* EmpoweredBadassNormal: Mudy has hidden powers but he can't control any of them, [[spoiler:such as the ability to turn most of his blood into a giant's sword - which makes him completely powerless because he's anemic when said blood is in his sword]], so he relies solely on his own bardic charisma and his allies (who ''can'' use some of these powers through Mudy) to forge through problems.

* KingmakerScenario: Mudy gets appointed by Darkmoon's queendom to decide which of the five 'princesses' should inherit the throne. [[spoiler:Helping matters is that he's a prince of the kingdom that is currently annexing her queendom, while also being rebellious enough to make an informed decision that goes ''against'' his kingdom's interests. After realizing that every princess is flawed but easily balances the others, he ends up ''breaking the crown'' and it turns into five circlets, creating a royal council.]]

* SuccessThroughInsanity: Rudy typically performs 'sneak attacks' by doing something so spontaneous and nonsensical that his enemies are stunned speechless - and then he attacks. An imageboard-based RPG styled as a text adventure, similar in style and pace to the game to start the genre, [[RubyQuest Ruby Quest]], created and run by a man who goes by the name "Reaver."

It begins with a [[BadassNormal kobold named Mudy]] awakening within a small box. He is teleported to a world of fantasy, and promptly sets out to claim a kingdom as his own. [[GrowingTheBeard It only gets better from there.]]

The archives can be found [[http://tgchan.org/wiki/MudyQuest here]]. WARNING: Some of the threads there contain some [[RuleThirtyFour NSFW material]].

----
This game provides examples of:
* ADateWithRosiePalms - At one point Raital walks in on Mudy rubbing his nose, the kobold equivalent of this trope.
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie - Ivar and Rune, a pair of paladins who were forced into servitude under Calavera upon losing a battle of wits.
* AnyoneCanDie - Sometimes, averted. Other times, not so much.
* [[ArtifactOfDoom Artifact of Doom]] - [[spoiler: Darkbeing.]]
* ArtEvolution - [[http://64.86.28.46/kusaba/questarch/src/124640647774.png And]] [[http://64.86.28.46/kusaba/questarch/src/124760850352.png HOW!]]
* AuthorAppeal - Given this and his other quests, it's pretty clear Reaver has some sort of...''interest'' in [[spoiler:incest]]. So if you're expecting a [[spoiler:Mudy isn't Latral]] plot twist, you're going to be disappointed.
* BadassNormal - Mudy has no powers [[spoiler: with the exception of the sword in his body]] and relies solely on his own charisma and his allies to forge through problems.
* [[spoiler: BackFromTheDead - Calavera, but then again, he is a Lich, and it wasn't even certain that Swordplague cut the soul up properly.]]
* [[spoiler: {{BFS}} - Mudy carries one that's bigger than himself, ''inside his own body''.]]
* BigScrewedUpFamily and RoyallyScrewedUp - The Blutjaegers spent all their childhoods in an ancient abandoned citadel, training to become powerful warriors and destroyers, with a loveless hellspawn as a mother and no father of any kind. Even those of them that did not grow up to become depraved and psychotic monsters share some rather odd personality quirks.
* [[spoiler:BrotherSisterIncest - Mudy and Raital? Siblings. When do we find out? The very night Mudy "[[AManIsNotAVirgin becomes a man]]".]]
* [[spoiler:CallingTheOldManOut - "I am not you. And for that I am forever thankful. I would rather be weak than exist in a world where your corruption rules."]]
* CrowningMomentOfAwesome - "Let's do something amazing."
* CrowningMomentOfFunny - [[spoiler:"Did zat girl just give birth?"]]
* CrowningMomentOfHeartwarming - [[spoiler:Mudy and Raital's love confession.]]
** [[spoiler:Mudy finds out his mother is the UltimateEvil, tells his allies. Nobody cares.]]
* CutenessProximity - [[spoiler:Mudy, once he witnesses the transformation of his big sister Kuhral. Complete with a ShoutOut to {{XKCD}}.]]
* DevelopmentHell
* [[spoiler: DroppedABridgetOnHim - Prince Silvermoone.]]
* {{Fanservice}} - Ample amounts, particularly regarding Darkmoon Dagger.
* FanDisservice - Cheryl the sandworm and Axebeard during the [[HotSpringsEpisode hot springs episode]] deserve special mention.
* FetishFuel - [[spoiler: "Well.. i-if I remember correctly.. I was making you drink my blood.. That's a way to have me inside of you..."]]
** Also, [[spoiler:Raital and Mudy having sex. She's half-kobold, he's full kobold, meaning he's much smaller than she is. Also, she and her family have a tendency to get nosebleeds whenever aroused. And she's his sister. You see where this is going? The morning after they first have sex, there's enough blood on the bed to cover Mudy in a crust.]]
* GettingCrapPastTheRadar - The Oracle sculpture "looks kind of familiar" in several different ways...
* HeroicBSOD - [[spoiler: "Mudy has succumbed to illnes: LOVE. LOVE has escalated into DESPAIR."]]
* [[spoiler: LongLostRelative - "I am Latral."]]
* HighOctaneNightmareFuel - [[http://www.tgchan.org/kusaba/questarch/res/7903.html Chapter 22.5]] (spoilers)
* HotSpringsEpisode - Also contains a minor ShoutOut to RubyQuest. [[spoiler:And sibling sex.]]
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain - Lucinus the Serpent King
* KavorkaMan - Mudy has a way of inadvertently seducing/arousing almost all of the females he encounters, often accidentally.
* KissingUnderTheInfluence - A mind-controlling slave collar made forced Mudy to kiss a Blutjaeger.
* MayflyDecemberRomance - Darkmoon? 922 years old. Totenkopf? ''Eleven.''
* MergedReality - At one point just as things seem truly fucked, [[spoiler: a fey sends Mudy into the past to foil the assassination that set the series of perilous events in motion.]] It works.
* MomentKiller - Hans and Gunther, several times. Their physical appearance does not help.

* PantyShot - [[spoiler:Mudy]]
* QuirkyMinibossSquad - The Blutjaegers.

* RunningGag: [[spoiler: "He also feels a hand going up his leg."]]
* ShoutOut - The RubyQuest one in the HotSpringsEpisode. There's also a character that bears a suspicious resemblance to the lead of Weaver's DiveQuest.
* SpeakNowOrForeverHoldYourPeace
* TearJerker: [[spoiler: Mudy's reaction to Ivar and Rune [[AnyoneCanDie unceremoniously turning into dust]] after asking for their souls back.]]
-->[[spoiler: Mudy]]: "Wait! Wait.. I.. I take it back...You're not free..."
** Not to mention [[spoiler:Cheryl leaving the party]].
* [[ThoseTwoGuys Those Two]] [[spoiler:[[ThoseTwoBadGuys Bad]]]] [[ThoseTwoGuys Guys]] - Hans and Gunther. They also like apples.

** [[spoiler:Prince Silvermoone as well.]]
* {{Yandere}} - [[spoiler: Also Raital.]]
