Commentary reveals it's actually based off Medusa, but I think my version sounds better.

* ''AustinPowers: International Man of Mystery'' has Dr. Evil expressing a desire for "[[SharkPool sharks]] with [[FrickinLaserBeams frickin' laser beams]] on their heads." In the third film, he actually ''gets'' them.

* ''PiratesOfTheCaribbean'' has actual [[GhostPirate zombie pirates]] (one of whom throws smoke bombs and [[LawyerFriendlyCameo looks a lot like Edward Teach]]) in the first movie. The second and third movies feature Fish-People pirates led by Davy Jones (who, for some reason, pilots a ship called ''[[FlyingDutchman The Flying Dutchman]]'' and speaks in a Scottish accent), [[FanNickname or as some fans call him]], "Captain [[HPLovecraft Cthulhu]]".
** Don't forget the zombie pirate ''[[EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys monkey]]''.
** Not to mention a sky-scraper sized, ship-smashing squid which sadly didn't make it into the third film. I suppose not even [=POTC3=] has ''that'' great a capacity.
** The third movie is summed up as thus: A Zombie Pirate captain lord teams up with his rival BadassNormal Pirate's crew to defy proven fact that the earth is round and sail over the edge to bring said BadassNormal Pirate back from the dead (Making him a BadassNormal Zombie Pirate Captain) so that he may lead the charge against an unholy alliance between Zombie mutant pirate demons led by the Zombie mutant sea devil pirate captain and a [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking Tea Company]]. And the zombie pirate monkey is in it. And a hoodoo mystic WitchDoctor Sea Goddess, and [[CombatTentacles Kraken]].
** Pluswhich, it's based on [[DisneyThemeParks a theme park ride]], so you can throw "robots" in there, too.
** Wanna bet at least one of the extras in the third movie's Singapore scenes was an undercover ninja?
