Despite his wide work on ''Machinima/ShadowOfIsraphel''[='=]s art direction, Duncan appears to have gradually gotten out of practice following ''Shadow of Israphel''[='=]s hiatus. In 2012, he had a kind of rivalry with Sjin, though by 2014, they freely worked in co-op Minecraft series as well. He's also done a lot of work with LetsPlay/KimRichards using the [=YogCraft=] modpack in ''LetsPlay/TheApprentice'' and with Galacticraft and Yogscast Complete in ''LetsPlay/FluxBuddies''.

** The reason that his Skyblock series with Sjin ended is that he knocked Sjin over the edge. This would normally not be a case of EpicFail, but in doing so [[spoiler:the buckets that Sjin was carrying were LostForever, making it impossible to continue with their plans and basically prematurely ending the show]].

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: In the ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'' "Terminator" minigame, his way of protecting the levers from the survivors was to simply go up to the last lever and guard it, that way ensuring that the survivors would be forced to put themselves in harm's way and that he wouldn't be wasting time in hunting them down, having murdered a few of them already. [[spoiler:It worked, and he won.]] It was LetsPlay/{{Nilesy}}'s idea originally, but his execution of it was pretty good.

* TheSmartGuy: Takes care of all the complicated recipes in Tekkit, and shares joint duty with Lewis in Galacticraft and the Yogscast Complete Pack.

** Due to Simon's ongoing absence from the main channel, Duncan has joined up with Sjin and Lewis to fill the void.

* ChronicPetKiller: In every minecraft series he has done with Kim, their pets died. First it was Tiddles, who died having a bucket of Lava dumped on it. Then Tiddles II died when Duncan tried to shove him through a nether portal and it jumped into a lava pool, Mickey the Questing Ram who was disintegrated by the force field Duncan activated and Lady the Chocobo who died because she ran off after Duncan set her on "Follow" mode and jumped into the Lava pool near the Sky Stones.

* ChronicPetKiller: In every minecraft series he has done with Kim, their pets died. It involved Lava every time: First it was Tiddles, who died having a bucket of Lava dumped on it. * EvilIsPetty: Part of his persona in ''VideoGame/{{Civilization}} V''. [[spoiler:He starts razing LetsPlay/{{Rythian}}'s buildings when it becomes apparent that his own betrayal failed horribly. He later reveals that the whole of season two was revenge for Rhythian attacking his spearmen early in the game.]]

* EvilIsPetty: Part of his persona in ''VideoGame/{{Civilization}} V''. [[spoiler:He starts razing LetsPlay/{{Rythian}}'s buildings when it becomes apparent that his own betrayal failed horribly.]]

* CerebusSyndrome: Most of the current Yogscast Minecraft series is inherently light-hearted, plotwise, especially in comparison to the 'darker and edgier' older series of SOI and the BlackRock Chronicals. The only major dark undertone in every current Yogscast Minecraft series is their individual connections to Duncan, the mystery over why there are so many 'Duncans', and one particular Duncan who goes by the name 'Lalnable'...

** In series 2 of ''VideoGame/{{Civilization}} V'', [[spoiler:he tried betraying LetsPlay/{{Rythian}} by moving all his units into Rythian's borders and then turning on him... which would have been a sound plan, except for the fact that his units were ridiculously weak compared to Rythian's GatlingGood]]. In fact, his performance throughout that whole game/series wasn't great, owing to the fact that he was Venice and thus needed to get moving quickly, something he failed to do, which left him in last place.

* {{Kayfabe}}: Out of the whole Yogscast, he is the ''only'' one who pretends that his character in each series is a seperate person. Most [[{{Egregious}} Egregiously]], whenever somebody tells him to "magic police" a problem away, he feigns ignorance, even though ''everybody knows he's a member''.
** Except that's not it at all. There are multiple hints across the various series that there are ''multiple Duncans'' on the server. It's part of the plot building going on.

* DistressedDude: In ''LetsPlay/{{MoonQuest}}'', [[spoiler:he ends up stranded on the moon for several episodes after his rescue of Simon fails]]. To make matters worse, LetsPlay/LewisBrindley and LetsPlay/SimonLane were too busy screwing around with a laser turret to rescue him.
