* VisualNovel/TheGreatAceAttorneyChronicles: "Jezaille Brett", real name Asa Shinn, is in truth a sadistically xenophobic assassin sent by the justice system of Britain, one of the most important members of the main conspiracy in the game, and the most despicable of them for lacking any of the good intentions of her co-conspirators. Already known as an assassin in the dark corners of London, Shinn was hired by Mael Stronghart to assassinate every person who escaped the guilty verdict from the cases of Barok van Zieks, with a total of 16 victims killed in numerous "accidents", effectively being the one who made van Zieks into "The Reaper of The Bailey". Later on, Shinn would be sent to Japan under a fake identity to be a student of John Wilson, only for her to assassinate him with an agonizing, undiscovered poison, and later shooting the corpse for Ryunosuke Naruhodo to take the fall. When Brett was pulled to the trial of the murder, she would make racist remarks against the Japanese throughout the trial, and at one point, break an important piece of evidence just to laugh about her untouchable superiority. Taking pleasure in the pain of others, especially of other races, it's her own hatred and narcissism that leads to her death, even when she was already about to remain scot-free from her crimes.

* VisualNovel/TheGreatAceAttorneyChronicles: Mael Stronghart is the Lord Chief Justice of Britain, and the one responsible for all of the major events in the game. Originally a regular prosecutor with grand ambition, Stronghart blackmailed Klint van Zieks into assassinating other nobles, including the previous Lord Chief Justice, causing the infamous "Professor Killings". Stronghart orchestrated the trial against Genshin Asogi for Klint's crimes by manipulating many members of Scotland Yard's police into faking evidence, while also faking an execution sentence to supposedly let him free, only to convince his friend Seishiro Jigoku to shoot him when a bystander witnessed his escape. Later, Stronghart created an organization of assassins to kill anyone who escaped the guilty verdict, which would follow Barok van Zieks for years, and have him be known as "The Reaper of the Bailey". Eventually, Stronghart would want to ascend into the higher position of Attorney General, so he planned to blackmail Seishiro into both of them sending assassins to kill targets from their respective countries who knew "too much" of his involvement with any of the other conspiracies. Although Stronghart claims to have done it all in the name of making Britain into a better country, the heroes call him out on his Hypocrite hypocrisy, and Stronghart would in the end admit that all of his crimes and affable persona are just because he liked everything to run like a well-oiled machine.

* 2012 film: Manfred von Karma, while hiding under a polite exterior, proves to be just as vile as his game counterpart. To maintain a perfect win streak, Manfred has falsified and concealed evidence for years, murdering Gregory Edgeworth when he attempts to find proof of this. When Mia Fey is on the verge of solving said murder, known as the DL-6 Incident, Manfred hires the reporter, Redd White, to murder her. Later on, he sends a letter to Yanni Yogi, the suspect of the DL-6 Incident, detailing a plan to murder Robert Hammond and how to Up Manfred's adoptive son, Miles Edgeworth for it. When Phoenix finds out there's a connection between the DL-6 incident and the Robert Hammond murder, Manfred has Redd White poisoned to death to ensure Phoenix can't get information from him. He then intends to have Miles be declared guilty for the murder of Gregory. While he claims that his actions are for the sake of ensuring criminals are punished, von Karma proves himself to simply be an arrogant hypocrite willing to commit any atrocity for the sake of his reputation.

The Franchise/AceAttorney franchise has produced its fair share of monstrous villains.

----

* is the BigBad of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. , he had a flawless, decades-long win streak fueled by extremely dirty tactics, until defense attorney Gregory Edgeworth managed to have him penalized for illegal workings in the courtroom, causing him to be enraged by the stain on his perfect records. Right after the end of the case, an earthquake struck the courthouse, and came upon Gregory, his nine-year-old son Miles, and a bailiff trapped inside an elevator. Sensing a chance for revenge, he picked up the bailiff's gun and shot the unconscious Gregory in the heart. Afterwards, he took Miles under his wing and raised Miles to be the antithesis of everything that Gregory was, twisting the boy into a ruthless, cold-hearted prosecutor who cared for nothing but getting a guilty verdict every time. Finally, a few days before the Gregory Edgeworth murder case was closed forever, set up a murder and framed it on Miles, intending to have his own foster son executed to complete his revenge on Gregory, planning it so that Miles would be convinced that he himself had killed his father and would confess to and be charged with that murder as well. When the case became troublesome, he personally went to the police records to destroy crucial evidence, and used a stun gun to assault Miles's lawyer who discovered his actions.
* , the BigBad of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations, previously manipulated her boyfriend into assisting her in a crime, before framing him for murder and ensuring his suicide to cover her tracks. She later poisoned the lover of the prosecutor Mia Fey when he got too close to her crimes, before she seduced Phoenix Wright as well. When her fell for Phoenix, she accelerated her plans to poison him. When an ex-lover of tried to warn Phoenix, she murdered him and tried to frame Phoenix. Despite being executed, she returned as a vengeful ghost, aiding her mother to kill solely to spite spirit. Taking steps to manipulate again to help with the murder, she came back from the dead to possess Misty Fey--albeit due to Misty's desire to protect her niece Pearl--and attempted to murder Maya, being stopped only by the intervention of Godot who killed her host. But despite this she became convinced that she had forced Maya to murder her own mother and caused her to commit suicide, which she gloated over to their faces. She's also a giant hypocrite, as she shows nothing but disgust towards Morgan Fey because of the "petty revenge" that she was after, but at the same time was going along with Morgan's plan specifically in order to get her own revenge on Mia.

* is introduced as a supposedly helpful mentor. He is also one of the two people responsible for ushering in “The Dark Age Of The Law” by getting Phoenix Wright disbarred. After he ended up taking a massive blow to his ego when a magician and prospective client, Zak, rejected him as his lawyer. When Zak hired Phoenix instead of him due to a poker game, he became furious and decided to get revenge. He had gotten a shy artist named Vera to unknowingly create fake evidence for the trial, but after Phoenix was hired, he used the evidence to get him disbarred. He also manipulated his own brother, , by using him to disbar Phoenix and cheating the honorable out of a fair trial. , who knew something wasn't right, was haunted for years. When Zak resurfaced under a new identity years later, he took the chance to murder him and frame Phoenix. After this, it was revealed he had poisoned Vera and her father Drew, intending both to die. Vera survived, barely. To pour salt on the wound, he then gloated about how Apollo and Phoenix had triggered his plan-their questioning caused Vera to bite her nails- when he had planted the poison as nail polish, knowing her nervous habit. He had even started poisoning her when she was only twelve. After her survival, he simply enjoyed seeing Vera face conviction for her own father's murder. In the end, he was little but a cruel, petty, selfish man obsessed with glory and destroying those who stood in his way

Although Gregory still lost the case, was enraged by the black mark on his previously-perfect record. Unfortunately, right after the end of the case, an earthquake hit the building. It trapped Gregory Edgeworth, his nine-year-old son Miles, and a bailiff inside an elevator. As oxygen was beginning to run out, the bailiff panicked and attacked Gregory. Miles threw a piece of evidence from the trial at them to get them to stop fighting, which turned out to be a gun. The gun fired once, a terrible scream was heard, and then Miles passed out from lack of oxygen. Unbeknownst to the people in the elevator, had come across them. The bullet from the gun shot through the glass and hit his shoulder, causing him to scream. In revenge for the black mark against his record, picked up the gun and shot the unconscious Gregory in the heart. Afterwards, took Miles under his wing and, for fifteen years, raised Miles to be the antithesis of everything that Gregory Edgeworth was, twisting the boy to fit his views and become a ruthless, cold-hearted prosecutor who cared for nothing but getting a guilty verdict every time. Finally, on the very last day before the Gregory Edgeworth murder case was closed forever, von Karma set up a murder and pinned the blame on Miles Edgeworth, intending to have his own foster-son executed for a murder he didn't commit. also planned it out so that Miles would be convinced that he himself was the one who had killed his father and would confess to and be charged with that murder as well.

She's also a giant hypocrite; she shows nothing but disgust towards Morgan Fey because of the "petty revenge" that she was after, but at the same time, was going along with Morgan's plan specifically in order to get her own revenge on Mia.

* Phantom, AKA , is extremely nasty and is the second figure (after ) who ushered in “The Dark Age Of The Law.” He started off by disguising himself with a mask he found and killed Athena Cykes' mother when she was only 11 years old, in front of her no less, and ended up getting Prosecutor Blackquil convicted. Before that, he . He also sabotages a national symbol of pride, known as the HAT-1, a rocket, almost killing the astronaut on board. He also killed Apollo's best friend since junior high, Clay Terran, because Clay almost revealed his identity. If that wasn't bad enough, he's ruined the lives of several people besides the aforementioned Athena Cykes and Prosecutor Simon Blackquil and is indirectly responsible for almost every murder in the game, including setting off the bomb in the courtroom that was thought to be the work of Ted Tonate, which could have caused massive amount of death. Oh, and he framed two girls, the aforementioned Prosecutor Blackquill, and an astronaut for his crimes the two girls being Athena and her best friend, an Ill Girl. To top it all off, if you count the murder done by his associate, Ted Tonate, he has the highest death toll of the entire franchise. He's not sorry for any of this, folks. What's really disturbing is that nobody knows his true identity. He also doesn't feel emotions the same way "normal" people do. Because of this, he is a chillingly realistic version of a sociopath in a video game.
