** The term "agent", used in reference to Dino Attack soldiers. This is an Artifact of early fan speculation on Toys/LEGODinoAttack being a continuation of Toys/LEGOAlphaTeam (not helped by the fact that Mission Deep Freeze minifig faces were used as substitutes for Specs, Digger, Shadow, and Viper when the sets were revealed at Toy Fair 2005). Once official story details were published through LEGO's website and magazine, it would become clearer that Dino Attack and Alpha Team were unrelated, and it simply no longer made sense that the militaristic Dino Attack Team would refer to its members with the same designation as the Alpha Team secret intelligence agency. However, by this point, the term "Dino Attack agent" had become so well-used and familiar to RPG players that nobody bothered to stop using it, so it stuck around even though it didn't make sense.

** First Assignment,
The Madness of Agent Zero, and Time and Place fleshed out several unimportant extras, such as Walker, Lisa, Redshirt, Fate, and Belle, giving them much more screentime than they had in which he was the leader of the mission to LEGO Studios.original RPG.

** It can seem strange reading Atton Rand's early posts, which at best were a rough summary of what was happening, full of contrived coincidences and artistic license in medicine (with his characters repeatedly suffering absurd injuries and recovering quickly) along with his three characters- Zenna, Axle, and Elizabeth- compared to his numerous [=NPCs=] now. Also his depiction in the LEGOIsland arc of a very clear cut "Demonization realists are evil" ideology is noticeably different from his more recent posts, which are more morally gray and tend to be somewhat grounded in reality whenever possible.

* AmusingAlien: Laxus, being a Deadpan Snarker, has several pretty amusing lines.

* AppropriatedAppellation:
** The "zeen" in "Frozeen" came from a kindergarten teacher's botched attempt at reading Zachary Abody's handwriting.
** The origin of Amanda's nickname "Amanda Claw" was the result of Roger Remous flubbing the act of introducing her to Rex. She thought it was amusing and decided to keep the nickname.
** The name "Fogel" was originally coined as an insult, but Fogel decided to bear it with pride.

* BatmanGrabsAGun: Rex, the extreme idealist who swore to never kill Mutant Dinos, went into HeroicSafeMode, grabbed a metal pipe, and beat a Mutant Lizard to death with it. Followed by a moment of MyGodWhatHaveIDone

* BigStupidDoodooHead: The harshest insult that Fogel, an even darker and more evil version of Evil Ogel, could come up with was "Mrs. Dumb-Mouth".

* BlatantBurglar: The Brickster, who wears a DominoMask and a jail jumpsuit at all times. His Brickster-Bots also wear the jail clothes.

** LeaningOnTheFourthWall:
*** When talking about Stromlings, Trigger told his companions to "forget everything you've seen in text-based RPGs" and proceeded to explain how a person who was a Stromling is practically dead, and love doesn't work. It's ironic when one considers that he is in a text-based RPG and there actually was a character who overcame his Stromling infection through the power of love. Of course to be fair it might be that the latter was just a once-in-a-lifetime case that only occurs with true, genuine love, and that such a thing does not happen very often, in which case his statement still makes sense.
*** For reasons he cannot explain, Zachary Virchaus cannot bring himself to say the word "idiot", censoring the word with the phrase "cool dude".
*** In a conversation played both for laughs and drama, Shaw, talking about her faith, mentioned "[=PeabodySam=]" as a possible deity.
** MediumAwareness:
*** Although Trigger slightly touched upon this when he Leaned on the Fourth Wall, Aster Oid and are the only ones who figured out that they were actually in a text-based roleplay game (and, before that, a polygon-based videogame in Aster's case).
** NoticingTheFourthWall:

* TheBusCameBack: , both in a BackForTheFinale fashion.

* CaptainColorbeard: Greybeard, Goldbeard, and Redbeard.

** PredatorsAreMean: There are four main types of mutant dinosaurs (two of which technically aren't actually dinosaurs), all of which are carnivorous breeds. There have been no known sightings of a Mutant Triceratops, a Mutant Stegosaurus, or Mutant Brontosaur.

* CerebusRetcon:
** Some of Chompy's dialogue in Dino Attack RPG suggests that he suffered some emotional scarring as a result of Dr. Kilroy giving him to Frozeen in Roleplay/AlphaTeamMissionDeepFreezeRPG. Even though Dr. Kilroy did it out of gratitude to Alpha Team and Frozeen was a NiceGuy who always cared for Chompy, being taken from his family at such a young age without any say in the matter was probably not the best thing for Chompy.
** Roger Remous was literally introduced for no purpose other than to introduce Amanda Claw and then get killed off without much fanfare. As of the LEGO Island story arc, his death has taken a far more serious toll on Amanda, and Love and War made his disappearance the driving force of Rex and Amanda's motivations in the second half of the story.
** The Madness of Agent Zero explains BZP Noob #30000's now non-canon Toys/BIONICLE-related material as Zero slowly suffering a mental breakdown. He nearly gets killed by a Mutant T-Rex when he thinks that he has transformed into a Toa but is really just wearing a pair of night -vision goggles.
** In Dino Attack RPG and Merciful Escape, Rex's LaserGuidedAmnesia was treated as little more than a plot point. In First Assignment, we learn for the first time just what effect an erased memory had on Rex's mental state:
-->Having nothing, not even memories to look back upon, left him with a terrible, overwhelming emptiness that often kept him awake at night. He often felt as though he was peering into a black hole, fearing that what little remained of him would soon be dragged into the darkness as well. At times, he could feel that it was only his sense of purpose in joining Dino Attack Team that kept him grounded in reality.
** Aster Oid's memory card getting dusty and resulting in him BreakingTheFourthWall? Hilarious! experiencing the same MediumAwareness, which causes him to GoMadFromTheRevelation? Suddenly not funny anymore.

[[spoiler:that Rex later remembered and helped him break away from the Darkitect's illusions.]] Similarly, Frozeen's insanity from the Roleplay/AlphaTeamMissionDeepFreezeRPG had a brief relapse to grant him InsanityImmunity.

** The rationale of the founding members when they temporarily promoted Shannon Grimton, who was a technology expert, to head of communications. Of course, they only remembered afterwards that they had Hertz, who was much closer for the job...
** When Pierce decided to marry Sarah Bishop, the closest thing they had to an actual minister was a shy, semi-religious young doctor. Not exactly the best choice but it was either her or Pharisee.
** Think a semi-religious doctor the ClosestThingWeGot to a minister? During Rex and Amanda's WartimeWedding, Greybeard proclaimed that he was the Closest Thing We Got... because he's the oldest Minifig on the team?

* DitzyGenius: Naomi Carver was originally introduced as TheDitz, and indeed this was Hertz's first impression of her. Later, however, Hertz commented on Naomi's intelligence.

* DontAsk: You probably don't want to know the reason why Amanda knows not to hide dead or unconscious bodies in utility closets.
* DontMakeMeDestroyYou: Dr. Rex to Talia Kaahs.
* DontSneakUpOnMeLikeThat: Sam Race was easily startled by Greybeard after the final battle, one of several hints pointing towards PTSD being a long-term effect of the Dino Attack for Race.
* DontYouDarePityMe:
** Minerva did not want Zach to feel sorry for her because of her past.
** Rex's response to anyone who feels sorry for him because of .

** DefiantToTheEnd: last words were a big "ZNAP YOU!" to SNKBoss Dr. Rex.
** HeroicSacrifice:
*** Tracer, who allowed his entire Creative Spark to be used as Maelstrom antidote after having been fatally shot by Zelda Frodongan.
*** Mur allowed himself to be killed by the Dino Attack Team so Cranky could finally be defeated.
*** sacrificed his life so that his Creative Spark could empower the Imagination orb and defeat .
*** sacrificed himself to buy Rex and others enough time to escape SNKBoss Dr. Rex.
*** Libo performed one to save General, Shock, and Sam Throramebi.
*** each performed one to hold off SNKBoss Dr. Rex from reaching the headquarters.
*** sacrificed himself to let his team use his Creative Spark to power the Einstein Device.
*** HeroicSuicide: Rev Raptor, to avoid turning out like his father.
*** YouShallNotPass: Libo, who destroyed the Stone Tower Bridge (while still standing on it) to prevent the Mutant Dinos from following his friends.

* ElaborateUndergroundBase: The Goo Caverns.

* EmbarrassingNickname: Ronald E. Army, whose nickname "Soldier" is actually an insult to his status as a sergeant.

** RotatingProtagonist: Every post in Dino Attack RPG shifts the perspective to another character, especially since players are not allowed to post twice in a row due to Website/BZPower forum rules.
*** It can even happen in just one post. Many players in the RPG have a number of NPC's besides their main character, and a single post will often shift between the perspectives of different characters. For instance, Atton Rand's post frequently switched between the point of view of Rotor, Pierce, Cabin, Kate, and occasionally Clint Wayne.

* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** Señor Palomar has his Spanish Honor.
** Several high-ranking XERRD scientists, most notably Dr. Breen and Dr. Bishop, seemed opposed to the idea of abandoning XERRD Fortress and leaving the lower-ranking scientists for death.
** Dr. Strangebrick is more than willing to help XERRD take control of the Maelstrom, but when he's betrayed by his superiors that's where he draws the line.
** Evil Ogel, whose minions are literally zombies, expressed disgust at the concept of the Quasifigus Hybrids.

* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep:
** TheBartender in Greybeard's flashback/dream sequence.
** Helmie was simply referred to as "the barge helmsman" during the beginning of the Goo Caverns story arc.

** EvilVersusOblivion: Pretty much the justification for the above cases of EvilVersusEvil. For example, Ogel wishes to rule the world, while [[spoiler:Baron Typhonus seeks to destroy it through XERRD]], prompting Ogel to ally with Dino Attack Team to help defeat the Maelstrom.

* ExtremeMeleeRevenge: Rex let loose bottled-up anger from Kotua and Rotor upon French Fries in a particularly brutal moment of At War's End.

* EyepatchOfPower: Snake, Demoman, Colonel, Holly Vinyaya, and Captain Click.

* FinalBossNewDimension: While it wasn't the final boss of the whole RPG, the Brickspider Bot was the final boss of the LEGO Island story arc and it was fought in the Torn World.

* FirstNameBasis: Kate, David, Zachary, Jenny, Rex, and Andrew.

* ForScience: Michelle Glados's primary motivation.

** Trigger himself outright stated that Silencia killed five of his six partners at Mindstorms, Inc. Given that we actually see Trigger trying to call Montoya, it becomes clear that it doesn't end well for Orange, Scorsese, Verbal, Keaton, or Deniro.
*** Due to Silencia Venomosa's threat to Michelle Glados, it's obvious that the flashback won't end well for Uærlig Sindstorme or Edward Korrupte either.

** Similarily, the previous story arc had not one, not two, but three different plots going on. Much focus was on the LEGOIsland mission, but it wasn't long before we were jumping back and forth between the agents in the Torn World, the mission in Antarctica, the refugee riots, Zenna's exposure of the Antarctica mission and ensuing chaos, an entire civil war going on as the result of a genocidal maniac wanting to murder anyone with the slightest idealistic beliefs, the comic relief provided by Enter and Return, Zenna's working relationship with Pierce in the hospital, and Hotwire and B gallivanting off to find Kat after Cane returned and captured her.

Added DiffLines:

* FullNameBasis:
** Sam Throramebi, Sam Sinister, and Sam Race are victims of this trope for obvious reasons.
** When referred to by his real name, Andrew Jackson, Pyro falls under this trope in order to avoid confusing players, due to two other Dino Attack agents named Andrew Anderson and Barry Jackson.

Added DiffLines:

* FutureMeScaresMe: Lord Sam Sinister made it known that he was afraid of Finister. Even Evil Ogel felt uncomfortable around Fogel.

* ArchnemesisDad: Rev Raptor's greatest foe was his father, Jecht "Landro" Raptor.

* ArtifactTitle: Love and War is a rewrite of the scene where Rex and Amanda first met and fell in love with one another. However, Love and War itself does not feature any love between Rex and Amanda; in this version, the seeds for a future romantic relationship are planted, but at this time it is only a platonic friendship.

*** Semick, Bluetooth, Raider, Pilot, Scout, Defend, and Pharisee are featured in a story set before any of those characters were introduced to the original RPG. Ata also makes an early appearance, but only just barely, since this story takes place just before Ata's debut in the RPG. While he doesn't actually appear, Python refers to a rookie agent who is implied to be Alpha (again, before Alpha's player joined the RPG).
*** When Zero , referencing events that would not happen until later in the RPG.

** Tons of these pop up in The Madness of Agent Zero, especially during Zero's interrogation and subsequent mad dash to the technology center. In addition to the non-canon elements of BZP Noob #30000's writings, it's shown that things such as Banchicto and Hyrode's African viper form were among Zero's hallucinations.
