* The Nancy Drew games are known for this whenever Nancy calls someone back home. Sometimes you can avoid calling the stock characters like Ned, Bess, or George, but there are a few games where you can't move forward without their assistance. So if you've been holding off on calling and suddenly have no choice, what follows is a CharacterFilibuster where Nancy recaps every. Single. Event. Thus. Far. Try to have a book or some knitting handy when you play.

Not a good example, since this is not so much about goldfish memory as it is about the audience presumably already knowing about mixing drinks (in the writers view)

* Disaronno has a series of how-to commercials to show viewers how to mix drinks... except the drink's instructions are in its name (i.e. Disaronno on the rocks, Disaronno with cranberry juice). Good thing Disaronno taught us how to mix liquids.

The reason they remind you after each commercial break is if a child tuned into the station during the commercial break and doesn\'t know what show is on or its rating. An MA rated show is wise to remind television viewers of its rating - Viewers Are Goldfish doesn\'t really apply to this.

* The new series ''Lights Out'' on FX tells you that the show is rated TV-MA (intended for mature audiences) after every commercial break before it goes back to the show. (That show is the only show on FX this troper has watched, so I don't know if any other shows there do that)
