* CreatorsPest: The reason why Warbucks was removed. The dev team realized that his character design could cause some UnfortunateImplications and were not happy with his gimmicksHe gained sanity when he has money in his inventory, but lost sanity if he ate food that didn't come from a crock pot, and realized he wasn't that interesting after all. He was replaced by Wormwood, a living plant who as a concept is more unique.

* FanNickname:
** Fans of the game have taken the calling for the TreeguardThe gigantic tree monster that spawns from the forest whenever you chop too many trees down. as "Optimus Pine" since it spawns from a fully grown pine tree and transforms back into one when it's idle (though in appearance only).
*** Treebeard is also a popular nickname for the Treeguard.

Dummied Out is now trivia. Moving examples accordingly.

* DummiedOut: Klei acknowledged that Warbucks, as controversial as he was, did have his fans, so they left his data in the game so that players could easily mod him back in if they so desired.

** Several unimplemented characters have been found in the game's files. Among them are a skeleton, a witch, and the Pyro from VideoGame/TeamFortress2. Many of the playable characters were only found in the game's files before they were implemented.
** There are also several unimplemented items, the most notable being the long pig from Don't Starve Together. Originally players would drop long pig (human flesh) when they die, but the developers thought that eating people was too dark. Naturally, there is a mod that re-enables it.
** There was originally a research points system for crafting. You put objects into the science machine where you gained "research points" from them, where you then spent them to unlock crafting recipes. It was replaced with the prototyping system in the "Insanity!" update. Interestingly, Wilson's dialogue when checking the science machine still loosely references the research points system.
