Granted, they're just common ants which are completely harmless, but even to people who ''don't'' have insectophobia, an entire nest of them crawling over each other can be unsettling. Even worse is that Frollo uses and murders the ants to demonstrate that he's been killing off innocent Gypsies for decades one by one without fail in the hopes of finding their hideout to kill them all at once.
