that Kaido never intended for Jack to be the one to retrieve Doflamingo - he was just the recon and Kaido is going to do it himself.

In total, there are twenty families who carry the initial D., and every member is a descendant of the King that had that name.]] The Void Century was a ploy to help hide that fact, and somewhere there is a Poneglyph that reveals it.

There's also a slight possibility that Wa is in North Blue, making everything fit together somehow. Remember, we never saw any of the other Blues other than East.

* I think you just countered your own argument there. Don Krieg fled after not getting very far in. Where was Brook's crew wiped out? The Florian Triangle. A stone's throw away from the Red Line. If they had made it that far, I doubt Don Krieg would have turned around and fled all the way back to the East Blue.

Sanji's masculinity has been tortured in each arc since returning from the transvestite kingdom, why stop now? She will eventually be revealed to be male (either one of Ivankov's former victims or just a REALLY good crossdresser, unlike the okamas so far). But once Straw Hats take care of that, CP0 will be free to go and take Dofla's head.

The Doflamingo(es) we've been seeing are just puppets controlled from a distance in some hidden area by the real Donquixote Doflamingo, and he has never shown himself in public ever since eating the String-String Fruit. Instead, he has kept up a flawless act for the past decade, at the very least, fooling everyone into thinking that the puppets are actually him, like with Sasori or Pain in ''Manga/{{Naruto}}''. And like with those two, Doflamingo would be unbeatable without knowledge of his true nature, as he can keep reassembling puppets or bringing out more if they get destroyed. As he's a World Noble, the real Doflamingo would probably be a small, frail man in one of those astronaut suits that anyone with any degree of strength could take out in one attack. This is also why Doflamingo is so confident sitting in the palace after unleashing the Birdcage: That's just the puppet, and the real him is safe.

It is possible that some people close to him know the secret, like Vergo and possibly Law. Law is incapacitated and did not expect Luffy to find Doflamingo directly and confront him, and everyone else keeps totally mum because they know that if Doflamingo's secret is out, it will guarantee the end of him. As for the hidden area, I am guessing Zo. Hanging there, nobody can touch him from Dressrosa, and I suspect the reason Law suggested for the crewmates on the Thousand Sunny to go to Zo is because they'll find the real Doflamingo there. That being said, Doflamingo would have to be taken out by Luffy or Kyros, as it'd be anticlimactic otherwise.
* What if the puppet is Corazon, his brother who was "taken away" from Law? Doffy kills his brother, stealing both his position as Donquixote family leader and his body to use as a decoy. This is why Law is telling Luffy about the guy now, as Luffy is going to be facing Doflamingo in a matter of time. Law is, a roundabout way, about to warn Luffy that jumping in and gum-gum pistoling the man in the fluffy pink coat is playing right into his trap.

* At least some parts of this has been jossed. Doflamingo definitely isn't an old man.
