* AchillesHeel: Jou Shigeru, as Stronger, has electric and magnetic powers, easily beating most "kaijin" (hard to translate; of the many renderings you'll see, "inhumanoids" is probably the best, if an unwieldy word.) of Black Satan easily. However, later in the series, the "Kaizou Majins" (Remodeled demons) from the Delza Army appear, and they're completely immune to Stronger's electric and magnetic attacks in standard conditions, putting Stronger in a great disadvantage.

First Titan vs. Shadow, then Shadow vs the whole Black Satan organization, then, when he starts his own Delza Army organization, we get ''all the new villains versus each other'' for leadership, which he ''encourages,'' figuring they'd try extra hard to get Stronger while chasing the reward (when in practice, Stronger owes more than one victory to the villain who had him cornered being prevented from striking the final blow by another... much as it was when Shadow would cheat Titan out of victory but not be able to seal it himself.) Then one of 'em decides [[TheStarscream to go after Shadow himself]]...
* FauxActionGirl: Misaki Yuriko/Electro-Wave Human Tackle. If you only know her by how sad fans were to see her die or how cool the ''KamenRiderDecade'' alternate version is, you'll be surprised to find her unable to deal with any {{Monster of the Week}} bar about two.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Both Titan and General Shadow are various degrees of affable. With Titan it mainly comes from his suave attitude, and with General Shadow it's his honour and knightly code of conduit (such as refusing to use underhanded tricks to defeat his adversaries). Both are as evil as evil come however, but Titan especially loses his cool after suffering many defeats by Stronger.

* SuperMode: ''Charge Up'' form. Notable as the first example in the ''Kamen Rider'' franchise; previous riders had gotten upgraded powers as their shows went on, but they were permanent prior to this.this: TrainingFromHell or a new technological tweak resulted in beating the crisis of the day and presumably being stronger thereafter, and when you realize they increase their powers as much as the new guys do but without any changes to the suit, it's no surprise to see the old Riders keeping up with the new ones in the teamup movies. However, an actual form change happens for the first time here, as does the "it's crazy strong but has requirements/drawbacks" idea.

''Decade'' also treated Yuriko a lot better than ''Stronger'' did; where ''Stronger's'' Yuriko seemed to end up tied up if faced with anything worse than two {{Mooks}} and had to die to beat Doctor Kate in her ''only'' instance of surpassing that, ''Decade's'' Yuriko, while having a quite different personality (''Decade's'' Yuriko is a GenkiGirl ThirdPersonPerson, but it's covering a good deal of pain.) was a force to be reckoned with. Yuriko's fans surely had no problem with her telling Decade "No, let me handle this" and sending six Riotroopers (EvilKnockoff Riders from ''KamenRider555,'' a homage to the Shocker Riders of old) flying like ragdolls with ''one'' Electro-Wave Throw (yes, that attack that was only capable of ''pushing'' one or two footsoldiers - basic grunts, the kind that are routinely beaten by humans with decent chop-socky skills - back but without actually stopping them in ''Stronger''.) She didn't just return, she returned with powers as strong as her will always was, and it was ''beautiful.'']]

While her full title is "Electro-Wave Human Tackle," "Electro-Wave Human" is a title like "Kamen Rider." (It's also less unwieldy in Japanese. "Denpa Ningen... *pose* Tackle!") Referring to her as "Human Tackle" ''a la'' the ComicBook/FantasticFour's "Human Torch," as if she were the first fishing-themed superhero or something, is ''absotively, posilutely Not A Thing'' and why so many think it is is a mystery.

* TheChick: Misaki Yuriko, with the only attack [[spoiler: that she can use and live]] being about as good as a strong shove. Anything worse than three foot soldiers and she winds up tied up. Though at heart, she is more of a hero than Jou himself at times.
** That's not entirely fair. If she isn't taken by surprise, she can take on large groups of henchmen, and on three occasions she's done well against kaijin (though yes, pretty much every other one beat her up): One which beat her the first time, but she put on an impressive showing in the rematch, learning to counter its attack; a fish-like kaijin later on in the series which, when she finally ran into it, she straight-up handed its ass to it; and of course [[spoiler: the one all the other spoilers are talking about, that she destroys via self-destruct]].

-->''"The heavens cry out! The earth cries out! The people cry out! They cry out for me to destroy evil! Listen up, evildoers...I am the warrior of justice, Kamen Rider Stronger!"''

''KamenRiderStronger'' is the fifth KamenRider series.

Former football player Joh Shigeru's friend is captured and killed by the Black Satan group, which looks for athletes in prime physical condition to be changed into "kaijins"--monster humanoids.

Joh himself goes undercover and allows himself to be captured and altered, becoming the Electric Human Stronger. When he is forced to pledge loyalty to Black Satan's Great Leader, he shows his true colors, calling himself Kamen Rider Stronger and escaping to seek out revenge against Black Satan for killing a friend of his. While escaping from their base, he rescues a woman who had been altered by Black Satan, but not brainwashed, Misaki Yuriko who became Electric Human Tackle, helping Stronger in his battle against the organization Black Satan.

Eventually, Black Satan falls before Stronger, but he ends up faced with the Delza army, composed by inhabitants of an underground kingdom. However, as it turns out, he wasn't the only one facing Delza's forces around the world...

!This series provides examples of:

* AchillesHeel: Jou Shigeru, as Stronger, has electric and magnetic powers, easily beating most "kaijin" of Black Satan easily. However, later in the series, the "Kaizou Majins" (Remodeled demons) from the Delza Army appear, and they're completely immune to Stronger's electric and magnetic attacks in standard conditions, putting Stronger in a great disadvantage.
** In addition, Black Satan's first great commander, Titan, was weak against... water.
** The Kaizou Majin in general seemed to be actually hurt by Stronger's standard electric attacks if they were immersed in water.
* TheAce: Jou Shigeru is pretty much the prototype for [[KamenRiderKabuto Tendou Souji]].
* ActionBomb: [[spoiler:Tackle, poisoned and dying, losing alongside Stronger against the Delza Army troops, chooses to sacrifice herself to kill one of the commanders, Doctor Kate]].
* ArtificialLimbs: Jou has cybernetic arms that he always covers up with black gloves. And with good reason - Stronger can shake peoples' hands without electrocuting them, but Jou ''can't''.
* ActionGirl: Misaki Yuriko/Electro-Wave Human Tackle, obviously.
* BadAss: Jou Shigeru, full stop.

* CursedWithAwesome: He's a cyborg with the strength and power to take on all evildoers, but those gloves Jou always wears are ''insulated''. (It's under this trope as it gives Jou a "handy" trick in human form, and he doesn't seem too worried by it.)

* DangerousForbiddenTechnique: Tackle's final attack Ultra Cyclone.
** Although it is speculative [[spoiler: if she could have survived using it in normal condition]]. It definitely costs her a great amount of energy, similar to V3's Reverse Double Typhoon.

* FullyAbsorbedFinale: Rider 1, 2, V3 and Riderman participate in Stronger's finale, which ties a certain plot thread left hanging around from their own series. The show's ending segment even includes the first Rider's and V3's openings playing alongside flashbacks of their series.

* LighterAndSofter: When cast in comparison to ''KamenRiderAmazon'''s HighPressureBlood and {{Gorn}}, the hammy speeches and over-the-top attitude of ''Stronger'' is a significant refresher.
* TheManBehindTheMan: The Great Leader reveals he was responsible for [[KamenRiderX the Government of Darkness]] and [[KamenRiderAmazon Geddon]].
* NamesToKnowInAnime: Ichirou Mizuki, MitsukoHorie and Masato Shimon all do songs for the series.
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: General Shadow wants to defeat Stronger himself and cares little about anything else.
* PhlebotinumRebel: Stronger gets himself rebuilt on purpose to get revenge on Black Satan for the death of a friend.
* PluckyComicRelief: Tachibana Tobei, much to the chagrin of fans.
* ShockAndAwe: His bread and butter.
* SortingAlgorithmOfEvil: The enemies that Stronger faces keep getting more powerful throughout the series. Even an early villain was upgrade to justify his return.
* SuperMode: ''Charge Up'' form.
* TakingYouWithMe: [[spoiler: Tackle kills Doctor Kate, a Kaizou Majin, alongside herself, using her own SuicideAttack.]]
** [[spoiler: Though it is presumed that Tackle could have survived using the Ultra Cyclone, if she wouldn't have been near death already.]]
* VillainSong: "Wahahaha! Terrorizing the Country"
* VillainPedigree: The Delza Army's Kaizou Majin, altered demons, who replace Black Satan's Kikaijins, altered humans, as the standard enemies in the second half of the show.
* WillTheyOrWontThey: Jou is in love with Yuriko, and she seems to feel the same, though they never tell each other.
** [[spoiler: [[HeroicSacrifice And they]] [[TearJerker never will.]]]]
* WomenInRefrigerators:[[spoiler: Tackle is killed late in the series, and her actress dies of cancer in the 80s, turning Tackle's death into HarsherInHindsight. Her being officially considered ''not'' a true Rider but a mere sidekick only adds insult to injury. This is referenced in the ''KamenRiderSpirits'' manga.]]
** More like rectified: [[spoiler:''Spirits'' gives a better explanation for Tackle not being considered a Kamen Rider, saying that Jou and Tachibana felt she had done enough and wanted her to rest in peace as a normal woman, not a warrior.]]
*** [[spoiler: Spirits' take on the issue has its own UnfortunateImplications. In the series, after Tackle's death, when she sacrificed herself in battle to kill a foe that not even Stronger could match, while hiding the fact that she had been fatally poisoned, Shigeru, while leaving her grave, said "Yuriko... no, Tackle.", respecting her as a warrior even if not calling her a Kamen Rider. Meanwhile, in Spírits, Shigeru claims that she's just Yuriko and died as a normal woman.]]
*** [[spoiler: More recently, the KR Decade short films raised the question of Tackle's rider status directly, and Tackle featured prominently in one of the Decade movies. The jury's still out, but there seems to be a swell of support for Tackle being given full Kamen Rider status posthumously. With the creation of KR Kivala, and Decade showing female riders in the Hibiki-verse, there may yet be hope for female Kamen Riders.]]
*** [[spoiler: The change regarding Tackle makes sense in context. Yuriko is shown in all of the flashbacks to have been someone who loved Jou, but could never live a normal life with him because of Black Satan's reconstruction of them. Thus, by acknowledging Yuriko as a woman, Jou is giving her in death the one thing she couldn't have: her old life back. If anything, Jou was just respecting her wish.]]
