* FollowTheLeader: Also, some of her songs sound suspiciously similar to some American hits. 'Puppy' sounds exactly like Music/{{Rihanna}}'s 'SOS' and 'You're So Beautiful' sounds like Jordin Sparks's 'Tattoo.' To be fair, this is hardly her fault (she had nothing to do with Puppy's production nor You're So Beautiful's music), but still.

* ''Koda Kumi Driving Hit's 2'' (2010), yet another remix album
* ''Best: Third Universe'' (2010), [[OverlyLongGag her third greatest hits album]], which was a tie-in with...

* ''[[GratuitousFrench Dejavu]]'' (2011)
* ''Koda Kumi Driving Hit's 3'' (2011), Remixes, again. But let's be honest, fans lap it up.

!! Tropes that apply to Koda Kumi and her music:

* AcCENTUponTheWrongSylLABle - Well... she's Japanese.
* AutoTune - Varying amounts. "Pink Spider" is ''drowned'' in it, which is one of the reasons it was [[FlameWar not very well recieved]] among hide fans.
* AwardBaitSong - '''All''' of her {{Power Ballad}}s.
* BareYourMidriff - [[http://desertheart.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/black_cherry_tour_reg.jpg Of]] [[http://jpopcdcovers.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/koda_kumi_tohoshinki.jpg course]].
* BoastfulRap
* CoverAlbum - Eternity: Love & Songs and Color the Cover.
* CoverVersion - [[Music/HidetoMatsumoto "Pink Spider."]] [[FlameWar Its]] [[BerserkButton reception]] among hide fans has not been... [[RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgment pleasant.]] Mostly due to the video not matching the lyrics or intent of the song, and the replacement of hide's guitar work - one of the outstanding points of the song - with some work by a DJ of ''questionable'' skill miming DavidGuetta.
* DyeHard
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer - Look at ANY of her lives, or in any number of her PVs where she can be seen getting VERY friendly with other females.
* EroticEating - [[http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/90/Kumi-_Gossip_Candy_(CD_Only).jpg THIS]].
* {{Fanservice}} - She's given lap dances and serenades to audiences members brought up on stage. Also, this is pretty much what she's famous for.
** MsFanservice
* FollowTheLeader - Also, some of her songs sound suspiciously similar to some American hits.
* GirlOnGirlIsHot - Music videos for "But" and "Taboo" come to mind, her live performances often involve dry humping/groping of female & male dancers.
* GoodBadGirl - She is a total cutie in public and interviews. Her music, videos and performances say otherwise.
* GratuitousEnglish
* GreatestHitsAlbum - As of right now, ''five'' of them.
* GuyOnGuyIsHot - "Ima Sugu Hoshii" features one man snaking up another, "Taboo" features her male love interest kissing a guy after he catches Kumi with girls.
* HotterAndSexier
* ImpossiblyCoolClothes
* IntercourseWithYou - Has at least one per album anymore. Special mention goes to Ima Sugu Hoshii (lit. I Want It Right Now), which doesn't even try to convince you that it's anything else.
* JapanesePopMusic
* JapaneseRanguage - Incredibly guilty of this, especially in her cover of [[Disney/{{Aladdin}} A Whole New World]]. Coincides with GratuitousEnglish.
* KansaiRegionalAccent - Well, she ''is'' from Kyoto. (Music/{{BoA|Korea}} commented on her accent as being very "strong" during a television interview.)
* KimonoFanservice the cover of her latest [[http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lynsc33UZu1qa0b9so2_250.jpg album]] , [[http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ly61j2Q4Tl1qg3k48o1_500.jpg JAPONESQUE]]. The "So Nice" video has this by the truckloads, too.
* KimonoIsTraditional - The video for "Aisho" features Kumi in a Kimono, as have many promotional photos. She also a special feature, in which she wore a montage of Kimono.
* LetsDuet - Peabo Bryson, Tatsuya Ishii and Music/{{BoA|Korea}} among others.
* LighterAndSofter
* MoodWhiplash - On Black Cherry, the change from [[IntercourseWithYou Juicy]] (a smutty hip-hop song) to [[PowerBallad Candle Light]] (a piano ballad where Kumi sobs the whole time she's singing) is so jarring that you almost can't help but [[{{Narm}} laugh]]. The fact that Cherry girl, a sassy pop song, immediately follows is just [[UpToEleven icing on the cake]].
* MotorMouth - she speaks incredibly fast.
* NiceHat - Pirate hats, flight attendant chapeaus, you name it, she's worn it.
* PantyShot - The [[http://news.3yen.com/wp-content/images/Koda_sm.jpg cover]] for Second Session.
* PeacockGirl - The video for "Show Girl".
* PowerBallad - At least three per album.
* PrettyInMink - During her "Kingdom" tour she actually, JUMPED up and down, and danced around whilst singing in a gianormous fur coat.
** The coat in the video for "Showgirl".
* SheCleansUpNicely - A theme of the "Bambi" music video.
* SmokingIsGlamorous - The video for "Aisho" (Love Proof).
* ShowgirlSkirt: A [[FluffyFashionFeathers pink feather]] one for her "Trick" tour.
* StageNames - Born 神田 來未子 (Koda Kumiko) but is branded as 倖田 來未 (Koda Kumi), changing Kanji in her Family Name and shortening her Given Name.
* SurprisePregnancy: She announced that she was pregnant a few days after she said she was getting married to BACK-ON's Kenji03. It was ''probably'' a ShotgunWedding.
* {{Stripperiffic}} - [[http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ae/KumiKodaPopDivaCDDVD.jpg What]] [[http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3a/Kodakumifreakycddvd.jpg did]] [[http://img.listal.com/image/463610/600full-koda-kumi.jpg you]] [[http://wallpapers-diq.org/wallpapers/84/Koda_Kumi_-_Butterfly.jpg expect]] [[http://www.covershut.com/covers/Koda-Kumi---Kamen-Front-Cover-7777.jpg from]] [[http://www.celebritynewsstar.com/upload/spaw/2010-02/quzz/file/quzz_2010-02-09_2.jpg the]] [[http://cdn.buzznet.com/assets/users16/xashleyemotiongirlx/default/koda-kumi--large-msg-127833904069.jpg Japanese]] Britney Spears?
* ThreeMinutesOfWrithing - Her PVs or her lives, constantly.
* TranslatedCoverVersion - Her version of Music/KellyClarkson's Can We Go Back.
* WomanScorned
* YaoiFangirl - Again - "Taboo" & "Ima Sugu Hoshii" video clips. Her expression to witnessing boy on boy action is priceless.
