Probably goes without saying that he qualifies, but wouldn't Matt Engarde count as this? I can take up making the edits, but I'd be a dead liar to say that he isn't on the order Manfred von Karma and Dahlia Hawthorne.

Late response, but I'd personally suggest the one of Manfred tasing Phoenix and Maya in Turnabout Goodbyes.

So, can anyone tell me why exactly Blaise Debeste isn't in this one?

Oh, the thread? Don't worry, it's just dead. Hide / Show Replies

All CM pages are locked. As for these three you mentioned... Retinz is a huge dick, but not huge enough to be here. Blaise... I think he was discussed, and to much of his job is offscreen. As for Magnifi... Where did that come from?

HELLO. Umm... I have no idea why the page is locked, but the entry for Apollo Justice has some MAJOR innacurracies. Can someone fix it; it looks like it was written by someone who didn't even play the game. Kristoph was a mentor to Zak? The hell...?

Sometimes life just sucks. You have to learn to take the good with the bad. Why should you expect anything different in the mediums?

Dual Destinies

  • Complete Monster: (MAJOR spoilers) Sweet Jiminy Christmas, Phantom; if he isn't the single biggest monster in the entire franchise, he's in the running for the top three, at least. To recap: he dispassionately sabotages a symbol of national pride (the HAT-1) in a way that will probably kill Starbuck (though he probably doesn't care either way), he coldly murders a woman for the sole purpose of covering up a somewhat iffy threat to his identity, he frames an eleven-year-old girl for said murder (and, bonus points, said girl is the daughter of the victim), ends up ruining the life of a prosecutor in the bargain (which he didn't even mean to do, but hey), murders a detective to assume his identity, sabotages another rocket launch by bombing the entire Space Center, murders an astronaut at the same time just to recover another piece of only slightly incriminating evidence, frames another astronaut for this, bombs a courtroom to again try to remove said incriminating evidence (getting a detective and potential threat to his cover ultimately killed in the bargain), then plants evidence to again frame said girl for the astronaut murder and intentionally dredge up the girl's PTSD and guilt over her mother. Oh, and did we mention that he's almost completely incapable of feeling normal human emotion, to the degree that Widget has trouble sorting it out?
    • To put it another way: if you count Candice Arme as one of his victims (since, ultimately, it was his actions that led to her death) then he has the highest body count of any villain in the entire franchise. Even leaving her out and only counting people he's directly murdered, he "merely" ties with Dahlia. And if you're tallying "casualties" - people whose lives he ruined in addition to those he directly or indirectly murdered - he's responsible for twice as much suffering as the next possible candidate (again, Dahlia).
    • Put yet another way: he is so bad that Blackquill calls him a "creature" at one point, and many other characters call him a monster or similar.
    • As a side note, and as another example of his horrificness: a lot of people might say that Athena's had terrible fortune. Just the opposite, in a way: until Case 5-5, she is the only known person to have ever confronted Phantom and lived. Forget her tragedies, she should be grateful every single day to just be alive.
