** Tropers/CaellachTigerEye: To add insult to injury, Kurenai's been practically downgraded to NeutralFemale ever since she got pregnant and had a child (doing exactly what her father asked her to...huh). I mean, it's kind of justified that she needs to devote her time to her baby as a single parent since Asuma's death, but what's jarring is that, unlike the male Jonin, she wasn't allowed to fight much at all prior to this. Despite her reputation, the one fight she's had in the entire series was against Itachi, who demolished her... and that's it. She's reduced to the role of a baby-maker (children-are-our-future and all that drab), and that's all. Damn it, Kubo!

** Tropers/CaellachTigerEye: To add insult to injury, Kurenai's been practically downgraded to NeutralFemale ever since she got pregnant and had a child. It's justified that she needs to devote her time to her baby as a single parent since Asuma's death, but what's jarring is that, unlike the male Jonin, she wasn't allowed to fight much at all prior to this. Despite her reputation, the one fight she's had in the entire series was against Itachi, who demolished her... and that's it.

* Tropers/DrHQ: We got a flashback to the struggle with the Kyuubi. We see Kakashi, Gai, Asuma and Kurenai when they were younger, being told to stay behind. Kurenai is specifically told to stay behind so that she can have loads of grandchildren for her father, because she's a woman. He actually says that. No consideration for her choice, just 'you are a woman, have children.' On top of every other sexist thing in this manga this was where I snapped.

She seemed to be doing well enough for her character before, reacting as one would probably expect for her position, but then the Kage Summit happens and she blows it all to pieces. First, she tries to trick Naruto into stopping his search for Sasuke, which he doesn't fall for and just makes him angry. Second, she then decides to search for him herself, putting her teammates in harms way for her own justified, but still selfish goals. Third, she actually thinks she can trick him once the two finally meet up. Fourth, after almost getting killed by Sasuke for the SECOND time in the course of the story, she stops herself before stabbing him with a kunai because she still can't wrap her head around what he's done. I could imagine maybe unconsciously missing, that would be a good way to write it, but full-on stopping? Bullcrap. And then finally, after Sasuke leaves, she outright states that she can't do anything anymore and has to leave it up to Naruto and Sasuke. In that one fell swoop, aside from her new abilities established at the beginning of Part 2, all her development over nearly 500 chapters is flushed down the toilet. This is why you don't give the distinction of the "embodiment of the weakness of the human heart" to the female lead, Kishimoto.

* Tropers/{{Animeking1108}}: The third ''Naruto'' movie has this one scene that pisses me off. Similar to the "Arthur's Big Hit" example on the WesternAnimation page, Naruto finally has it with [[BrattyHalfPint Hikaru]]. After one too many insults, Naruto [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome finally grabs the little brat]] and [[DopeSlap knocks him on the head.]] This was a small bop, and the kid starts crying bloody murder. Sakura hears this and uppercuts Naruto. Even though the brat was asking for it, everyone looks at Naruto like HE'S the bad guy. Naruto is tied up and starved until he apologizes. And just to add insult to injury, Sakura [[KickTheDog taunts Naruto by holding the food in front of him and eating it]]. This is especially [[{{Hypocrite}} hypocritical]] of Sakura since she herself has shown no problems when striking children (Konohamaru, anyone?).

A character who is supposed to be the "embodiment of the weakness of the human heart" could have been such an interesting, likeable character if handled well. Instead, Kishimoto's treatment and characterization of Sakura has turned her into TheScrappy for a large segment of the fans, and the worst part is that she's hardly the only potentially interesting character who got completely shafted.

* Tropers/{{Nekogal89}}: Hinata's treatment since the "Invasion of Pain" arc, at least in the manga. You know, the most popular female character in the SERIES,[[YourMilageMayVary according to the popularity poll's.]] She finally admits her love for Naruto, fights what is basically the most destructive force to hit Konoha, in an [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome Epic]] [[HeroicSacrifice Heroic Sacrifice]], her near death drives Naruto more insane than ever, and then what? She's healed and shoved into the background. Her near death isn't brought up in over a YEAR in real time, and even then it's only a passing "Oh yeah, she did do that didn't she? Huh". She's left behind when everyone else goes to stop Naruto from nearly killing himself against Sasuke. When she's FINALLY given some action again in the "Shinobi World War" arc, does the fight get any real focus, unlike EVERY OTHER SINGLE FIGHT SHOWN!? Nope, couple of scene's then everyones fine....Time to face facts, I guess; [[FoeYay Naruto's too ridiculously in love with Sasuke to ever find time for Hinata.]]

Kishimoto has been painting it in a way that we're supposed to AGREE WITH ITACHI ABOUT EVERYTHING HE'S DONE!! I mean, it was bad enough the excuse of "just testing out my power" and his justification to let Sasuke live just so he can "test himself out against him". To discover that [[spoiler: he killed his own clan without questioning because they were setting up a coup, BECAUSE THE LEAF COUNCIL WERE ACCUSING THEM OF BEING BEHIND THE KYUBI ATTACK FOR NO BETTER REASON THAN "YOUR ANCESTOR DID IT ONCE WITH HIS FORBIDDEN, RARE TECHNIQUE"?! And that the whole MindRape and torture of Sasuke was just so he could kill him and cover it all up?!]] Now Kishimoto was just pushing it. Now, we are revealed that [[spoiler: Itachi planned a fail-proof in case Sasuke decided to avenge his clan. A crow, planted in Naruto's belly, with a Forbbiden Genjutsu that would, basically, BRAINWASH SASUKE INTO BEING THE VILLAGE'S SLAVE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE, KILLING HIS FREE-WILL COMPLETELY]]!!!! WORSE OF ALL, NARUTO HEARS ALL THIS AND JUST SAYS ITACHI WAS DOING A GOOD JOB?!?!?! That is just the crowning jewel of all the infinite Dethroning Moments of Suck in Naruto, the mentioned above and others, but Kishimoto [[spoiler: passing Itachi's genocide of HIS OWN FAMILY under the Leaf's orders as A GOOD THING?!]] I've had it with Naruto! Hell even Sasuke could suppress the Fox's chakra with his Sharingan. Tell me, what were they supposed to think when 1: The Uchiha's Leaders were no where to be found at the night of the attack. 2: The control breaks and Kyubi has a Sharingan eyes. 3: The Sharingan can suppress the Fox's chakra or outright control the beast.]] And its not 'genocide', its a legitimate stopping of a rebellion of a clan that's always been power hungry.
