* ''FanFic/DigimonFusionKai'' is retelling Anime/DragonBallZ under the Kai format with Franchise/{{Digimon}} characters playing the roles of said characters.
* ''FanFic/YuYuGiDigiMoon'' is a massive fan crossover with Franchise/SailorMoon, Franchise/{{Digimon}}, Franchise/YuGiOh, and Manga/YuYuHakusho to bring forth many adventures as Japan's superheroes.

** It also comes with their own AU based on Anime/GuiltyCrown called ''Fanfic/GuiltyCrownTheLostKingdoms'' with Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica as guests and later on cameos with [[spoiler:LightNovel/SwordArtOnline]].

** ''NeonGenesisEvangelionR'' was all written by one author but it has two branching continuities and has itself spawned fan fiction (such as ''[[ColonCancer Neon Genesis Evangelion: R: Redemption]]''). It's also unusually detailed for a piece of fan fiction and elaborates substantially on the [[AncientAstronauts nature of the angels]] compared with the original series.

* Inonibird's [[MetalGearSolid3 MGS3]] universe from TheCobraDays became so popular that other fans started writing in the same universe. Some notable fics to come out of it include [[http://KaruLeonnese.deviantart.com/art/Strange-Wind-44011251 "Strange Wind"]] and Ryuichifox's art and writings about the Fear and the Fury.

** ''Fanfic/SuperwomenOfEva'' are two separate Fan Verses that turn basically the entire female cast of ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion'' into superheroines. In the first 'verse, Misato becomes [[TheIncredibleHulk She-Hulk]], Asuka Comicbook/GhostRider, Rei the ComicBook/SilverSurfer, Ritsuko [[Franchise/SpiderMan Spider-Woman]], Maya ''all'' the Franchise/FantasticFour, Mana [[IronMan Iron Maiden]], etc., while the second 'verse has Misato joining the [[Franchise/GreenLantern Green Lantern Corps]], Asuka becoming PowerGirl, Rei [[ComicBook/WonderWoman Wonder Girl]], Ritsuko BlueBeetle, Maya {{Zatanna}}, Mana {{Steel}}, etc. Even some spinoff-only girls and the canonically ''dead'' mothers get into the game.

* [[http://www.tthfanfic.org/Author-22082/DianeCastle.htm DianeCastle's]] Fanfic/TheSecretReturnOfAlexMack and the 'Tera-Verse' has spawned ''twenty two'' recursive fanfics including two multiple story series.

* ''FanFic/{{Horseshoes and Hand Grenades}}'' by Green Phantom Queen has multiple stories revolving around other characters in the Series/KamenRiderFourze universe getting into fights all because Gentaro went evil, along with a PerspectiveFlip for the first 13 chapters for Gentaro and more.

* The ''{{Homestuck}}'' fandom has a few. For instance, there's the [[http://www.mspaforums.com/showthread.php?34044 TROLL!COPS]] AU, which puts the characters in a CopShow-like modern setting. Or the [[http://www.mspaforums.com/showthread.php?34445 Population series]] -- where the twelve trolls settle down on Earth after the canon plot is over. The stories tell about how the trolls and their numerous progeny try to integrate themselves into Earth society, have wacky interpersonal hijinx, and [[HotterAndSexier lots and lots of sex]].

* ''Fanfic/TranscendenceAU'' is a verse that sprung up around GravityFalls overnight and is currently growing exponentially. It's a bit unusual in that there's no central fic. There's a blog, and the mods of the blog are the authorities on what is or isn't canon for the verse (particularly Mod Z, or Zilleniose on Tumblr), but in general the verse's canon is pretty loose and open to contribution from anyone, which is probably one of the reasons why it's growing at the frankly astounding rate that it is. Seriously, there are several new pages of content every day.

* There are several fanfics written by the same author using DCComics heroes set during the 1940s mixing elements of modern continuity with [[TheGoldenAgeOfComicBooks Golden Age]] tropes. WordOfGod says the basic impetus of this retro-style FanVerse was an excuse to write a story where [[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4540948/1/Superman_vs_Hitler Superman actually gets to punch out Hitler.]]

* {{StarTraks}} - This is a parody FanVerse for Franchise/StarTrek, it covers TOS, TNG, and [=DS9=]. Also has an X-Files variant called TraksFiles.

* The now-defunct ''GlobalGuardiansPBEMUniverse'' was the largest SharedWorld ''{{Champions}}'' FanVerse on the net.

* LiveJournal author [[http://miggy.livejournal.com miggy]] has provided ''{{Glee}}'' with the [[http://miggy.livejournal.com/tag/fanfiction:%20glee:%20mostverse Mostverse]], a small but growing set of {{continuation}} stories mostly centered around Rachel and Kurt going to college in the BigApplesauce and rooming together. It's remarkably in-character, not to mention OriginalFlavor.

* ''MegaTokyo'' has spawned at least three Fan Verses to date. The oldest is the ''MegaTokyo: the Clans'' game that started in 2001 on the MegaTokyo Forum, and which is ''still'' going (look for threads labled [Mt:tC] in the RP subforum). More recently is the Story Discussion Fanworks game that is hosted off site in its own dedicated forum. Most recently is the energetic FanFic/MegatokyoCampfireStory that can be found in the fanart subforum.

** On the subject of ''Franchise/HarryPotter'' fic, the ''FanFic/{{Dangerverse}}'' arguably qualifies as a FanVerse. Started by whydoyouneedtoknow (and yes, that is a ''TheIncredibles'' reference), the story reimagines the canon entirely. At last count the mainline story was at 1.18 million words and counting. As with the Dumbledore's Armyverse, there are numerous one-shots, missing scenes, and numerous AlternateUniverse fics by the author. At last count there were at least four alternate universes written by other authors.

* ''Fanfic/TranscendenceAU'' is a verse that sprung up around GravityFalls overnight and is currently growing exponentially

* As the game ''{{Oolite}}'' is itself a FanRemake of the classic ''{{Elite}}'', its ExpandedUniverse is basically a Fan Verse for that game by proxy.

* ''FanFic/YuYuGiDigiMoon'' is a massive fan crossover with Franchise/SailorMoon, Franchise/{{Digimon}}, Franchise/YuGiOh, and Manga/YuYuHakusho to bring many adventures as Japan's superheroes.

* ''{{Daria}}'' fanfic has expanded outwards into what's actually known as the ' ''Daria Expanded Universe'' ', with such fandom-created characters as Lynn Cullen, Jim Vitale, Pat Hackney VII, Richard Rawlings, Steve the security guard, Julia Carlyle, Michael Fulton, Alfred Phelps, Veronica Morgendorffer and Col. Kyle Armalin [[LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters and that's just a partial listing]] of ''Daria'' ExpandedUniverse original characters) freely interacting with the canon characters. ({{Daria}} fans know these folks as if they had been on the show itself.) On the fandom's Wiki, there's actually a listing for the ' ''Daria Multiverse'' ', and many of the original characters have Wiki entries and histories as fully fleshed-out as the canon characters.

* ''{{Daria}}'' fanfic has expanded outwards into what's actually known as the ' ''Daria Expanded Universe'' ', with such fandom-created characters as Lynn Cullen, Jim Vitale, Richard Rawlings, Michael Fulton, Alfred Phelps and Col. Kyle Armalin freely interacting with the canon characters. ({{Daria}} fans know these folks as if they had been on the show itself.) On the fandom's Wiki, there's actually a listing for the ' ''Daria Multiverse'' '.

* ''[[FanFic/ArceusArchives Arceus' Archives]]'', otherwise known as the Archiverse, is one of these to the Pokémon fandom.
* The ''NineteenEightyThreeDoomsdayStories'' AU for ''AxisPowersHetalia'' has expanded to included contributions from other artists and authors.

* The ''[[http://www.nsamo.net/SME/ Sailor Moon Expanded]]'' community was a prime example of a FanVerse. The writings of over a dozen authors were combined with the goal of adding new and interesting characters, stories, and information to the ''SailorMoon'' universe without contradicting established canon. In many instances, particularly in the works of Mark Latus, the expanded material is more interesting and concise than the original source. It [[DeadFic hasn't been updated with new material]] in quite some time, however.

* ''{{Immortality Protocol Cy-Fox}}'' is a fanfic-verse derived from ''{{Sonic the Hedgehog}}'' which takes place ExtyYearsFromNow in what is perceived to be our reality (minus the obvious creation of the Sonic games in [[TheNineties the 1990s]])

* ''{{The Aethion Expanded Multiverse}}'' is a universe where any Franchise/{{Bionicle}} fanfic writer can put their own work in and be considered "fanon" for the universe.
