The ability may have formed the idea for Requiem Stands since Araki was starting to toy with the idea of Stand's evolving during this part, but within part 4, it is explicitly stated to be a new ability.

*** Koichi Hirose is voiced by Creator/RioNatsuki in the ''Vento Aureo'' game, Creator/RomiPark in the Cyberconnect games, and Creator/YuukiKaji in the anime.

* PostScriptSeason: Araki had initially intended the franchise to be a trilogy ending with ''Stardust Crusaders'' since the ending tied up the loose ends from the first two parts. As such ''Diamond is Unbreakable'' feels more like a standalone story that expands on some of the elements introduced in ''Stardust Crusaders'' but isn't necessarily a direct sequel. ''Vento Aureo'' would follow suit on this trope but not ''Stone Ocean''.

Even Kira is utterly backed into a corner shortly after his introduction just like the others. As if Araki realized he should probably settle on a true BigBad by that point, Kira gets bailed out at the last possible second, allowing him to secure his place as the Part's main villain. The anime adaptation helps offset this by adding scenes that tease Kira from the very beginning.

* FanNickname: "Eggoes" and "Echoes ACT 0" for the initial egg-shaped form of Koichi's Stand, Echoes.
